Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk melindungi sumber daya genetik ternak Indonesia adalah dengan melakukan penetapan rumpun ternak, seperti penetapan galur kambing Senduro yang tertuang di dalam Keputusan Menteri Pertanian Republik Indonesia Nomor 1055/Kpts/SR.120/10/2014. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji sifat fenotipe kambing Senduro berdasarkan sifat kuantitatifnya, yaitu lebar telinga, lebar kepala, dan panjang kepala dan menghubungkan sifat fenotipe ini dengan bobot badan, umur ternak, dan body condition scoring (BCS). Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan korelasional. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 101 ekor kambing Senduro betina di Kelompok Ternak Senduro Etawah. Data diolah menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan Program SPSS 26.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kambing Senduro memiliki lebar telinga rata-rata 13,33 ± 1,97 cm, lebar kepala rata-rata 12,28 ± 1,23 cm, dan panjang kepala rata-rata 24,71 ± 1,62 cm. Lebar telinga kambing Senduro memiliki hubungan sangat kuat atau sangat nyata dengan BCS, memiliki hubungan kuat atau nyata dengan bobot badan, dan tidak memiliki hubungan dengan umur ternak. Lebar kepala kambing Senduro memiliki hubungan sangat kuat atau sangat nyata dengan bobot badan, memiliki hubungan kuat atau nyata dengan BCS, dan tidak memiliki hubungan dengan umur ternak. Panjang kepala kambing Senduro memiliki hubungan sangat kuat atau sangat nyata dengan bobot badan, memiliki hubungan sangat kuat atau sangat nyata dengan umur ternak, dan memiliki hubungan sangat kuat atau sangat nyata dengan BCS. Sifat kuantitatif lebar telinga, lebar kepala, dan panjang kepala kambing Senduro perlu diperhatikan sebagai variabel dalam pendugaan produksi ternak.

Abstract

Green betle leaf (Piper betle L.) is one of the plants used by the people of Indonesia for tradisional medicine. Green betle leaf contains antibacterial compounds consisting of phenol and its derivatives. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of green betle leaf (Piper betle L.) againt the bacteria Streptococcus agalactiae caused mastitis in dairy cows. Bacterial inhibition test by paper disc method. Data analysis using ANOVA by Nested design with 6 treatment and 6 repetitions. The results of this study green betle leaf (Piper betle L.) extract inhibiting the growth of bacteria Streptococcus agalactiae was significantly different (P<0,01). The conclusion were the extract of green betel leaf (Piper betle L.) can inhibit the growth of Streptococcus agalactiae and storage temperature has no effect, but storage periode gives effect the quality of green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.), so that the leaf extract storage green betel with distilled solvent recommended on 2nd days at refrigerator.

Abstract

The red betel leaves (Piper crocatum) known as herbal antiseptic that contain many substances like essential oil, flavonoid, saponin, and tannin. The red betel leaves can be use to replace chemical antiseptic and more safe to use for teat dipping for dairy cow. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of teat dipping with red betel leaves decoction to decrease subclinical mastitis level and somatic cell based on CMT and SCC. The method in this research was experiment with Randomize Block Design with 3 treatments and 5 replications. The data analyzed with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), if there were significant effects it would be continue by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that teat dipping with red betel leaves decoction had a significant different (P<0.05) to decrease mastitis level. Teat dipping with red betel leaves decoction 20% concentration could decrease mastitis level up to 30%. Teat dipping with red betel leaves decoction had a significant difference (P<0.05) to decrease the amount of somatic cell too. Teat dipping with red betel leaves stew 20% concentration could decrease the amount of somatic cell up to 1.98% or 0.12CFU/ml. The conclusion that teat dipping with red betel leaves decoction 20% was the best concentration and gave the best results to decrease mastitis level and somatic cell.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Koperasi Peternakan Sapi Perah (KPSP) SetiaKawan Nongkojajar selama 2 bulan pada tanggal 24 Agustus – 24 Oktober2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Body ConditionScore (BSC) sapi perah terhadap kuantitas kolostrum dan kandungan SolidNon Fat ( SNF) pada kolostrum. Materi yang digunakan adalah 42 ekor sapiperah bunting umur 9 bulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian iniadalah metode survei dan observasi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secarapurposive sampling pada sapi perah tua bunting. Hasil persamaan regresidiperoleh dimana Y1 = 3,62 + 0,14X. Y1 adalah jumlah kolostrum dan Xadalah BCS pada saat pengamatan. Dan juga diperoleh persamaan regresisederhana dan korelasi dengan persamaan regresi Y1 = 11,06 + 2,92X, Y1adalah SNF dan X adalah BCS pada saat observasi. Persamaan ini digunakansebagai dasar untuk memperkirakan hubungan antara kuantitas kolostrumditinjau dari BCS pada sapi dengan koefisien korelasi (r) antara BCS dankuantitas kolostrum sebesar 0,042 yang berarti hubungan antara BCS dankuantitas berada pada kategori sangat rendah. Sedangkan hubungan BCSditinjau dari SNF juga ditemukan hubungan yang positif dengan koefisienkorelasi (r) antara BCS dan SNF sebesar 0,442, artinya hubungan antara BCSdan SNF termasuk dalam kategori sedang.Kata Kunci : BCS, Kolostrum, Produksi Kolostrum, Solid Non Fat AbstractThe study was conducted at the Setia Kawan Nongkojajar DairyFarm Cooperative (KPSP) for 2 months on August 24 – October 24,2021. The material usedwas 42 pregnant dairy cows aged 9 months. The method used in thisresearch is survey and observation method. Sampling was done bypurposive sampling on pregnant old dairy cows. The results of theregression equation are obtained where Y1 = 3.62 + 0.14X. Y1 is theamount of colostrum and X is BCS at the time of observation. And alsoobtained simple regression equation and correlation with regressionequation Y1 = 11.06 + 2.92X, Y1 is SNF and X is BCS at the time ofobservation. This equation is used as the basis for estimating therelationship between colostrum quantity in terms of BCS in cattle witha correlation coefficient (r) between BCS and colostrum quantity of0.042 which means the relationship between BCS and quantity is in thevery low category. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between BCS and body weight to milk production of Friesian Holstein crossbreed dairy cattle. The material used for this research were 45 dairy cattles that lactating period in 3,4, and 5. The study was conducted in KPSP setia kawan nongkojajar pasuruan on 28 August-30 October 2021. The method used in this research is direct survey to the farm. The data collection technique in this study was purposive sampling. The variables observed in this study were BCS, boby weight, and milk production. Data obtained were analyzed by used correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The linier regression equation between BCS and milk production shows Y= 12.178+2.899X with a correlation coefficient is 0.309 and for the coefficient of determination is 9.5%. The linier regression equation between body weight and milk production shows Y= -0.635+0.044X with a correlation coefficient is 0.488 and the coefficient of determination is 23.8%. The result of research indicate that there was a significant relationship between BCS and body weight to milk production.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui produksikolostrum pada sapi perah FH dengan periode laktasi yang berbeda.Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kasus di Koperasi PeternakanSapi Perah (KPSP) Setia Kawan, Nongkojajar, Kecamatan Tutur,Kabupaten Pasuruan, Provinsi Jawa Timur sebagai tempatpemeliharaan sapi perah FH laktasi. Materi yang digunakan dipenilitian adalah sapi perah FH laktasi sebanyak 37 ekor. Pengambilansampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan produksi kolostrum pada periode laktasi 2,3,4, dan 5masing-masing dalam satuan liter/ekor/hari yaitu 7.72 ± 2.64, 9.09 ±1.89, 10.80 ± 1.28, 9.04 ± 2.61 liter/ekor/hari Kesimpulan daripenelitian tren produksi kolostrum pada sapi perah FH meningkat dariperiode laktasi ke 2 sampai periode laktasi ke 4, setelahnya trenproduksi kolostrum mengalami penurunan.Kata Kunci : Kolostrum, Sapi perah, Produksi

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui kadar lemak kolostrum sapi FH pada umur kolostrum yang berbeda yang dipelihara secara intensif di Peternakan Rakyat Koperasi Peternakan Sapi Perah (KPSP) yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Tutur, Nongkojajar, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Provinsi Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Materi yang digunakana dalam penelitian ini adalah kolostrum dari induk 37 sapi perah FH yang laktasi, sampel yang diambil meliputi hari pemerahan ke 1, ke 2, ke 3 dan ke 4 dengan waktu pemerahan pagi dan sore. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kadar lemak kolostrum sapi perah FH pada periode laktasi 1,2,3 dan 4 hasil pemerahan pagi berkisar antara 6,49 - 8,56%, sedangkan rataan kadar lemak hasil pemerahann sore berkisar antara 6,43 – 9,35%. Hubungan antara hari pemerahan dengan kadar lemak  kolostrum pagi sapi perah dari persamaan regresi Y= 9,217 + (-0,719)X dan persamaan regresi Y= 10,287 + (-0,822)X pada sore hari yang artinya setiap peningkatan 1 hari pemerahan, maka nilai kadar lemak menurun sebesar 0,719 pada pagi hari dan nilai kadar lemak menurun sebesar 0,822 pada sore hari. Sedangkan nilai koefisien relasi (r) pagi diperoleh 0,267 dan nilai koefisien relasi (r) sore diperoleh 0.325, menunjukan adanya hubungan positif yang rendah antara hari pemerahan dengan kadar lemak kolostrum pada pagi dan sore hari. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) pada pagi hari sebesar 7,1% dan 10,6% pada sore hari, artinya hari pemerahan berpengaruh hanya 7,1% (pagi) dan 10,6% (sore) terhadap kadar lemak kolostrum serta 92,9% (pagi) dan 89,4 % (sore) ditentukan oleh faktor lain.   Abstract This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the colostrum fat content of FH cows at different ages of colostrum that were intensively reared at the Dairy Cattle Farming Cooperative People's Farm (KPSP) located in Tutur District, Nongkojajar, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. The material used in this study was colostrum from 37 lactating FH dairy cows. The samples taken included the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th day of milking with morning and afternoon milking. The research data was analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of the study showed that the average fat content of colostrum of FH dairy cows in the lactation period of 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the morning milking ranged from 6.49–8.56%, while the average fat content in the afternoon milking ranged from 6.43–9.35%. The relationship between the day of milking and the fat content of colostrum in the morning of dairy cows from the regression equation Y = 9,217 + (-0,719)X and the regression equation Y = 10,287 + (-0,822)X in the afternoon, which means that for every 1 day increase in milking, the fat content value decreased by 0.719 in the morning and the value of fat content decreased by 0.822 in the afternoon. The value of the correlation coefficient (r) in the morning was 0.267 and the value of the relation coefficient (r) in the afternoon was 0.325, indicating a low positive relationship between milking days and colostrum fat levels in the morning and evening. The value of the coefficient of determination (R2) in the morning is 7.1% and 10.6% in the afternoon, meaning that the day of milking only affects 7.1% (morning) and 10.6% (evening) of colostrum fat content and 92.9% (morning) and 89.4% (afternoon) were determined by other factors.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the dairy farming in Dairy Cattle Cooperation Setia Kawan Wonosari Village, Tutur District, Pasuruan Regancy. The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between colostrum age and lactation period with colostrum production on Friesian Holstein. The material used is 30 Friesian Holstein which are lactation, both the first lactation period to the third lactation period. The method used was the case study method and the data was collected data by direct observation of dairy cows. Data analyzed using regression analysis and correlation. The results show that the correlation between colostrum age and colostrum production has a regression the equation is Y = 9.8+0.75X, where r = 0.516 and R2 = 0.266 and the lactation period with colostrum production has a regression equation that is Y = 11.35+0.16X with r = 0.086 and R2 = 0.007. The average highest colostrum production in dairy cows was on the fourth day (12.61 ± 1.29 liters/head/day) and the highest colostrum production was in the third lactation (11.80 ± 1.68 liters/head/day). Based on these results it can be concluded that colostrum ages with colostrum production has a moderate positive correlation, while the lactation period with colostrum production has a very low positive correlation. Keywords : Lactation period, colostrum production, pregnant cow, friesian Holstein

Abstract

Colostrum is the secretion of the udder glands after the cow gives birth and is given to the calf for 3-5 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the lactation period and colostrum age on the colostrum protein content of FH dairy cows. This research was conducted at KPSP Setia Kawan, Pasuruan. The research was conducted in August-November 2022. The research materials were FH dairy cows with lactation periods 1,2,3, and cow colostrum which were analyzed with the Lactoscan Milk Analyzer. The research method uses case study method and purposive sampling. Research using simple linear regression analysis and correlation. The results of the regression equation study the relationship between the lactation period and colostrum protein content, namely Y =5.22+0.46X with a correlation value (r)=0.158 and a coefficient of determination (R2)=0.025. The results of the regression equation for the relationship between colostrum age and colosrum protein content are Y=10.79-1.55X with a correlation value (r)=0.88 and a coefficient of determination (R2)=0.77. The conclusion of the study is that there is a positive relationship between the lactation period and colostrum protein and there is a negative relationship between colostrum age and colostrum protein. Keywords : FH dairy cattle, colostrum, lactation period, colostrum protein.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between lactation period, BCS and chest circumference with milk production of Friesian Holstein dairy cattle. The material used 36 dairy cattles period 3, 4, and 5. This research has conducted in farm KPSP Setia Kawan, Nongkojajar, Pasuruan on 20 July - 20 October 2022. The method used in this research was case study. The data collection technique in this study was purposive sampling. The variables observed were period lactation, BCS, chest circumference and milk production. Data obtained were analyzed by using correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The result showing that the linier regression equation between lactation period and milk production shows Y= 43.82 – 4.72X1 with a correlation coefficient negative is 0.65 and for the coefficient of determination is 42.3%, the meaning that for every increase 1 time of the lactation period, milk production will decrease 4.72 liters. The linier regression equation between BCS and milk production shows Y= 4.06 + 8.35X2 with a correlation coefficient positive is 0.70 and the coefficient of determination is 49.7%, the meaning is BCS that for every increase 1 score of the BCS, milk production will incrase 8.35 liters. The linier regression equation between chest circumference with milk production shows Y= (-17.57) + 0.22X3 with a correlation coefficient positive is 0.52 and the coefficient of determination is 27.3%, the meaning that for every increase 1 cm of the chest circumference, milk production will decrease 0.22 liters. It can be concluded that the more highly lactation period, milk production will decrease. Then the more highly score BCS and chest circumference, milk production will following high to.
