Abstract

The background of this research come from of the result of research faculty beginners which have been raised in 2011 by title “The Evaluation of Learning Method in Education Media Subject at FKIP UMMY”. Based on that result, researcher interest to develop research about how applying of instructional media in school practice by student field practice of FKIP. This type of the research is qualitative research. Means of collecting data in this researchis the researchers them selves and the team, and comes with interview, observation guidelines, and documentation to assure the validity ofthe dataisbased on standardsof credibility as the standard fit and easier to analyze that data and research would be moreaccurate. Guarantor ofthe validity ofthe datais done byan extension ofthe standardof participation, a more diligen to bservation and triangulation. The results of this research is student field practicehavethe ability and skill in using the media to implement the learning, in spite of the media used simple. The problems in the use of media in school practice is a)a short learning period, b) student field practice in comprehensi on factor in using the media, c) the electricity has not reached the classroom, d) lack of understanding of students field practice in using the media and e) classroom managementnot good, not supportfor the use of instructional media.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze 1) Motivation of students in finishing thesis, 2) Lecturer responces to student's motivation in finishing thesis, 3) Factors that influence student's motivation in finishing thesis. This research is qualitative research. The key informant are the students and lecturer of Economics Education. The interview given to the informant by using sampling insidental technique. The result of this research are: 1) Which where students had been doing thesis, consul, read a lot refences, however there are some students of Economics Education yet show their seriously in finishing thesis 2) Lecturer responces include to student’s motivation in finishing thesis are getting better, its shows from the students meet the lecturer to get thesis consul. However, still some students who not yet meet their academic consul at all, 3) There are two factors that effect students motivation. Intrinsic factor, such as student's motivation to invest in yourself, keep motivation from that desiring or eager to work on thesis. But students difficulties of keeping the motive for in herself when many obtacles in face in the resolution of thesis as for reference books, process data after research make students lazy to do so that the motive for thesis in those accessible well. While external factor, motivation students easily get encouragement and enthusiasm from various parties. For that, researcher suggest the students to increase their motivation in doing the research and following the rules by the advisors in order to gradute on time.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of literacy culture owned by students of SD Negeri 04 X Korong Kota Solok. This type of research is a quantitative study using descriptive methods. Sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The population of this study were students of SD Negeri 04 IX Korong Kota Solok, with a total sample of 38 people, consisting of all students in Class V. This was taken by purposive sampling due to the limitations of the authors in taking samples during the pandemic. The data analysis method used is the test instrument, namely the validity test and reliability test. Quantitative data processing is accompanied by analysis. The results showed (1) books that most elementary school students like are story books, can be novels or other reading material, (2) the time used to read, on average is 25 minutes per day. This is presumably because students are also involved in other activities after school, such as helping their parents to work, (3) The reason for reading this Class V elementary school student, on average is dominated by 34%, likes reading, 26% does not like reading because it is boring, 26% caused by playing a lot. The rest is caused by not having time to read, prefer to watch and there are no good books according to them that make them interested in reading.
