Abstract

Palm flower is a plant that is widely distributed in the tropics. Originally from Madagascar, it was known as Madagascar periwinkle. The components of active compounds present in blood sites are phenolic acids, alkaloids, and flavonoids. Palm flower leaves contain a lot of flavonoid compounds that function as antioxidants, stimulate the production of nitrite oxidants (can dilate blood vessels), inhibit erythrocyte clumping, and can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. This study aims to observe the morphological characteristics and determine the content of phytochemical compounds in various varieties of palm flower (Catharanthus roseus) collection of the Labuhanbatu University experimental garden. The materials used in this study were 4 types of palm flower plant varieties collected by Labuhanbatu University. The method in this research is a survey with a qualitative approach to collect information related to the collected data. The results of observations of morphological characteristics were differences in stem color and flower color of palm flower and differences in flavonoids in each palm flower, and palm flower TW was palm flower which had the highest flavonoid content, namely 663.80. Keywords: Palm flower, morphology, flavonoids

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effect or effectiveness of the bridal tear plant (antigonon leptopus) which was dosed and onion extract (allium cepa) in the soaking process. This research was conducted in the village III Kampung Jawa Pulo Jantan, NA. IX-X sub-district, North Labuhanbatu Utara. This research was conducted from April to June 2021. The design used in the study was a randomized block design (RAK) which involves two (2) factors, including the first factor dosage composition and immersion time (K) with 4 treatments, namely: K0 = Kontrol; K1 = 5 ml; K2 = 10 ml; K3 = 15 ml. Second factor immersion time (L) with 3 treatments, namely: L1 = 8 hours; L2 = 16 hours; L3 = 24 hours. Parameters observed were rod length (cm), number of leaves (sheet), leaf width (cm), stem diameter (mm). As for the result obtained from this study, the highest average was found in the K3L1 treatment, namely a dose of 15 ml with an immersion time 8 hours and the lowest was found in the K0L1 treatment (without treatment). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of chicken manure and urea fertilizer on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) using banana stems. Mustard greens are one of the vegetables that contain various kinds of vitamins and minerals that are good for health. The demand for mustard plants increases along with the increase in population and nutritional needs. Design This experimental research was conducted by using a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with a test pattern consisting of 2 factorials. Factorial I was a type of chicken manure with 2 replications, namely the first dose of 10 grams / hole and the second dose of 20 grams / hole. The second factor was urea fertilizer with 2 replications, namely the first dose of 5 grams / hole and the second dose of 10 grams / banana stem. The data obtained were analyzed by Microsoft Excel. Parameters include: number of leaves, leaf height, leaf area, wet weight of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The results of the research that have been done show that the optimal fertilizer used is chicken manure with a dose of 20 grams / hole. Meanwhile, the optimal dose of urea is used, which is 10 grams / hole. Keywords: Chicken Manure, Urea Fertilizer, Mustard

Abstract

Sticky corn varieties (waxy corn) are local varieties of corn. Pulut corn is developed in several areas of South Sulawesi. It has the advantage that it tastes delicious and savory so it can be used as a food ingredient. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of glutinous corn ( Zea mays ceratina L.) from different application times. This research was conducted in an experimental field in Tebing Linggahara Village, Bilahbarat District, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted from April to June 2021. The design used in this study was a Non-Faculty Randomized Block Design (RAK).torial with 6 levels of treatment. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that: treatment time of NPK Mutiara fertilizer application did not significantly affect plant height and number of leaves. And gave a significant effect on the age of flowering, weight of the cob and the number of rows/seeds. Keywords: NPK Mutiara , growth, production, glutinous corn

Abstract

Ottochloa nodosa is a type of weed that is detrimental to cultivated crops. One of the most commonly used chemical weed controls is the potassium glyphosate herbicide. This study was compiled using a random group design (RAK) with 3 levels and each treatment is repeated 6 times, thus becoming 18 plots of treatment. The treatments tested were: (P1) potassium glyphosate + solvent water pH 4, (P2) potassium glyphosate + solvent water pH 6, and (P3) potassium glyphosate + solvent water pH 8. The results showed that the pH of the water solvent herbicide Potassium Glyphosate had an effect on wet weight and dry weight of the header. Where there is the lowest header dry weight (104.67 grams) at pH use 6 and the largest header dry weight (116.80 grams) at pH use 8. Keywords : Ottochloa nodosa, Potassium Glyphose, pH water solvent
