Abstract

Ruang Baca Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya yang merupakan salah satu bentuk dari perpustakaan perguruan tinggi, pengunjung Ruang Baca tersebut rata-rata adalah 70 mahasiswa perhari dan kebanyakan dari pengunjung adalah mahasiswa semester akhir. Sedangkan Fakultas Ilmu Komputer  memiliki 5000 mahasiswa. Ruang Baca Filkom belum pernah melakukan kegiatan promosi baik secara online maupun offline. Pada penerapan promosi Ruang Baca FILKOM menggunakan media sosial Instagram dilakukan dalam 3 tahapan siklus setiap minggunya, dalam 1 siklus penulis melakukan promosi sebanyak 811 kali posting diakun Instagram. Pada penelitian ini ditetapkan sebuah target sebagai tolak ukur tingkat keberhasilan dari kegiatan promosi Ruang Baca FILKOM melalui instagram adalah sebagai berikut, besaran target ditentukan berdasarkan rata-rata pada postingan sebelumnya. Dengan dilakukannya promosi tersebut seluruh siklus telah melampaui angka yang telah ditargetkan pada rancangan target capaian.

Abstract

Informational books are published to fulfill children’s needs. The presence of informational books can transfer knowledge that children want to know related to science and all things which exist and happen around them. As a means of communication, books have big influence in determining attitude and behavior. Thus, it is important to have study on how far informational books attraction influences students’ reading attitude and behavior. In order to get ordinal-scale data, this study applies Likert scale measurement and correlational method by using Spearman Rank in SPSS program. The data were collected through questionnaire distributed to 60 respondents, interview, observation and review of related literature. Abstract

Imbalance collection with the number of 21 155 copies and limited facilities and infrastructure which is also owned also affect the process of delivering information to the public especially remote rural communities that exist in the area of Malang. Library cooperation conducted Public Library Malang with village library through the empowerment and development activities is to go through three stages: first planning activities undertaken are filling the questionnaire and screening in order to determine the elected village library. Both actuating, ie rotating book lending activities by Public Library of Malang with the number of 100 copies borrowing library materials that his later be borrowed right to elect the village library. Third monitoring and evaluation, namely monitoring and evaluation activities. Conclusion Taman Baca Masyarakat Pondok Sinau which is a sample of cooperative activities libraries have a total collection of 475 copies with the presentation of a collection of general knowledge is more dominant, with lending activities book innings by the Public Library of Malang with the number of 100 copies is expected to support the collection, complements the percentage of collection and update the information on the TBM to assist communities in meeting the need for information. Suggestions for further activities are still carrying out accompaniment library cooperation activities with the intention that the library established cooperation capable of running in accordance with the purpose of library cooperation, and to evaluate how much of this cooperation used by the community.

Abstract

The Promotional and User Education activities are methods which have been implemented in library context. These methods can be applied by using a video. The video that will be shared on social media is dedicated to all users of Library of Ma Chung University.The media that have been selected to share this video are Youtube and Gmail which is connected to all of social media to spread the video to all users of Library of Ma Chung University. This video explains how to use sphisticated facility in this digital era which is supported with the incredilble information development. The Utilization of this online video can increase the number of guests in library and make the facilites usage more effective so the library can operate well based on its function.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the external factors in the use of electronic journals at library of Brawijaya University. This study implements a quantitative approach and the method used is descriptive method. The data collection was done through observation and questionnaire distribution. Observation was done to get information about digital service activities. Then questionnaires were distributed to the users by applying random sampling technique and the result was made in the form of coding book. Next, interview was done to measure users’ satisfaction in using the service at the library. The findings show that users have enough interest and motivation in the use of electronic journal collections with a percentage of 64.21%. Additionally, in terms of the relevance of the work, 75% respondents state that the electronic journal collection is highly relevant as a source of learning and working for the users.
