Abstract

This study is aimed at verifying the finding of a study on what learning strategies applied by the students in writing text and the impact of learning strategies toward the students’ writing score. This is a qualitative descriptive study, and it is conducted at Communication Science Department of the Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. The instruments used to collect the data were observation, documentations, and questionnaire. After analyzing the data, it is found that the learning strategies used by the students in writing English text are metacognitive strategies, compensation strategies, cognitive strategies, affective strategies, memory strategies, and social strategies. The students use learning strategies in moderate level which means they sometimes use these learning strategies. Moreover, learning strategies influence the students’ writing score; the students who get good score use metacognitive strategies and the students who get fair score use affective strategies.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memverifikasi hasil penelitian tentang bagaimana gender mempengaruhi strategi belajar pada program Public Speaking. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan dilakukan di Program Study Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan kuisener. Setelah menganalisa data, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi belajar yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam program public speaking adalah strategi memori, strategi kognitif, strategi kompensasi, strategi metakognitif, strategi afektif, dan strategi sosial. Siswa putra maupun siswa putri menggunakan strategi yang sama dalam pembelajaran public speaking. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gender tidak mempengaruhi strategi belajar dalam program public speaking.Abstract

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine whether there are differences impacts and perception on the construction dams in the Ngindeng Village, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency and in Karanggede Village, Arjosari District, Pacitan Regenc. The dam construction sites are the location where they live before receiving relocation or compensation in the form of money. In addition, the researchers also looked for differences or similarities related to the socio-economic impacts for community in two different locations. This study used quantitative research methods. The total sample population taken in this study was 29 respondents from each place with a total sample of 58 respondents. Based on research conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that there are differences in perceptions between the people of Ngindeng Village and Karanggede Village, where in the instrument, Ho's perception was accepted and Ha was rejected. While indicators of the impact of development based on socio-economic instruments have the same answer between the people of Ngindeng Village and the people of Karanggede Village, where Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of distance teaching carried out by teachers/lecturers during the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a library research method which is carried out by reading, studying, and also recording all information and literature related to the topic of discussion. The results show that the majority of teachers and lecturers use the Google Classroom and WhatsApp platforms for distance teaching. The use of these applications requires teachers/lecturers to prepare a practical and interesting learning framework for students. Remote teaching using Google classroom and Whats App is very effective and flexible. However, several obstacles were encountered when conducting distance teaching, including additional costs for providing internet quota, unstable networks that hindered the learning process, teachers/lecturers could not monitor students directly, resulting in a lack of interaction between teachers/lecturers and students, and online learning. only effective for theoretical subjects and very ineffective for practical subjects.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) had an impact on various fields, especially in education. The existence of this pandemic requires everyone to not be able to carry out his normal activities as before. In the education field, the teaching-learning process cannot be done directly in the classroom. Therefore, the teaching process is inverted by distance teaching (online). Distance teaching is done to reduce the spread of COVID-19 among students and the community. This research is library research that aims to explain creativity in the application of distance teaching. This research is library research conducted by reading and recording various literature or reading materials that are in accordance with the subject matter. The results of this study indicated that distance teaching requires a practical and attractive framework so that the students can participate in learning enthusiastically. Distance teaching is very effective and efficient but teachers have limitations in controlling the value of students’ character education directly. Distance teaching has an impact on parents and teachers because parents have to provide additional costs for purchasing internet quota. On the other hand, for teachers, not all teachers are proficient in using technology and social media as learning media. The results of the study are expected to be able to consider for teachers in doing distance teaching during COVID-19.

Abstract

The existence of the Internet has a tremendous influence on human life in all fields. As a manifestation of improving services to the community, government agencies also use the Internet in providing services which are then known as e-government. E-government is designed as an internet-based service method that is able to provide fast, practical, and efficient services while providing transparency to the public. This article describes the implementation of e-government in government agencies with the aim of analyzing the obstacles found in the implementation of e-government. This article is library research where data collection is done by reviewing and exploring references in the form of articles, journals, books, magazines or other literature related to the topic under study. Data analysis was performed using Nvivo 12 plus. The results of this study indicate that there are three main obstacles in implementing e-government, namely: 1) understanding organizational culture; 2) linking political organization to the barriers of e-government, and 3) technological infrastructure barriers. Knowing these obstacles is expected to be an evaluation material for the government to better prepare for the implementation of e-government.

Abstract

The development of technology, information, and computers is increasingly providing convenience and comfort for users. It is no different from the innovation of the e-Government concept carried out by the government in the tourism sector (e-Tourism). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the adoption of cloud computing systems in the development of tourism based on technology and information (E-Tourism). The research method used is a literature study with the help of the Nvivo 12 Plus analysis tool. The results show that the adoption of cloud computing systems in the development of E-Tourisme is certainly driven by the many advantages provided, including Ease of Access, Cost Efficiency, Flexibility in Adding Capacity, Ease of Server Monitoring and Management, Increasing Data Availability, Focus on Business Improvement and Business Development. In addition, cloud computing innovates in improving smartphone-based facilities and features. For users, the cloud system provides easy access along with GPS, camera, music player, a dictionary, notepad, and translator, a tourist need.

Abstract

Immigration in Indonesia continues to strive to innovate in immigration services by utilizing developments in information systems and technology to facilitate immigration services and improve the bureaucratic system. The online passport queue registration system has been implemented at the Class III Non-TPI Ponorogo Immigration Office since the issuance of the Circular of the Directorate General of Immigration Number IMI-UM.01.01-4166 concerning the Implementation of Online Passport Application Queue Registration Applications throughout Indonesia. The application of this online passport queue registration system has been realized by the Non TPI Ponorogo Class III Immigration Office since 2017. With the online passport queue registration system, the public can more easily register queues and get information related to when to come to the Non-Class III Immigration Office. TPI Ponorogo made a passport. How is the application of egovernment in the online passport queue registration system at the Class III NonTPI Ponorogo Immigration Office? This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The Online Passport Queue Registration Application (APAPO) as a form of e-government practice in its application in society has been able to improve the quality of effective, efficient, transparent and accountable government administration with non-stop service interactions. The pattern whereby the user or applicant can access this application anywhere as long as the user or applicant is connected to an internet connection. The Online Passport Queue Registration Application (APAPO) is able to reduce queuing time for passport processing so that applicants do not have to queue for a long time because with this application applicants can find out the arrival hours at the immigration office and this application is quite informative for its users.
