Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of giving a mixture of fermented tofu dregs and rice bran in the ration on the optimal performance of hybrid ducks. The research has been held for 35 days from 22 July 2020 to 25 August 2020, located at Reungas Village, Jagabaya Village, Cimaung District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The research was carried out experimentally with a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of four treatments, namely P0 (giving basal ration 100%), P1 (giving basal ration 80% + fermented tofu dregs 10% + fermented rice bran 10%), P2 (giving basal ration 70% + fermented tofu dregs 15% + fermented rice bran 15%), and P3 (giving basal ration 60% + fermented tofu dregs 20% + fermented rice bran 20%). Each treatment was repeated 5 times and each repetition consisted of 5 hybrid ducks. The observed variables were ration consumption, body weight gain and ration conversion. The data obtained were analyzed using variance (ANOVA), if there was an effect of treatment followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the mixture of fermented tofu dregs and rice bran each 20% in the ration could produce optimal performance with ration consumption of 3,042.49 g/ tail, body weight gain of 1,671.88 g/ tail, and ration conversion 1.79.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the used of molases as an additive in making banana jackfruit peel silage on crude fiber and crude protein. This research was conducted in Sirnaraja, Mandalasari village, Cikalongwetan district, West Bandung regency for 21 days, while the sample test carried out Balai Pengujian Mutu dan Keamanan Pakan/Bahan Pakan (BPMKP/BP) at the Cikole-Lembang. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with four treatments (P0 : banana jackfruit peel silage with 0% molases), (P1 : banana jackfruit peel silage with 1% molases), (P2 : banana jackfruit peel silage with 3% molases), (P3 : banana jackfruit peel silage with 5% molases) and five replication. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan’s multiple range test. The result show that the used of molases as an additive was significantly (P<0,05) of crude fiber and crude protein with average 8,79-31,61% and 8,79-9,55%. The used of 3% molases is the most optimal of the decrease crude fiber and increase crude protein.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out how the effect of replacing BR1 with BR2 on broiler performance. The research method was experimental using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments consisted of R1: giving BR1 aged 1 to 35 days, R2: giving BR2 aged 1 to 35 days, R3: giving BR1 aged 1 to 7 days and giving BR2 aged 8 to 35 days, R4: giving BR1 aged 1 to 14 days and giving BR2 aged 15 to 35 days, R5: giving BR1 aged 1 to 21 days and giving BR2 aged 22 to 35 days. Each treatment was replicated 5 times. The observed variables were daily ration consumption, daily body weight gain, ration conversion. Data were analyzed by variance analysis, if there was an effect of treatment, it was continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The conclusion of this research was that the replacement of BR1 to BR2 rations had a significant effect on daily ration consumption and ration conversion, but had no significant effect on daily body weight gain of broilers. Giving BR1 for 35 days resulted in the lowest daily ration consumption, daily body weight gain and ration conversion.

Abstract

Turkey is one of the poultry commodities with the potential to be a source of animal protein for the community. Optimal turkey productivity must be supported by the provision of rations that in quality and quantity can meet the needs of the livestock, including by providing additional feed that is relatively cheap but has high nutritional value. This research aimed to determine the effect of providing additional feed with cassava leaves and tofu dregs in the ration on turkey productivity and to obtain the percentage of additional feeding with cassava leaves and tofu dregs in the ration that produces the best productivity. The method used experimental and Completely Randomized Design, 3 treatments, namely P1: giving 90% basal ration + 5% cassava leaves + 5% tofu dregs, P2: giving 80% basal ration + 10% cassava leaves + 10% tofu dregs, and P3: giving 70% basal ration + 15% cassava leaves + 15% tofu dregs, replicated 8 times, each replication consisting of 4 turkeys. The variables observed were ration consumption, body weight gain, and ration conversion. Data were analysed using ANOVA (0,05) and Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Based on the research results, providing cassava leaves and tofu dregs in the ration had a significant effect on turkey productivity. Providing additional feed with cassava leaves and tofu dregs as much as 5% in the ration produces the best ration consumption, body weight gain, and ration conversion, approximately 5,087.06 g/birds, 2,883.59 g/birds, and 1.80.
