Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan kemampuan baca mahasiswa setelah diberi perlakuan membaca dengan metode baca good reading. Metode penelitian: eksperimen, yakni unit eksperimen satu (N1=189), unit eksperimen dua (N2=68), unit eksperimen 3 (N3=129), unit eksperimen 4 (N4=57), unit eksperimen 5 (N5=61). Hasil penelitian: strata IPK mahasiswa memiliki hubungan non-signifikan dengan metode baca good reading. Strata IPK memiliki hubungan non-signifikan dengan waktu baca. Faktor keterampilan baca dan keterlatihan diduga memiliki keterkaitan dengan waktu baca. Semakin terampil dan terlatih untuk membaca, semakin singkat waktu bacanya. Kesimpulan: Mereka yang memiliki IPK tinggi lebih terampil baca dibandingkan dengan mereka yang memiliki IPK lebih rendah.Keywords: Kemampuan baca, good reading, Buku Teks, Ilmu Pengetahuan, Keterampilan

Abstract

The research carried out has the aim of analyzing, describing and knowing the innovative activities carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic at TBM Teras Baca Sekar Kinasih Sidareja. The approach used is a qualitative approach with data collection carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The primary data source used interviews with the managers of the reading terrace nowadays. Secondary data sources come from documents related to research. The research data were analyzed using the analysis of the interaction model of Milles and Huberman which originated from four activities, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that the reading terrace was very busy before the Covid-19 pandemic was very crowded with visitors or visitors who came to the reading terrace to borrow books, study computers, and read books on the reading terrace. Readers and the general public who visit the terrace read now. The books that are borrowed and read are books that suit their wants and needs, such as story books, novels, magazines, and business reference books. Visitors and people who visit read the book because they are interested and need information from the book and to gain insight and knowledge. Visitors and the general public who visit can take advantage of and use the facilities provided by the reading terrace TBM now. The facilities provided are various, Wi-Fi, computers, books, a comfortable reading place, etc. to support their fulfillment of information. However, since the covid-19 pandemic, TBM Teras Baca Sekar Kinasih has issued an innovative Football Pick-up Service. This service makes it easy for readers and the general public to meet their information needs without having to visit for some time because of this pandemic, namely the reading terrace staff will provide book lending services by delivering them to visitors by first contacting what books are needed and will be in between. to visitors by the staff of the Teras Baca Sekar Kinasih. Then, with this innovation, the service becomes effective and continues to run even though there has been a decrease in visits and reading interest of readers and the general public as usual. However, this does not become a barrier in carrying out this reading core innovation and remains a practical and efficient innovation.

Abstract

Library services are an illustration of the fulfillment of library functions. One of the services that must be provided in the library is a catalog service. A service that makes it easier for users to find the collection they need in addition to asking a reference service. The catalog has three objects as mentioned by Cutter, namely the find function, the collect function, and the select function. In addition, the existence of a catalog can facilitate librarians in the collection development process. Therefore, a catalog should be in every library. The purpose of writing is to find out whether the use of catalogs in the intended library has been effective? Has the library implemented a catalog service? Is the SLiMS application in the Library effective to use? The author uses qualitative research methods so that the results obtained can be in accordance with the facts that appear and are seen when researchers observe the state of the object, namely the Sindanglaya Small Library. With the results of the study that the Sindanglaya Regional Small Library has not applied catalog services properly, only relying on the arrangement on the bookshelves so that researchers work with managers to use online catalogs by inputting data collections from the library using the SLiMS application. , ,

Abstract

Abstrak Katalogisasi bahan pustaka di perpustakaan menjadi salah satu kegiatan utama yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan. Pada kegiatan katalogisasi, pengolahan data bahan pustaka dilakukan mulai dari merepresentasikan isi hingga fisik bahan pustaka ke dalam berbagai macam bentuk katalog. Saat ini, kegiatan katalogisasi di perpustakaan didukung dengan teknologi perangkat lunak (software) yang dapat menampung data di dalam sistemnya. Adanya penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui secara deskriptif kualitatif terkait penggunaan perangkat lunak untuk katalogisasi perpustakaan di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan (Diskarpus) Kota Banjar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi langsung di Diskarpus Kota Banjar dan wawancara bersama salah satu pustakawannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Diskarpus Kota Banjar telah menggunakan perangkat lunak SLiMS 8 Akasia untuk pembuatan katalog elektronik sejak tahun 2019. Namun, Diskarpus Kota Banjar mendapat imbauan dari Perpusnas RI untuk beralih menggunakan INLIS Lite dalam pembuatan katalognya. Hingga di tahun 2021, perpustakaan mengikuti imbauan tersebut dan mulai memanfaatkan INLIS Lite dalam sistem otomasi perpustakaan, termasuk kegiatan katalogisasinya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Diskarpus Kota Banjar telah memiliki pengalaman dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak SLiMS dan INLIS Lite. Kata Kunci: Katalogisasi, SLiMS, INLIS Lite, Dinas Kearsipan dan          Perpustakaan Kota Banjar  AbstractThe cataloging of library materials in the library is one of the main activities carried out by librarians. In cataloging activities, data processing of library materials is carried out starting from representing the contents to physical library materials into various forms of catalogs. Currently, cataloging activities in libraries are supported by software technology that can accommodate data in the system. The purpose of this research is to find out descriptively and qualitatively related to the use of software for library cataloging at Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan (Diskarpus) Kota Banjar. The research method used in this study was direct observation at Diskarpus Kota Banjar and interviews with one of the librarians. The results of the research showed that Diskarpus Kota Banjar had been using the SLiMS 8 Akasia software for electronic catalog creation since 2019. However, Diskarpus Kota Banjar received an appeal from Perpusnas RI to switch to using INLIS Lite in its catalog creation. Until 2021, the library followed the advice and began to use INLIS Lite in the library automation system, including its cataloging activities. Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the innovation activities and literacy movements carried out by the West Java Community Library Forum (FTBM) and the Jatmika Bandung Community Library (TBM) in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. This study aims to obtain an empirical picture of creative innovations created by FTBM in the West Java region, especially at TBM Jatmika Bandung, in order to remain productive in providing collection services and activities aimed at improving the culture of reading or community literacy during the pandemic. The results of the study show that each FTBM and TBM in the West Java region collaborate with each other and play an active role in creating innovative literacy activities and movements virtually or online without reducing the spirit of community literacy energy and literacy activists in West Java. FTBM and TBM in West Java created a new strategy, namely by transforming all of their activities into alternative digital media to encourage literacy activities with new faces that are more fun. In addition, this strategy is also useful in providing convenience for the community in meeting literacy needs wherever and whenever. Thus, TBM can continue to play a role as a means to increase reading interest and literacy skills of the people of West Java even in the midst of a pandemic.

Abstract

Knowledge is an important thing, especially in improving human resources, one of which is receiving education in schools. supporting knowledge in schools, namely school library facilities. The purpose of this study was to find out how the benefits of SLiMS as a digital catalog in processing library materials in the school library. The research method used was descriptive qualitative method with observation data collection techniques, literature studies and interviews with informants consisting of one librarian at SMPN 3 Jampangtengah. The results showed that the processing of library materials at SMPN 3 Jampangtengah is still conventional, therefore it is necessary to use SLiMS in processing library materials, especially in cataloging in order to make it easier to retrieve information and also store library material data in the SLiMS application. especially cataloging is very important in information retrieval in libraries, using SLiMS will make it easier to catalog and retrieve information efficiently.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kegiatan pengolahan koleksi di perpustakaan SMAN 1 Rancaekek Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Fokus permasalahan yang hendak dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengolahan katalog bahan koleksi perpustakaan dari yang manual menuju ke layanan berbasis otomatis di Perpustakaan SMAN 1 Rancaekek. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan proses pengolahan katalog dan kendala dalam menggunakan SLiMS. Pada kegiatan mengembangkan akses jaringan perpustakaan berbasis digital dengan menggunakan SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System). Hasil penelitian ini berjalan dengan baik namun efektivitas penggunaan SLiMS sebagai piranti lunak untuk input data-data buku dibutuhkan dukungan dari berbagai aspek yakni fasilitator dan perluasan akses. Pengolahan katalog koleksi bacaan yang terdapat di Perpustakaan SMAN 1 Rancaekek masih belum menggunakan SLiMS namun minat baca siswa terbilang cukup karena koleksi yang disediakan selalu terbaru dan menyesuaikan dengan lingkungan sekolah dan siswa/i SMAN 1 Rancaekek.

Abstract

The application of information technology in the library comes along with the development of human culture itself. The application of IT in libraries can function in various forms, including as a library management system that can be integrated with a library management system. Senayan Library Management System or Senayan or SLiMS is software that handles free library management with open source code. SLiMS has various features, such as Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), digital content/files, Bibliography/catalog database management, integrated catalog creation, serial publication control, integrated search engine creation, document item management with barcode support, master file management and support circulation. This study aims to see the benefits of using SLiMS in processing library materials at the State Elementary School of Jurumudi 1 Library. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through case studies in the field. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, literature, and document study. The results indicate that SLiMS facilitates the processing of library materials in SDN Jurumudi 1. The use of SLiMS speeds up the processing of library materials compared to conventional systems.
