Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian penggunaan komposit Karboksimetil Kitosan (KMK) dan fraksi amilosa sebagai inhibitor korosi pada baja lunak dalam media HCl 1 M.  Penentuan efisiensi inhibisi korosi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode gravimetri dan karakterisasi dipelajari berdasarkan foto morfologi permukaan baja menggunakan peralatan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa efisiensi inhibisi korosi optimum 91,82% terjadi pada perbandingan KMK dan fraksi amilosa (7:3) mL dengan waktu kontak 3 hari dalam media HCl 1 M. Sedangkan hasil karakterisasi memperlihatkan bahwa terbentuk lapisan yang homogen pada permukaan baja dengan menggunakan komposit KMK dan fraksi amilosa yang berfungsi mencegah serangan ion-ion Cl- pada permukaan baja lunak.   Keywords : Amilosa, Baja lunak, Inhibitor korosi,  Karboksimetil kitosan

Abstract

This research produced bi isel from Crude Pin 0 (çPQ) and ccdensate waste which their productionsincreased every year. Biodiesel was friendly to environment and it could be directly used on dieselengines. Biodiesel was produced with transesterification reaction between triglycerides and methanol,and it was added with catalyst of NaOCH3. This research resulted that biodiesel produced from CPOapproached standard characteristic: density of 0.8613 gr/nil and viscosity of 5.4474 cP. Then,biodiesel produced from mixture between condensate waste and CPO was far enough from standardcharacteristic.

Abstract

Evaluation of students learning result at department of Chemistry educationFKIP Riau University on 1st Physical Chemistry subject is not reliable yet. It occursbecause students are not ready in lecture caused by less knowledge. It is necessary todevelop ad improve learning quality on this subject by giving task of doing summarybefore and after lesson. Subject of this research is student in 1st Physical Chemistry classon even semester 2006/2008. There are 32 student in this class. From summary sheetsbefore lesson, almost of all student make their summary in order basic theory. Whereasfrom summary sheets after lesson, student just write what was has been taught by lectureand not know much. Observation result as long as learning process shows that studenttrend are active. Development result shows 28 student achieve known degree ≥ 65% and4 students achieve know degree ≤ 65%. This result also shows that learning reliableclassically is of 87,5 %.Keywords: Reliable, Physical Chemistry, Summary

Abstract

It has been done modification of amylose from starch tapioca and garut and then it has been changed to beamylose acetate which is degradable biopolymer. Amylose was separated from starch by method of butanolas complexing on high temperature and pressure. The yielded amylose was then acetylated by anhydrideacetate acid in glacial acetate acid solution with catalyst of concentrated sulfuric acid. Characterization wascarried out based on spectrometry of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The result of amilosaspectrum showed that peak of group -OH was on 3437.25 cm and amilosa acetate spectrum had peak on1749.91 cm and it proved that acetyl reaction occurred. In this research, modification of starch tapioca wassuccessful but starch garut unsuccessful.Key words : amylose, acetate amylose.

Abstract

It has been done the resistance test of chitosan/polysulfon composite membrane toward of  solvent. Result showed that composite membrane  was resisted to pH of 5.5. It was indicated by the highest swelling percentage, that is 75.48%. These result were supported by porous photo membrane using SEM that is across-section , up surface and bottom photo  showed that happed change porous structure membrane but structure tying membrane can not experiencing of damage. Abstract

Carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) was synthesized with different methods by reacting chitosan with monochloroaceticacid in the presence of sodium hydroxide under variation conditions. The above samples were characterized byFourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and soluble in water in range of pH. The CMc were soluble in watera wide range of pH and applied as corrosion inhibitor for steel in water. The inhibiting influence of CMC was studiedby potentiodynamic polarization method. It was found thad corrosion rate was dependent on water pH and CMCconcentration. The results show that optimum the inhibition efficiency at pH 5 and 1 ppm concentration CMC, i.e.,77%. The adsorption of used compound on the steel surface obeys modified Langmuir isotherm. Polarizationmeasurement show that the CMC acts essentially as a anodic-type inhibitor.

Abstract

This research is intended to learn inhibition efficiency of mild steel corrosion in peat water using two type ofchitosan. First chitosan is without treatment and the second one is synthesized by ionotropic gelation method andthen is characterized by Fourier transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).Diameter of chitosan porous is about 500 nm which is measured based on morphological photo using SEM withinhomogeneous porous shape and porous distribution is unsmooth . Effect of chitin and chitosan on the corrosionof mild steel in peat water is studied using weight loss method. It is found that corrosion inhibition efficiencydepends on peat water pH, inhibition technique and interaction time. The results show that inhibition efficiency ofchitosan without treatment and with treatment are 88.73% and 93.32% respectively. The inhibition is assumed tooccur via physicsorption of the chitin and chitosan molecules on the metal surface. The Langmuir adsorptionisotherm is tested for their fit to the experimental data.

Abstract

Abstract : Has made the application of active learning strategy of Firing Line to improve student achievement on the topic of Reaction Rate in class XI IPA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The research is a type of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class XI IPA3 as the experimental class and students of class XI IPA2 as the control class. Experimental class is a class that is applied to active learning strategy of Firing Line while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on data analysis of data obtained tcount> ttable is 2,53>1,67, means that the application of active learning strategy of Firing Line can improve student learning achievement on the topic of Reaction Rate in class XI SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The category improvement of student achievement at experiment class was high category with N-gain normalized is 0,78. Meanwhile, the category improvement of student achievement in control class was medium category with N-gain normalized is 0,68.Keywords: Firing Line, Active Learning, Achievement, Reaction Rate.

Abstract

Abstract : Research has been done to get student’s mastery learning with by using model Cooperative Listening Team inclass XI Science SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. This research is pra-experimentre search with one-shot study case design. The sampel use random from the four class XI Science. This research was conducted in class XI Science IPA 4, the for two month’s from november to desember 2014. Data analysis technique by using five formula mastery: mastery individual learning objectives (KTPI), mastery each of the learning objectives (KMTP), classical mastery learning objectives (KTPK), mastery learning of individual (KI), mastery learning classical (CBC). Research for the final show that classical mastery learning objectives 80% and mastery learning classical is 91,667%. It’s means that the application of cooperative learning model of Listening Team can achieve student’s mastery learning on the subject of chemical equiblirium inclass XI IPA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Listening Team, mastery learning, chemical equilibrium

Abstract

Abstract: Has conducted a comparative study to find out significant differences in student’s achievement and to determine student’s achievement higher between implementation of cooperative learning models TSTS and TPS on learning topic of Atomic Structure and Elements of the Periodic System at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. This is an true experimental research with Design Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest. The research sample consisted of 2 experimental classes with the implementation of cooperative learning models TSTS and TPS, and 1 control class. Research data analysis using ANOVA one way followed by Scheffe multiple comparison test. Based on the results of data processing by ANOVA one way obtained that Fcount > Ftable is 15,37 > 3,08 which shows that there are significant differences in student achievement between the experimental class TSTS, TPS, and control class. The results of data processing by Scheffe multiple comparison test was obtained the difference between the average experimental class of TSTS and TPS exceeded the values Scheffe is 4,79 > 4,68 and an average experimental class of TSTS higher than average experimental class of TPS is 54,1 > 49,31 which shows that there are significant differences in student’s achievement between implementation of cooperative learning models TSTS and TPS. Student’s achievement with implementation of cooperative learning models TSTS higher than TPS on learning topic of Atomic Structure and Elements of the Periodic System in class XI IPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru.Keywords: TSTS, TPS, Learning Achievement, Atomic Structure and Elements of the Periodic System
