Abstract

This study aims to analyze the business potential of wedding organizers in the city of Medan. The city of Medan as one ofthe MICE destinations in Indonesia that the Government has put in place must develop the potential of the MICE industry inthe city. The wedding organizer business has the potential to increase state revenue, develop the economy of the NorthSumatra area, and reduce unemployment in Medan. This research explores the bride and groom in the city of Medan inpreparing their wedding plans. The population used is the wedding organizer and the bride and groom who use the weddingorganizer services in carrying out their wedding. Data collection techniques are done by interview and library study. Theresults of this study are based on the perception of wedding organizers as business people as well as consumers who usethe services of the wedding organizer, found that Medan City based on the needs of the residents of the city requireswedding organizer services in carrying out a perfect wedding without any flaws that can leave a good impression on theinvited guests.

Abstract

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy affirmed the establishment of storynomics strategy based on cultural wealth and is part of tourist areas promotion carried out with storytelling narratives, packaged in interesting content based on local culture. This research took place in Huta Siallagan Samosir Lake Toba Cultural Tourism Area. It aims to see whether tourism storytelling has a positive impact on consumer tourism behaviour intentions through WOM Intention and re-visit or not. The survey was conducted online by spreading questioner to tourist and managers of tourist areas. The analysis method is frequency, reliability, factor, and regression. The hypothesis test results showed that education, description, uniqueness, emotions, uniqueness of property, and ease of understanding in tourism storytelling that influenced WOM Intention. Among all the influencing factors, ease of understanding in storytelling is dominant and followed by attractive property tourism storytelling also affects the Re-visit intention

Abstract

This study aims to explain the EFFECT OF “COLORFUL MEDAN” BRANDING AND MICE EVENTS ON INTEREST TO VISIT THE CITY OF MEDAN. This type of research uses explanatory research, and data is obtained from distributing questionnaires to 106 domestic tourists who travel to MICE events in Medan City. This study uses descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the Colorful Medan branding variable and the MICE event had a direct effect on the interest of tourists to visit again. Based on the results of the study, it is better for the Medan City Government and MICE industry players to work together in maintaining and socializing Medan's colorful branding by increasing the promotion of all types of objects and tourist attractions in Medan City. This research is limited to the variables of city branding, MICE events and intention to visit again. Hopefully, through this research, MICE branding and tourism in Medan City can be further developed to the fullest.Keywords: City Branding, MICE Event, Interest to Visit Again.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan PENGARUH BRANDING “COLORFUL MEDAN” DAN EVENT MICE TERHADAP MINAT BERKUNJUNG KEMBALI KE KOTA MEDAN. Jenis penelitian ini ini menggunakan riset eksplanatori, dan data diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner kepada 106 wisatawan domestic yang melakukan perjalanan event MICE di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel branding Colorful Medan dan event MICE berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap minat wisatawan untuk berkunjung kembali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ada baiknya Pemerintah Kota Medan dan pelaku industry MICE bekerjasama dalam menjaga dan mensosialisasikan branding colorful Medan dengan meningkatkan promosi semua jenis objek dan daya Tarik wisata yang ada di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini terbatas pada variabel city branding, event MICE dan niat berkunjung kembali. Kiranya melalui penelitian ini branding dan wista MICE di Kota Medan dapat lebih dikembangkan lagi secara maksimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pembangunan infrastruktur public dan sektor pariwisata terhadap kepuasan wisatawan di Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan daftar pertanyaan dalam bentuk angket dan wawancara yang mendalam, dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Dilihat dari permasalahan yang ada menuju Kabupaten Karo dan objek wisata terdapat kesulitan terhadap jalan menuju Kabupaten Karo, jalan yang kecil dan kemacetan yang dihadapi oleh berbagai faktor dan juga kurangnya fasilitas umum dan juga kebersihan di sekitar objek wisata di Kabupaten Karo. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan terhadap seluruh data yang diperoleh, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: terdapat peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke Kabupaten Karo, peningkatan objek dan daya tarik wisata, dan juga membuka sektor lapangan pekerjaan di sektor pariwisata. Selain dampak positif dari pembangunan yang terjadi, yaitu kemacetan dan juga kurangnya sadar akan peduli sampah di sekitar objek wisata.
