Abstract

Child is any person who has not reached the age of eighteen years or under eighteen years. Workers are people who can do work in accordance with applicable laws. The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Article 27 paragraph 2 states that "Every citizen has the right to work and a decent living for humanity." This provides direction for the state to treat every citizen fairly in employment matters. The type of research conducted by the author is Juridical Empirical Research, which examines the applicable legal provisions and what happens in reality in society by using a law approach and a case approach. Or it can be interpreted that the research carried out is a legal regulation of the actual situation. Today in Indonesia, there is a phenomenon that is worrying because there are several business entities that are owned as child labor in the company. Children who are already working as child labor in a company must be given legal protection which is one of their rights. From the results of this research, the phenomenon of child labor in Merauke district is the children of the indigenous Papuans who drop out of school or those who do not continue their education to a higher level, and also some who are still working. The reasons they drop out of school vary, some are already lazy to go to school, because of the family's economy and some want to lighten the burden on their parents economically. The importance of protecting children from indigenous Papuans, namely by making children as legal subjects, equal rights and obligations regulated by the State.

Abstract

The current pandemic has changed the learning process from face-to-face to online learning (distance learning). So that all universities are encouraged to prepare distance learning infrastructure in the form of digital platforms. Although the PJJ is widely assessed by several different parties, one of them is the perception of students. Students' perceptions of distance learning are viewed from the opinions of what they experience and students who feel learning during distance learning. Students must also be prepared to face this distance learning process. This study aims to explore the readiness of students to undergo distance learning online by lecturers. The sample selection technique was simple random sampling consisting of 20 students drawn from various majors at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Musamus University. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires were distributed online using a google form and interviews were conducted with zoom from student representatives. The data analysis technique uses the Analysis Interactive Model, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and make conclusions. Based on the results of research, student readiness is caused by the unavailability of facilities and infrastructure, such as not having a laptop and smartphone, then the unpreparedness of students during the lecture process including an internet network that is less stable and data packages that are not sufficient to complete lectures to completion. So in this case, all university stakeholders and the government must work together to overcome this problem so that education in eastern Indonesia continues to develop.
