Abstract

Stroke is a big problem for the elderly in low-income countries (developing countries) than in high-income countries (developed countries). The Range of Motion Active stroke intervention is one of the non-pharmacological therapy efforts, exercises that are carried out to maintain or improve the level of perfection and the ability to move joints normally and completely to increase muscle mass and muscle tone. This study aims to identify the effect of providing Active Range of Motion exercise therapy in nursing services and care for the elderly with stroke problems. This type of research is a case study design research, which is a form of research (inquiry) or case studies and interventions about a problem that has a specificity (particularity). The results showed that the provision of Active Range of Motion was scored with the Pretest and Posttest scores. There is a change in the value of muscle strength in elderly stroke after being given Active Range of Motion exercise from the value of the muscle strength scale 2 to 3, 3 to 4, and 4 to 5. with data on the characteristics of stroke patients, namely age, gender and activities such as rarely exercising and not exercising repeatedly, this shows that the more frequent Active Range of Motion exercises can affect the assessment of muscle strength in stroke patients.

Abstract

Hypertension in the elderly is a non-communicable disease that is one of the main causes of premature death in the world which results in complications in the elderly due to physical changes. This study aims to identify lowering blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension. This research method uses a case study design and consists of four respondents. Data collection was carried out in the Duri Kepa Community Health Center Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta on 26-29 May 2021. The results of the research carried out were a significant decrease on the 3rd and 4th days from Stage II (moderate) to Stage I (mild). ) and from Stage III (severe) to Stage II (moderate). Conclusions from this research ApplicationSlow Deep Breathing therapy reduces blood pressure significantly, as evidenced by data on the characteristics of elderly people with hypertension.

Abstract

Pulmonary Tuberculosis is one of the problems that cause the biggest death after cardiovascular disease and respiratory disease number one from group one of the infectious disease group which is still an unresolved problem in the world, even in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the effect of knowledge and attitudes on the prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis transmission in the family. The method used is Case Study Design starting from the data collection stage, namely Case Study is a form of research from a problem that has specific characteristics with individual, family, or group targets, even the wider community. The results showed that after giving health education, there was an increase in the level of knowledge and attitude of prevention efforts in the Pretest and Posttest scores. The level of family knowledge is good at 75%, while 25% is still vulnerable to lack of knowledge. Then for the attitude of prevention efforts obtained 100% data in good prevention efforts. In conclusion, the better the level of knowledge, the better the prevention of Tuberculosis in the family of the Community Health Center in Slipi Village.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a serious chronic disease that occurs either when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that can increase the threat of health and death of each individual quickly and has great challenges to achieve success in management. This study aims to identify the role of the family in treating Diabetes Mellitus. This research method uses a case study design and consists of four respondents. Data collection was carried out in the Kelurahan Duri Kepa Health Center, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta on 27-31 May 2021 with instruments in the form of interview guidelines, observation guidelines, notebooks, and tools to measure blood sugar levels in patients. The results showed that the application of the intervention of the family role in 4 respondents after being given education and family support the value of the family role was in the good category of 100%. The conclusion in this study the role of the family has shown positive results that can affect the care of patients with diabetes mellitus.
