Abstract

The result of the analysis of the studyshows the lack of educational condition related to Information Technology (IT) especially for orphanage children. Community service activities aim to provide computer training as a form of character development in the field of education. The subjects of community service activities are the children at the Mujahidin Orphanage in Anjir Serapat Village, Kapuas Timur Sub-District, Kapuas District, with 11 members. Training activities are supported by lecture methods, frequently asked questions and direct practice of using computer applications with the help of training modules provided to the participants as a tool in practice. The results showed that computer training can give knowledge and understanding for orphaned children in computer skills in the mastery of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Powerpoint and can foster the values of educational characters in themselves such as curiosity, creative, hard work, and communicative.

Abstract

Leadership is a person’s ability to convince and motivate others to do something that are related to the common goals. The leadership involved the process of convincing in determining the goal of organization, motivating the attitude of the participator to reach the goal, convincing to improve their group and culture. Leadership is a formal position, that ask to get facilities and services from the constituents that should be served. Although among the leaders that when they are inaugurated said that the position is a trust, but in fact, there is very little or it can be said almost no leader that truly implementing the leadership from their heart, that is a serving leader. Even that needs to be a note here is how a leader must have a vision in building an independent soul, views, thoughts, attitudes and behaviors of all of the people at one the leader in order to be oriented to the progress and modern, so Indonesia become a big nation and be able to have competition with the other nations in the world. A truly leader always worked hard to improve himself before the leader busy to improve the others. The leader is not only a title or position that given from the outside but something that it grows and evolves from the inside of the person.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Formative Evaluation of the Implementation of Economic Subjects in class XI in Aliyah Al-Badar Lessons Kasongan academic years 2013-2014. To get the data the researchers used several methods, namely: Interview, observation, and documentation. Planning is the preparation done by teachers in economics before carrying out the formative evaluation, namely to create a syllabus and lesson plans, so that the implementation of formative evaluation can be run properly. Implementation of formative evaluation of economic subjects held in Aliyah Al - Badar is in conformity with the relevant teacher planning, even in the learning system that is taught to students of economic subjects has been going well despite the shortcomings, especially infrastructure and facilities such as libraries, laboratories, and textbooks are very minimal. Follow up of the results of the formative evaluation, after carrying out the formative evaluation of the test results will be notified to the learning outcomes of students who either can continue to the next lesson, but for the students who have not reached the learning outcomes, KKM will be held remedial for improved results. Constraints in the learning process faced by teachers are mastery of the material, therefore the teachers of economics should be ready in the mastery of the material that will be presented to the learner.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and find data in the implementation of tasks in the students at SDN-1 Panarung, Kelurahan Pahandut, Sebangau District, Kota Palangka Raya.The method used in this study is a qualitative method which generally uses techniques to collect data, interview to communicate with informants or objects of research, and documentary studies (documentation) to collect data sourced from archives that are inside and outside the school. On the basis of this concept is the technique used by the data above in this study. Research results: Principals and Teachers at SDN-1 Panarung Palangka Raya are very interested in applying character education where schools provide facilities and infrastructure in the form of syllabi, lesson plans, and books for students in the learning process to facilitate teachers and since the introduction of character education can improve learning outcomes or student achievement. From the results of the study can be used to determine the condition of the students who are educated in education and learning.

Abstract

Kaum Muda Indonesia adalah masa depan Bangsa ini maka, setiap pemuda Indonesia, baik yang masih berstatus pelajar, mahasiswa ataupun yang sudah menyelesaikan pendidikannya merupakan faktor-faktor penting yang sangat diandalkan oleh Bangsa Indonesia dalam mewujudkan cita-cita bangsa dan juga mempertahankan kedaulatan Bangsa. Perubahan-perubahan kebijakan pemerintah selalu diwarnai oleh ide-ide ataupun gagasan-gagasan yang datangnya dari para pemuda (mahasiswa). Perwujudan usaha bela negara dalam konteks perjuangan bangsa merupakan kesiapan dan kerelaan setiap warganegara untuk berkorban demi mempertahankan kemerdekaan, kedaulatan negara, persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa Indonesia, keutuhan wilayah nusantara dan yuridiksi nasional, serta nilai-nilai Pacasila dan Undang-undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia tahun 1945. Kiprah pemuda (mahasiswa) dalam melakukan perubahan-perubahan di Negara Indonesia sebagai wujud sikap bela negara. Semangat juang dan patah semangat yang dimiliki kaum muda (mahasiswa) hendaknya dimanfaatkan sebagai dasar pergerakan pemuda. Pemuda (Mahasiswa) kala ini hendaknya ikut serta dalam usaha pembelaan negara yang dilakukan dengan cara mengisi kemerdekaan dengan manampilkan sikap-sikap positif yang sesuai dengan ideologi bangsa dan konstitusi yang berlaku di Indonesia. Semangat bela negara dapat tercermin dari adanya kesadaran pemuda (mahasiswa) akan aturan-aturan yang harus dipatuhi dan dilaksanakan, serta adanya kemelekan politik dari para pemuda (mahasiswa) yang akhirnya dapat memposisikan diri dalam menempuh pendidikan dengan penuh kesadaran dan semangat menuntut ilmu yang tinggi maupun kancah politik nasional untuk perubahan Indonesia.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the data from the results of interviews and documentation in several government high schools Palangkaraya that there are limitations in the mastery of information technology, lack of infrastructure, limited budget, causing the lack of application of the instrument to be used as guidelines for the implementation of guidance and counseling, including the collection of data results service becomes not routinely performed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of guidance and counseling in SMA Govenrment School Palangkaraya. This research used descriptive research, by adapting the evaluation of the two models, namely models EPIC from Hammond and Countenance Model of Stake. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The assessment criteria is three categories; low, medium, and high. The results showed: (1) Components antecedents in the form of service characteristics as supporting the implementation of guidance and counseling in SMA Government School in Palangkaraya, categorized: Medium. (2) Components of transactions in the form of activity characteristic of services as the implementation of guidance and counseling in high schools in Palangkaraya, categorized: Low. (3) Components outcomes in the form of the results of activities in the implementation of guidance and counseling in high schools in Palangkaraya, in the form of benefits from the implementation of the guidance and counseling that marked the development of behavioral changes of students, categorized: High.

Abstract

This study aims to describe learning activities and improve learning outcomes. The method used in this study is to use a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design that seeks to overcome the problems faced in the current situation. The subjects needed in this study were students of class XI-10 Palangkaraya 4 High School, totaling 35 students, for data collection techniques used were observation and tests. Data analysis consists of qualitative and quantitative data. The results of the study show that: (1) Student learning activities are good. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the average score of learning activities of students in the first cycle obtaining an average score of 3.77 with the criteria of Good. (2) There is an increase in learning outcomes. This can be proven by the acquisition of the average score of the students in the pre-cycle there is no complete (0.00%) got a value of unwilling 75 with unfavorable criteria. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the average score of learning activities of students in the first cycle obtaining an average score of 3.77 with completeness (100%) or getting a value of ≥ 75 with the criteria Good.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the learning activities of students with the use of varied lecture methods with assignments and question and answer; (2) to find out the improvement in student learning outcomes in economic subjects with the use of lecture methods varies with the assignment of assignments and question and answer at Katingan Hilir Kasongan State Senior High School. The method in this study is qualitative and quantitative methods with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS with a total of 23 students. Data collection techniques in this study were using observation and tests. The data analysis technique in this study uses percentages. The results showed that: (1) with the use of lecture methods varied with assignments and question and answer students became more active, this was evidenced by the data obtained, namely in cycle I 2.5 and had entered the criteria enough and in the implementation of the second cycle of 2.9 and has achieved good criteria, (2) With the use of lecture methods vary with the assignment of tasks and question and answer, there is an increase in student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the percentage of student learning outcomes in the first cycle which is equal to 78, 26%, namely as many as 18 students who complete and in the implementation of the second cycle that is achieving class completeness where students who complete as many as 23 students or 100% complete. This means that the use of the lecture method varies with the assignment of assignments and question and answer can improve student learning outcomes on economic subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in economic learning outcomes and activities of students of class XI IPS 1 in Palangka Raya Muhammadiyah High School in economic learning using cooperative learning models of group investigations. The method used in this study was to use the Classroom Action Research design. The subjects in this study were 23 students. The results of the study showed that the learning outcomes and learning activities of students increased. This is evident from the average score of economic learning activities of students in the first cycle to the second cycle, which is 43.8 which includes a category increased to 47 which includes a very increasing category. the pre-test learning outcomes averaged 52.82 with 39% completeness, the post-test results in the first cycle average score 77.39 with completeness 69.5%, and the post-test results in cycle II averaged 99.13 with completeness 100% criteria are very achievable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran IPA dengan media berbasis visual, (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dengan menggunakan media berbasis visual. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas III SD Negeri 9 Langkai Palangka Raya tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih baik setelah menggunakan media audio visual, dan (2) peningkatan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik setelah menggunakan media berbasis visual dibuktikan dengan hasil ratarata siklus I yaitu 69,16 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 50%, meningkat menjadi 87,72 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 100% pada siklus II
