Abstract

The implementation of the Rapit Transit Bus (BRT) requires evaluation of performance, by exploring service quality. Because service quality is important for the success of Trans Jogja. The purpose of this study was to determine the existing conditions of bus rapid transit (BRT) service and performance in the city of Yogyakarta, and to find out the priority strategies for implementing bus rapid transit (BRT) management at the study site.  The method used in this study was the Science and QFD methods. The results of the research on the existing level of BRT performance in Yogyakarta, the arrival and departure times of Trans Jogja buses are good and can satisfy passengers, but the waiting time and operating time still need handling. The research results of the priority strategies for implementing BRT management management that need to be addressed are ease of location from the community living environment to the Trans Jogja bus stop, ease of change of mode, and management of cost compliance.

Abstract

Objective: The present study planned to study the combined effect of Bromelain and Turmeric in acetic acid induced ulcerative colitis in Wistar rats. Methodology: Wistar rats of either sex (n = 30) were divided into 5 groups. Group – I, Sham control, administered single dose of vehicle rectally; Group –II, colitis control, colitis was induced by rectal administration of single dose of 2 ml of 3%, v/v of acetic acid in 0.9% saline; Group–III, treated with Turmeric (50 mg/kg/p.o); Group–IV, treated with Bromelain (100 mg/kg/p.o) and Group –V, treated with both Turmeric (50 mg/kg/p.o) and Bromelain (100 mg /kg/p.o). Colitis was induced in all the treatment groups on first day and drug treatment was continued for 7 days. During the treatment period, Disease Activity Index (DAI) was assessed daily and on 8th day White Blood Cell (WBC) Count and Differential Leucocyte Count (DLC) was performed and on 9th day all the rats were sacrificed for the assessment of intestinal inflammation, colon myeloperoxidase (MPO) levels and Histopathology. Results obtained were analysed by one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s multiple comparison test. Results: Overall changes in DAI, Inflammatory scores, WBC, DLC and MPO has shown significant improvement with Turmeric and Bromelain compared to Colitis control. However, the combined therapy has shown to be more effective in alleviating ulcerative colitis compared to individual therapies. Conclusion: The present study recommends that the combination of Turmeric and Bromelain has synergistic effect in treating ulcerative colitis.

Abstract

Buildings have an important role for human life according to their functions. After the construction process is complete, the building is expected to carry out its functions according to the expected plan age. However, construction with substandard quality building materials causes the building to experience rapid damage resulting in more routine maintenance and high maintenance costs. The object of this research is the Asrema Gedung Putra Polytechnic Bali. One of the appropriate methods in analyzing the economic value of a building starting from planning, implementation and maintenance is to use the Life Cycle Cost Method. From the research results, it is found that four components make up the Life Cycle Cost, namely the initial cost or development cost of Rp. 6,407,566,714 (19%), operational costs Rp. 21,911,035,624 (64%), maintenance and replacement costs Rp. 5,622,402,603 (16%), and the cost for the destruction of Rp. 213,171,382 (1%). And from this research it is also known that the cost of the building component replacement cycle is in accordance with the regulation No. PU. 24 of 2008 so it is expected that the Jembrana Bali Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic Male Dormitory Building can stand for 50 years according to the expected building age.
