Abstract

Usaha pelestarian dan perbaikan lingkungan saat ini telah sampai pada pembuatan model matematika. Model matematikan digunakan untuk membantu penyelesaian masalah secara lebih jelas adakah hubungn gungsional, terutama dihubungkan dengan analisis kuantitatif, yang terdapat pada faktor-faktor dalam masalah tersebut.

Abstract

Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Indonesia No.20 tahun 2003 pasal 35 menyatakan bahwa kompetensi lulusan harus ditingkatkan secara berencana dan berkala. Dalam rangka peningkatan tersebut perlu diketahui kompetensi lulusan untuk program perbaikan secara menyeluruh. Para lulusan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Teachers College Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pelita Harapan tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia baik di sekolah-sekolah yang berada di dalam maupun di luar Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan. Semasa kuliah, mereka telah dibekali dengan berbagai kemampuan untuk mendukung profesionalisme mereka sebagai guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak guru-guru lulusan FIP Teachers College Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika UPH bagi sekolah-sekolah tempat mereka mengajar, sebagai bahan masukan untuk perbaikan kedepan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei. Subjek penelitian ini adalah para kepala sekolah, CC/TT dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan evaluasi bagi usaha peningkatan kompetensi lulusan FIP Teachers College Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika UPH. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa secara umum alumni  pendidikan matematika Teacher College  berdasarkan pengguna lulusan sudah mencapai ke empat kompetensi berdasarkan graduate profile Teacher College, antara lain: Guru bidang studi matematika Kristen, Guru bidang studi matematika dengan standar internasional, Seorang Kristen yang dewasa, Seorang anggota komunitas yang signifikan, namun ada beberapa aspek didalamnya yang perlu ditingkatkan dan diperbaiki.

Abstract

The purpose of education is to develop the potential of students to become human beings who believe and fear God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become democratic and responsible citizens. But in practice, much education separates science and faith in God. Christian education allows students to get to know God more and develops the potential of each student according to God's truth and purpose. Mathematics learning should be a tool to bring students to see and admire God as the great Creator. Investigation and discovery in learning mathematics should acknowledge some of God's attributes and allow students to admire the beauty of mathematics and to praise God.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Tujuan pendidikan adalah untuk mengembangkan potensi peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, sehat, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, mandiri, dan menjadi warga negara yang demokratis serta bertanggung jawab. Namun pada pelaksanaannya, banyak pendidikan memisahkan ilmu pengetahuan dan iman kepada Tuhan. Pendidikan Kristen membawa siswa untuk semakin mengenal Tuhan, mengembangkan potensi setiap peserta didik sesuai dengan kebenaran dan maksud Tuhan. Pembelajaran matematika seharusnya menjadi alat untuk membawa siswa semakin melihat dan mengagumi Allah sebagai Pencipta yang agung. Melalui investigasi dan penemuan dalam belajar matematika seharusnya menjadi pengakuan dari beberapa atribut Allah yang membawa siswa untuk mengagumi keindahan matematika dan membawa siswa untuk memuji Tuhan.

Abstract

Mathematics becomes one of many subjects which shows low student engagement. This paper aims to understand students’ attitudes toward school and mathematics, the impact of student behavioral engagement, influential factors, obstacles in promoting student behavioral engagement, and how to promote student behavioral engagement. Students’ interests of school decrease in high school. Behavioral engagement impacts academic achievement, meaning of learning, and self-esteem. Influential factors of student behavioral engagement are motivation, the role of parents and teachers, and peer support. Obstacles in promoting student behavioral engagement are building intrinsic motivation, teachers’ beliefs about student behavioral engagement, and parental styles. Some ways to promote student behavioral engagement are using various teaching method, keeping optimal learning environment, and focusing on peer. Conclusion and suggestion emphasize on the role of teachers in their authority in the class and cooperate with parents.

Abstract

As an educational institution that teaches Christian values, Christian schools can play a role in building the character of the nation through education and science in accordance with Christian values. For those role it is necessary for the schools to employ committed human resources. Most of previously done research on work engagement involved factors of leadership style and job satisfaction, yet, very few included organizational culture. This research aimed to determine the effect of servant leadership, organizational culture and job satisfaction on work engagement. The research subjects were 63 teachers at junior high and senior high Christian schools located in West Jakarta. The research design used the path analysis through PLS-SEM method. The results showed that the servant leadership and organizational culture have a positive effect on job satisfaction and work engagement, but lacking evidence to prove the job satisfaction effects the work engagement. Therefore, to improve the teachers’ work engagement, one need to pay attention on two key factors: the leadership style that serves from the principal and conducive organizational culture.

Abstract

Servant leader leading by not pursuing personal interest but striving to do the best for the organization and the people they lead. Servant leader can improve job satisfaction and trust of the people they lead. A good organizational climate also can triggers job satisfaction and organizational trust of the member towards the organization. This research was conducted with the aim to know the positive effect of servant leadership, organizational climate, and job satisfaction on organizational trust of the teacher in Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug. This study uses quantitative approach with the subject of research amounted to 50 respondents. Path analysis and descriptive statistic were used to analyze the data collected. Result shows that (1) servant leadership has positive effect on job satisfaction; (2) organizational climate has positive effect on job satisfaction; (3) servant leadership has positive effect on organizational trust; (4) organizational climate has positive effect on organizational trust; and (5) job satisfaction has positive effect on organizational trust.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Seorang pemimpin pelayan menjalankan kepemimpinan dengan tidak mengejar kepentingan pribadi tetapi berusaha untuk mengupayakan yang terbaik bagi kemajuan organisasi dan orang-orang yang dipimpinnya. Kepemimpinan pelayan dapat mendorong kepuasan dan kepercayaan orang yang dipimpinnya. Selain itu, iklim organisasi yang baik juga turut memicu kepuasan dan kepercayaan anggota terhadap organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh servant leadership, iklim organisasi, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kepercayaan organisasi guru di Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian sejumlah 50 responden. Metode pengolahan data menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis) dan metode statistik deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) servant leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja; (2) iklim organisasi berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja; (3) servant leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan organisasi; (4) iklim organisasi berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan organisasi; dan (5) kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan organisasi.

Abstract

Learning achievement is influenced by many factors, such as teaching methods, the means and facilities available, the environment and student motivation to learn. One of the problems found in the school was weak student motivation for learning. Which in the end has an impact on the perception of students in achieving good results. The purpose of this research is to know if there is any correlation between the students’ learning motivation and students’ perception of learning achievement and what is the correlation of the students’ learning motivation and students’ perception of learning achievement. This research used a quantitative approach with a sample size of 30 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The validity of this instrument construction was obtained from three expert judgments. The empirical validity of this instrument was calculated by the formula of Rank Spearman. The variables concerning student learning motivation consisted of 18 items and the variables indicating student perception of learning achievement consisted of 8 items. Reliability is measured with Cronbach Alpha. The Alpha value obtained for the variables of student learning motivation was 0.865 and the Alpha value of the variable students’ perception of learning achievement is 0.781. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation (Rho-Spearman) and significance test connection with the distribution of t test at a significance level of 5%. The results of this research showed a significant positive correlation between students’ learning motivation and student perception of learning achievement (r = 0.612, sig= 0,000. That means that the higher the student learning motivation the stronger the student perception of learning achievement.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Prestasi belajar dipengaruhi banyak faktor, misalnya metode guru dalam mengajar, sarana dan fasilitas yang tersedia, lingkungan dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Salah satu masalah yang ditemukan di sekolah adalah lemahnya motivasi belajar yang dimiliki siswa yang akhirnya berdampak kepada persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan motivasi belajar siswa dengan persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi  dan bagaimanakah hubungan motivasi belajar siswa dengan persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Validitas konstruksi instrumen diperoleh dari 3 expert judgment (ahli). Validitas empirik instrumen dihitung dengan rumus Rank Spearman, variabel motivasi belajar siswa terdiri dari 18 item dan variabel persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi terdiri dari 8 item. Reliabilitas diukur dengan Alpha Cronbach, diperoleh nilai Alpha variabel  motivasi belajar siswa adalah 0,865 dan nilai Alpha variabel persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi adalah 0,781. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi peringkat spearman (Rho-Spearman) dan uji signifikansi hubungan dengan uji distribusi t pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi (r = 0,612, sig = 0,000. Artinya semakin baik atau tinggi motivasi belajar siswa maka akan semakin besar dan kuat juga persepsi siswa untuk meraih prestasi.

Abstract

This study aimed to measure the effect of transformational leadership and readiness for change on employee performance of the employee of a chemical industry. In this study, readiness for change is mediating variable. Data was collected from 220 returned questionnaire of samples taken by random sampling. Data was analysed using SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study showed that transformational leadership had a significant effect on readiness for change, transformational leadership and readiness for change have a significant effect on the employee performance, readiness for change have a positive and significant effect on the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. Readiness for change functioned as a partial mediator. This new research proposed a model for managing employee performance among the employee of the chemical industry in Indonesia through developing transformational leadership practice with readiness for change as a mediator. This research could pave the way to improve employee readiness in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

- This study aimed to measure the effect of work-family conflict on job satisfaction through organizational commitment (affective, continuence, normative) as mediation. The data collection was done by simple random sampling to 251 population of woman employee in an automotive industry in Tangerang. The returned and valid questionnaire results were 170 samples. Data processing was used SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study concluded that work-family conflict have not significant effect on job satisfaction, work-family conflict have significant effect on organizational commitment (affective, continuence, normative), and organizational commitment (continuence and normative) have mediating effect on relationship between work-family conflict and job satisfaction, except affective commitment have not significant effect on job satisfaction. This new research proposed a model for building job satisfaction among women employee of automotive industry in Tangerang through enhancing organizational commitment and by manage the work-family conflict. This research could pave the way to improve woman employee readiness in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0.
