Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research is to obtain an interactive e-module learning media oriented to the problem-solving skills of biodiversity materials that are valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is 4D model development research (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results found that the validity test of the assessment of material expert validators, media experts, and teachers was sequentially scored 95.10 percent, 85.83 percent, and 94.17 percent (very good). The practicality test for the implementation of learning in small groups and large group trials was scored 94.12 percent, student activity was sequentially scored 85 percent and 87.62 percent, and student responses were sequentially scored 85 percent and 87.9 percent (all of these results belonged to the category of very practical). The effectiveness test of the N Gain value in small group trials (0.64 quite effective) and large groups (0.70 effective). In conclusion, the module developed is valid, practical, and effective in Biology learning process at SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo. Keywords: e-module, problem solving skill, research and development. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian yaitu memperoleh media pembelajaran e-modul interaktif berorientasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi keanekaragaman hayati yang berkriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Hasilnya ditemukan bahwa uji validitas dari penilaian validator ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru secara urut mendapat skor 95.10 persen, 85.83 persen, dan 94.17 persen (sangat baik). Uji kepraktisan untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar masing-masing mendapat skor 94.12 persen, aktivitas siswa secara urut mendapat skor 85 persen, dan 87.62 persen, serta respon siswa secara urut mendapat skor 85 persen, dan 87.9 persen(semua hasil tersebut termasuk kategori sangat praktis). Uji efektivitas dari nilai N Gain pada uji coba kelompok kecil (0.64 cukup efektif) dan kelompok besar (0.70 efektif). Kesimpulannya bahwa e modul yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi di SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo.Kata kunci: e modul, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, penelitian pengembangan. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp207-221

Abstract

Implementasi program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengolahan jagung melalui kegiatan KKN PPM tahun 2019 dilaksanakan di desa Ilohungayo. Adapun tujuan dari program ini adalah menyerap tenaga kerja, menambah pendapatan masyarakat melalui Usaha Kecil Menengah, meningkatkan kreativitas dan inovasi lokal yang dapat dijadikan produk khas daerah Gorontalo dan meningkatkan nilai jual komoditas Jagung di Desa Ilohungayo, Kecamatan Batudaa Kabupaten Gorontalo. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan yaitu melalui pengolahan bahan mentah jagung menjadi produk yang lezat, bergizi dan disukai serta bisa menjadi produk khas daerah yang dapat bersaing dengan daerah lain. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Program ini bekerja sama dengan KUBE Melati Desa Ilohungayo sebagai mitra dalam pusat pengolahan jagung menjadi stik jagung dan Plaza Amanda Jaya Gorontalo sebagai mitra dalam proses pemasaran produk cemilan. Alur kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan berupa observasi ke dinas  instansi terkait dan pembekalan mahasiswa KKN-PPM. Kemudian tahap pelaksanaan, yaitu penyuluhan dan pelatihan pada masyarakat di 4 dusun yakni Dusun Ilito, Ilito Barat, Hungayo, Hungayo Timur, dan Hungayo Selatan  yang berpusat di Desa Ilohungayo. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan, Produk, Jagung.  Abstract The Implementation of a community service program through the processing of corn through the community service program 2019 is conducted at Ilohungayo Village. This program aims to absorb labors, add community income through small and medium enterprises, improve creativity and local innovation that can be the typical products from Gorontalo and increase the selling value of corn commodities at Ilohungayo Village, Batudaa Sub-district, Gorontalo District. The solution that can be done is through the processing of the raw corn into the delicious, nutritious and preferredproduct as well as to be the typical local product that can compete with products from other areas. The methods used in this program are counseling and training. This program cooperates with Melati joint venture at Ilohungayo village as a partner in the center of corn processing into corn stick as well as Plaza Amanda Jaya Gorontalo as a partner in the marketing process of the snack products. The flow of activities includes a preparation phase in the form of observation to the related institutions and students’ Community Service Program briefing. The next phase is implementation which is counseling and training to the community at 4 orchards; Ilito Orchard, Ilito Barat, Hungayo, Hungayo Timur, and Hungayo Selatan which centered on Ilohungayo Village. Abstract

The research was aimed at explaining the morphometric ratio of fiddler crab (Uca sp.) based on the difference among the population in Tanjung Panjang Nature Preserve. The technique of data collection was exploration with quantitative descriptive approach. The data analysis test applied average test and T- test. Findings revealed that the variation of the characteristics of morphometric of the two population was different on the characteristics of major claws propondus (2,55±0,16 mm) with the highest variation was found in station II (0,75±0,09 mm). The morphometric characteristic variations which were significantly different between the two population were carapace, major claws, and mouth. The variations among the population were clearly, seen through carapace posterior width, major claws propondus, major claws dactylus major claws and mouth length.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat degradasi kawasan hutan mangrove di Desa Bajo Kecamatan Tilamuta Kabupaten Boalemo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode transek garis. Transek garis dibuat tegak lurus garis pantai dengan panjang transek garis 100 m yang dibagi menjadi 3 petak/kuadran dengan ukuran petak masing-masing 20 x 20 meter untuk kelompok pohon, 10 x 10 meter untuk kelompok pancang dan 5 x 5 untuk kelompok pohon. bibit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengukuran analisis struktur vegetasi tipe mangrove ditemukan tujuh spesies tumbuhan mangrove di Desa Bajo, Kecamatan Tilamuta, Kabupaten Boalemo, yaitu Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Ceriops decandra, Ceriops tegal, Bruguiera gymnorizha, Avicennia alba. , dan Sonneratia alba. Sedangkan hasil analisis kerusakan ditemukan bahwa kondisi kawasan hutan mangrove di Desa Bajo, Boalemo termasuk dalam kategori rusak (jarang) karena kerapatan mangrove 1000 ind/ha dengan jumlah pohon sebanyak 112 pohon/ha. Selain itu, berdasarkan tingkat kekritisan lahan mangrove dan metode formula tidak termasuk dalam kategori rusak sedang (54,45).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using smartphone-based learning media on ecosystem materials in developing students' environmental care attitudes. This study aims to develop textbooks using the value of the structure of mangrove vegetation and the value of carbon uptake. The value of the mangrove vegetation structure value and the value of carbon uptake have been obtained from the results of previous studies conducted in the mangrove area of ​​Tabongo Village, Dulupi District, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province. In this study focused on the development of coastal ecology textbooks based on the value of the mangrove vegetation structure and its carbon absorption value. The method used is the 4-D model (four D) which includes the defining stage, the planning stage (design), the development stage (develop) and the dissemination stage. The dissemination stage is carried out by implementing textbooks that have been developed in coastal ecology lectures. The data was collected using a validation sheet, which includes material validation, design validation, and legibility testing involving biology students. The data obtained were analyzed using the formula for the average validation score, with the eligibility criteria, namely very feasible (3.26 - 4.00), feasible (2.51 - 2.25), quite feasible (1.76 - 2.50), less feasible (1.00 - 1.75). The research results obtained that, the material expert's assessment of all aspects of assessment for textbook validation is 93.75% which means that it has very good quality, because it is in the range of 81% to 100%, the design expert's assessment of all aspects of the assessment for textbook design validation is 91.67 % which means that the design quality is very good, because it is in the range of 81% to 100%, the student response to the quality aspects of textbooks is at a percentage of 94%, meaning this book is included in the very good category because it is in the range of 81 to 100%. Thus, the textbook produced in this study can be used as a reference in coastal ecology courses. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar dengan menggunakan materi nilai struktur vegetasi mangrove dan nilai serapan karbon. Nilai nilai struktur vegetasi mangrove dan nilai serapan karbon telah diperoleh dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan di kawasan mangrove desa Tabongo Kecamatan Dulupi Kabupaten Boalemo, Provinsi Gorontalo. Dalam penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengembangan buku ajar ekologi pesisir yang berbasis pada nilai struktur vegetasi mangrove dan nilai serapan karbonnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah model 4-D (four D) yang meliputi tahapan pendefinisian (define), tahapan perencanaan (design), tahapan pengembangan (develop) dan tahapan penyebaran (disseminate). Untuk tahapan penyebarluasan dilakukan dengan mengimlementasikan buku ajar yang telah dikembangkan pada kegiatan perkuliahan ekologi pesisir. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar validasi, yang meliputi validasi materi, validasi desain, dan uji keterbacaan yang melibatkan mahasiswa biologi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus rata-rata skor validasi, dengan kriteria kelayakan yakni sangat layak (3,26 – 4,00),  layak (2.51 – 2.25), cukup layak (1,76 – 2,50),  kurang layak (1,00 – 1,75). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa, penilaian ahli materi dari keseluruhan aspek penilaian untuk validasi buku ajar adalah 93.75 % yang berarti memiliki kualitas sangat baik, karena berada pada rentang 81% sampai 100%, penilaian ahli desain keselurah aspek penilaian untuk validasi desain buku ajar adalah 91.67 % yang berarti memiliki kualitas desain sangat baik, karena berada pada rentang 81% sampai 100%, respon mahasiswa untuk aspek kualitas buku ajar berada pada persentase 94 % artinya buku ini termasuk pada kategori sangat baik karena berada pada rentang 81 sampai 100%. Dengan demikian buku ajar yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu referensi dalam mata kuliah ekologi pesisir

Abstract

Bajo ethnicity is one of the ethnic groups in Gorontalo province which is known as a community that is very thick with coastal areas. This is because of the existence of this ethnic village which is above the coastal waters of the bay tomini and is about 600 meters from land. Bajo ethnicity has a wealth of local knowledge related to the utilization of medicinal plants. That knowledge is a legacy passed down over a long period of time. This study aims to explore plants that are used as medicine and a form of local knowledge in the Bajo Ethnic community. This study was conducted in Torosiaje Village, Popayato District, Pohuwato Regency within two months. The study method used is descriptive qualitative. Data retrieval techniques were conducted with in-depth interviews on 13 traditional sculptors (hattra) of bajo ethnic to explore medicinal plants and local knowledge in traditional practice. This study found 41 types of medicinal plants, with parts of plants used, namely leaves, flowers, fruit, fruit peels, stems, and roots. Found also 53 types of traditional herbs. In terms of local knowledge, found 19 forms of local knowledge of bajo ethnicity in utilizing medicinal plants as well as with medicinal rituals that use medicinal plants. Bajo ethnicity is classified as an ethnicity that still holds values and norms derived from ancestors and has local knowledge in utilizing surrounding plants for treatment.

Abstract

The research aims to develop student books based on the potential of coastal areas to improve students' pro-environmental character. Research and development from Sugiyono was used to develop student book. as many as 10 students participated in the product trial. Two experts and one practitioner validated using a validation sheet. Measurement of pro-environmental character using pro-environmental character test. Analysis of pro-environmental characters using n-gain. The results showed that the student's book met the valid criteria (88.77%), increased the pro-environmental character of students at the medium - high level (0.33 - 0.74), and received a very good response (88% - 100%) from the students. This research concludes that the student's book based on coastal natural resources meets the valid criteria, improves the character of the environmental profile and gets a very good response. Further research to test the effectiveness needs to be done through use trials.

Abstract

This research was conducted to understand the value of conservation character in students by utilizing local resources in the coastal areas of Gorontalo Province. The research design used is the application of one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was performed using cluster sampling techniques with research subjects totaling 160 students spread across four elementary schools in the coastal areas of Gorontalo Province. Data analysis was performed using N-Gain and Anava 2 x 2 test to see differences in learning outcomes in the form of moral knowledge and moral goodness of conservation at each grade level and examine the difference in the total score of the pretest and the total score of the posttest. The results showed that the N-Gain value for knowledge about coastal natural resources was 0.74, moral conservation knowledge was 0.76, and moral goodness conservation was 0.84. Anava test results showed the level of class and type of test differed significantly on the character values of students with sig <0.05 (0.000 <0.05). That is, there are differences in the value of student conservation characters based on grade levels. Significantly the character value of grade 3 and grade 4 students shows the highest value compared to the grade value of grade 5 and grade 6 students. The application of science learning tools with conservation characteristics utilizing the local potential of natural resources in elementary school students in coastal areas can understand the character conservation of students in coastal areas.

Abstract

A storybook is a book that contains stories about a situation or phenomenon. These circumstances or phenomena can be fact or fiction. In learning activities in elementary school story books can be used as a medium of learning for students. One of storybook utilization is in science learning. Storybooks can help the students at elementary school in learning activities as well as in school. In Science learning there is material that is absolutely contextually motivated, one of which is about the ecosystem. Ecosystem material can be the content of a story in a storybook for elementary students. The quality of a storybook that is used as a medium of learning in elementary school is determined by its validities. The aims of this study to describe the validity of learning media. The learning media is storybooks for grade V at elementary school students, in material of science especially. The subject in the study is a storybook that has been developed as a products in previous study.  This study is qualitative research with data analysis used is quantitative descriptive. Data collection using storybook learning media validation sheets. The results of this study that the analysis of Storybook Learning Media Products that have been validated has a validation score > 75% with valid criteria It means that the storybook products that have been produced can be utilized as a learning medium in ecosystem materials in grade V elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this program to provide knowledge and skills to the SP3 Saritani community in utilizing agricultural waste of corn cob as the basic ingredients of charcoal briquettes as an alternative energy. External targets of this program include opportunities for students to learn with the community about village development (learning society). To implementation in this activity used Focus group discussion (FGD) between students and partner groups. Direct observation and excavations together with partners and document the potential resources that will be developed with the assisted community. Designing scenarios for the implementation of the program, conducting training and mentoring for the processing of agricultural waste of corn cobs for raw materials of charcoal briquette production as an alternative energy potential. The result obtained is the existence of charcoal briquette products made from corn waste. Charcoal briquettes produced have physical characteristics that are ideal enough as an alternative fuel. The physical shape of charcoal briquettes in the form of cylinders with a height of about 3 cm and a diameter of about 5 cm and hard enough with a type of starch adhesive with a percentage of 5%, 10% and 15% respectively. The test results concluded that the process of ignition of briquettes into coals that are ready for use takes only one minute.  The impact obtained is the value of products produced to provide economic independence to the SP3 Saritani community. This devotional activity has also supported the application of innovations and technologies that are directly useful in achieving SDGs on the 7th goals (clean and renewable energy villages) and the 15th goals (villages care about the land environment).
