Abstract The purpose of this study is to identified the effectivity of health education about APIYU reflexology massage therapy to Diabetes Mellitus type 2 patient. The research used pre-eksperimental design without control group. Participants of this study were 34 people. Samples taken using non probability sampling technique. Data collection used in this study was a questionnaire about APIYU reflexology massage. The participants group were given health education about APIYU reflexology massage. Data analyzed using Wilcoxon test. The results of the study shows that level of knowledge before intervention is 8.50 with maximal and minimal value 5 and 14 and after is 14.0 with maximal and minimal value 7 and 15 (p value = 0.000), It mean that there is an increase knowledge after received information about APIYU. The results of this study recommen that health education about APIYU reflexology massage can increase patient’s knowledge about APIYU reflexology massage. The finding of this study can be used of nursing intervention to increase patient’s knowledge about APIYU reflexology massage for Diabetes Mellitus Type 2. Abstract This study aimed to determine the relationship of family support for diet adherence in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2. This research method used descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in medical outpatient clinic in Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru against 72 respondents DM taken by using purposive sampling technig. Instrument used was questionnaires that was tested it’s validity and reliability. This study used Chi-square test for bivariate analysis. These results indicate that high family support and comply to diet as many as 30 respondents (81.1%), respondents who earned high family support and did not comply on diet is as much as 7 respondents (18.9%). Respondents who have low family support and comply to diet is as much as 10 respondents (28.6%), and respondents who have low family’s support and do not comply to diet DM as many as 25 respondents (71.4%) of the obtained p value (0.000) <α (0.05). The conclusion of this study there is relationship between family support with dietary compliance of patients with type 2 diabetes in medical outpatient clinic in Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the study it’s expected Hospitals can provide information and identify family support issues and diet adherence associated with efforts to improve health care in diabetic patients. Abstract Technology is an important thing in our daily life to do social activity and to communicate with other people. As the technology develop faster, smartphone put in appearance. Not only adults are using smartphones but also school-aged children. Childrens that use smartphones wisely, they will get good cognitive ability. This research aimed to determine the correlation between using smartphones and school-aged children’s cognitive ability. The design of this research was descriptive correlational with cross sectional approach. Study was conducted in SDN 039 Pekanbaru with 140 samples were selected using stratified random sampling technique. This research used questionnaire that has been validity and realibility tested. The analysis use were univariat analysis to find the frequency distribution and bivariat analyses using chi-square test. The result showed that there was correlation between using smartphones and school-aged children’s cognitive ability with p value (0,000) < α (005). Parents should control their school-aged children’s from negative ways of using smartphone. Keywords: School-aged children, cognitive ability, smartphones use

AbstractThis study aim to determine the relationship of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) against the weight of children aged 6-24 months in Puskesmas Harapan Raya Pekanbaru. Design in this research was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. Samples were 77 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using proportionate stratified random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire that was tested it’s validity and reliability. Univariate analysis used to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using chi-square test. This study showes that administration of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) is good as many as 47 respondents (61,0%), not good 30 respondents (39,0%) in the provision of complementary feeding (MP-ASI). This study also indicates that is 60 infant with normal weight (77,9%), and 17 infant with not normal weight (22,1%). From Chi Square analysiz, it is indicate that the p value (0,000) < α (0,05), that means that there is a significant relationship between. The provision of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) toward weight of children aged 6-24 months in Puskesmas Harapan Raya Pekanbaru. According to this research, it is expected that parents could give complementary feeding to their child, that appropriate to their age therefore will incrase their children’s weight in normal range.Keywords: Weight, complementary feeding (MP-ASI)

Abstract This study aimed to find the relation of nutritional status to cognitive development of preschool children at Pertiwi Kindergaten Pekanbaru. This study design was correlational descriptive using cross sectional design. The samples were choosen using stratified random sampling technique. The number of samples were 100 respondent of students in Pertiwi Kindergaten Pekanbaru. The data were collected by giving questionairre to the students. The analyses used were univariate analysis to find the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. The result of the study showed that from 100 respondents, those that had a low nutrional status are 25 students (75%) and good nutritional status 75 students (75%). While the students with less cognitive development were 12 students (12 %) and good cognitive development were 88 students (88%). This study indicated that there is no relation between nutritional status and cognitive development of preschool student (p value= 0,169, p < 0,05). This study recommend to identify other factors that can increase the nutritional status and influence the cognitive development in children. Abstract This study aims to know the analysis of adolescents sexual behavior with disabilities in SLB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru. Sexual behavior is behavior that is driven by sexual desire, both with the opposite sex or the same sex. Adolescents are individuals who were in the period of transition from childhood into adulthood, beginning around 10 years old to 13 years old and ended between the ages of 18 years old to 22 years old, and is characterized with a very rapid development from physical, psychological and sosial aspects. While disability is a defeciency that causes imperfect due to accident or other which causes the limitations on himself/ herself physically. This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The subject selection tecnique used total sampling that is 50 students. Interview by using picture is used to collect the data. The results of this study indicates the form of risky sexual behaviors such as kissing lips 12 students (24%) and palpating the sensitive body 8 students (16%). While unrisky behavior such as holding hand 36 students (72%), kissing cheek 23 students (46%), cuddle 28 students (56%) and masturbation 21 students (42%). The recomendation in this study is a practical action that can be adapted by parents or teachers to provide sex education for disabilities adolescents. Abstract Total number of patient with tuberculosis is increased every year. One of the problem is nutritional status is not good. The aim of the research is to identify the correlation between nutritional status and ADL among pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Lung Tuberculosis ward Arifin Achmad Hospital. The research was designed by correlation wtih cross sectional. The total sample are 44 respondents with purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. The data was collected by measuring body weight and height and observation. IMT to measure nutritional status and Barthel index to observe ADL. The data was analyzed by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the result showed that there is correlation between nutritional status and ADL among pulmonary tuberculosis patient with degree p value (0.042) < α (0.05). Based on the results of this research, the nurses should be monitor the nutritional status to increase ADL among pulmonary tuberculosis patients.
