Abstract

Manokwari is one of the producers of chicken eggs in West Papua province. The need for nutritious food is especially foods that contain protein today. This makes the need for chicken eggs to increase with the growth of the people of Manokwari. It is necessary to increase the population of laying chickens to meet the needs in Manokwari especially in Masni district. The addition of the population can be either DOC or Layer, so it is necessary to analyze financial feasibility to determine if the population increase is feasible from financial aspects. This research was conducted on poultry hatchling in the village of Kenyum Fowl in the Kampung Muara Masni District which assumed a bias for the addition of livestock as many as 1,220 laying chickens. This research was conducted on the efforts of poultry chicken laying in Kenyum for 2 weeks, starting from 23 December 2019 until 5 January 2020. The method used is a quantitative method with a case study approach. The subject in this study is the business owner of Poultry Egg laying chicken Kenyum. The sampling method performed is intentionally (purposive). The data collected in this study is primary data and secondary data. The results of this study stated that the business of Kenyum poultry in katakana deserves to be carried out from the financial aspect, both in DOC and layer additions. This is because assessments made using investment criteria show good results or qualify for eligibility. The value of Payback Period (PP) or the rate of return for 3 years 8 months for addition in the form of layers and 2 years 8 months for the addition of layers, and both are not more than the age of business is 5 years. The value of Net Present Value (NPV) produced in the business of poultry chicken egg laying Kenyum at a deposit interest rate of 5.5% is 331,899,382 for additions in the form of DOC and 2,259,789,228 for the addition of layers. The IRR (Internal Rate of Return) value for the addition of DOC is 22.54% and 89.37% for adding layers. As well as the Profitabillity Index (PI) value of 1.84 and 6.710.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketersediaan, jumlah konsumsi, bahan pangan beras pada saat pandemic Covid-19 di Kabupaten Teluk Bintuni tahun 2020. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Teluk Bintuni. Kajian ini menggunakan data sekunder dengan analisis data secara deskriptif dan data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketersediaan bahan pangan beras saat pandemic Covid-19 dan adanya Hari Besar Keagaman Nasional (HBKN) seperti Puasa, Idul Fitri, Idul Adha dan Natal & Tahun Baru tahun 2020 di Kabupaten Teluk Bintuni mengalami defisit. Konsumsi bahan pangan beras pada saat pandemic di Kabupaten Teluk Bintuni mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

Optimizing Diversification is an effort to optimize the income from various types of farming activities carried out. This study aims to (1) Identify the types of vegetables cultivated by farmers in Andai Village, South Manokwari District for one year (2) Calculate the income generated from each type of vegetable plant that is cultivated in one year (3) Know the maximum income that is produced from these types of vegetables. The method used in this research is descriptive method through a case study approach. The data in this study were analyzed using tabulation and linear programming analysis by using the simplex method to determine the area of land, work flow and optimal capital devoted to the types of vegetables cultivated that can provide optimum income. Based on the results of the analysis obtained 8 types of vegetable plants cultivated by farmers in Andai village for one year. Maximum income for the types of vegetables cultivated for one year is found in kale, spinach and chili binoculars.

Abstract

The processing industry is an industry that processes raw products into semi-finished or finished products. Such as the food, beverage, wood processing, printing and others industries. Generally, the processing industry is run and controlled by SMEs. In West Papua, the number of MSEs continues to increase from year to year. The development of the canteen business on campus is one of the micro and small businesses that is quite promising with its market share being students, lecturers and also administrative staff in the campus environment. One of the campuses that has a canteen is the University of Papua. The University of Papua is the only State University in West Papua, so it has a large number of students and employees (lecturers and staff) and will continue to grow every year. In 2020, the number of students and as many as 8,459 people and 694 lecturers spread across 12 main faculties in Manokwari Regency. This study aims to determine the external and internal conditions of the canteen business at UNIPA and also to determine the development strategies that can be applied by the canteen business at UNIPA. The research took place from 03 July 2020 to 18 July 2020. The implementation site was carried out at the Papua University Campus (UNIPA), Manokwari Regency. The method used is descriptive method. Subjects in the study were canteen entrepreneurs at the UNIPA campus. Be it business actors and HMJ. Purrosive sampling method. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used in this study was processed and tabulated and then analyzed with a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). The internal conditions faced by the canteen business are illustrated by the total score on the IFE and EFE matrices. The total internal factor is 3.83 and the external total factor is 3.99. The IE matrix is prepared by plotting the total weighted average score of the IFE matrix on the x-axis and EFE on the y-axis. The evaluation results of the IFE matrix show a value of 3.83 which illustrates the strong internal conditions of the canteen business. Meanwhile, the evaluation results of the EFE matrix show a value of 3.99 which describes the external conditions of the canteen business which are quite strong.
