Abstract

Verticulture is a method of farming both indoors and outdoors that utilizes limited land. One of the plants that can be cultivated with a verticulture system is red spinach. Red spinach is an annual plant, usually grows in tropical areas and is an important vegetable crop for people in lowlands. This research was conducted in March - April 2021. This study used a non-factorial randomized block design consisting of 7 treatments and 4 replications : A­­0- kontrol (0 ml/l), A0+ kontrol (POC NASA 6 ml/l), A1 (100 ml/l), A2 (200 ml/l), A3 (300 ml/l), A4 (400 ml/l), dan A5 500 (500 ml/l). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermentation of old coconut water on the growth and yield of red spinach and to find out at what concentration the fermentation of old coconut water gave the best results for red spinach with a verticulture system. The results showed that the plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, wet weight and dry weight obtained the highest average value in the A0-control treatment (0 ml/l), while the lowest value was obtained in the A5 treatment (500 ml/l). The fermentation concentration of old coconut water had no significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, wet weight and dry weight of red spinach plants.

Abstract

The different varieties used are the same growing environment will provide an overview of the application of varieties. The different varieties used are aimed at seeing the right variety for planting in the highlands as well as a better appearance. The research was carried out in the home screen of the experimental garden of the Vegetable Research Institute located in Cikole Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency. From September to December 2020. The research method used was a single factor randomized block design (RBD) with 9 replications. Treatment 3 was A (Bima Brebes variety), B (Pancasona variety), and C (Violetta-2 variety) so there were 27 experimental units. Treatment analysis with analysis test and analysis test 5% is significant, so to see the best treatment with the Least Significant Different (LSD) test at the 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect of varieties on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, tuber length, tuber diameter, wet tuber weight per plant, wet tuber weight per plot and dry tuber weight per plot. Treatment C (Violetta-2 variety) gave the highest yield in plants (49.81 cm), number of leaves (16.76), tuber length (26.60 mm), tuber diameter (20.69 mm), wet tuber weight. per plant (20.72 grams), wet tuber weight per plot (60.14 grams), and dry tuber weight per plot (49.81 grams). Meanwhile, treatment B (Pancasona variety) gave the highest yield in the number of tillers (4.59 tillers). Keywords : Agronomy, Highlands, Morphology, Shallots, Varieties

Abstract

Feed is an important factor in the process of aquaculture. In addition to the accuracy of the amount of feed given, the time of administration also plays an important role in the effectiveness of the use of feed. The objectives of this researh are to minimize errors feeding, both in terms of the amount of feed given and the time of administration is by designing the wake of a tool that can provide the right amount of feed and time. A feeder fish automatically designed using a timer 0f 4 pieces, consisting 1 piece timer used to set an eating schedule, and 3 pieces of each of the other is used to set a long life electric motor driving the blower, set the interval between the electric motor driving the blower with motor electric propulsion auger, and set long-life electric motor driving the auger. The test results show that the performance of the tool fish feed spreader tool can operate in three time feeding, morning, afternoon and evening. Dosage of feed within 30 seconds can remove fish feed pellets weighing 375.2 grams for medium and 233 for small pellets. Throw distance of 2.2 m and a width of 1.70 m for the distribution of pellets being as well as the distance of the throw of 2,25 m wide and 1,68 m for the distribution of small pellets. Keywords: spreader fish feed, timer, auotomatic

Abstract

One methods that can be used for cultivate baby kailan on limited land is the planting technique of floating rafts hydroponic system. The experiment was conducted in a screen house, Cianting district, Purwakarta Regency from July to August 2021. The research method was used experimental method with Randomized Block Desain (RBD) Factorial cconsisting of 9 treatments 3 replications. The first factor was aerator ativation time consisting of 3 levels, namely a1 (24 hours), a2 (12 hours with interval “on/off” 30 minutes ), and a3 (without aeration). The second factor is the EC of 3 levels, namely e1 (e1 (1,5 – 2,0 mScm-1), e2 (2,0 – 2,5 mScm-1), and e3 (2,5 – 3,0 mScm-1). The effect of threatment in the analysis with variety analysis and if the F test level is 5% significant, then to know the best treatment continued with dmrt test (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the level of 5%. The result showed that there was no interaction between the aerator and EC value difference on each parameter baby kailan. Threatment of aerator activation time 24 hours can produe the highest average fresh weight 30,08 gram. Threatment EC value 1,5 – 2,0 mScm-1 gives average of highest fresh weight baby kailan 25,51 gram.

Abstract

Red spinach is a leaf vegetable that has uniqueness and good properties for health. This study aims to study and obtain root pruning that gives the best results to the production of redspinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) in hydroponic technology floating system at each administration of the same aeration system. This research was conducted in October -November 2020 at Screen House located at Perum Trias Estate Jl. Euphorbia 3, Wanasari Village, Kec, Cibitung, BekasiDistrict. The design used is RandomIzed Group Design (RAK) with two factors, aeration system as the first factor consisting of three levels, namely, styrofoam touch solution (a0); aerator (a1); styrofoam with support (a2), and root pruning as the second factor consisting of two levels, namely, without root pruning (p0) and root pruning 50% (p1) of the root length at the age of 2 MST. The observed parameters include the height of the plant, the number of leaves of the plant, the area of the leaves of the plant and the fresh weight of the plant. Data of observation results in the test using F test 5% which if the results are significant followed by dmrt further test level of 5%. The results showed that there is an interaction between the aeration system and root pruning to the number of leaves of plants aged 4 MST

Abstract

The research was carried out at the Karawang Agricultural State Vocational School located on Jl. Surotokunto No.82, Adiarsa Timur, East Karawang, Karawang Regency, West Java. The research was carried out in June 2021 – August 2021. The purpose of this study was to obtain the value of the effectiveness of AB Mix Nutrition on the growth and yield of Kale (Brassica oleraceae var. Acephala) cultivar Curly Gruner in the system Wick Hydroponic. The research method used an experimental method with a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD). There were 6 treatments and 4 replications, so there were 24 experimental plots. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and further tested with DMRT at a level of 5%. The parameters of this study were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area. The results showed that in treatment F (2000 ppm) gave the highest yield on plant height of 57.97 cm, and leaf area in treatment F (2000 ppm) of 133.04 cm². In treatment E (1750 ppm) gave the highest yield on the number of leaves of 22.5 strands and on stem diameter with treatment E (1750 ppm) of 11.63 mm

Abstract

The plastic problem had become a global problem, which until now there was no right solution to solve it. The agricultural sector in plant cultivation activities from upstream to downstream was quite a lot of plastic waste produced, one of which was the massive use of plastic mulch in horticultural cultivation. Therefore it is necessary to develop the use of mulch with natural materials that are more environmentally friendly. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of mulch based on straw and rice husks on the growth and yield of paria Lipa F1 varieties in Pakisjaya, Karawang. The research was conducted in Telukbuyung Village, Pakisjaya District, Karawang Regency for 3 months from August to November 2020. This study used an experimental method with a Randomized Block Design (RBD) as the environmental design. The treatment given was giving mulch to the cultivation of pariah plants which consisted of 4 levels of treatment (A. Control / No Mulch, B. Black Silver Plastic Mulch, C. Rice Straw Organic Mulch Carpet, D. Organic Rice Husk Mulch Carpet) and repeated as many as 6 times so that there are 24 Trial Units. The results showed that the application of various mulching showed a significant effect on the growth and yield of bitter melon variety of Lipa F1 in Pakisjaya, Karawang. Silver black plastic mulch had the highest average value on observed parameters among other treatments, but the use of organic mulch carpet made from straw and rice husk had the potential as an alternative in mulching in horticultural cultivation.

Abstract

The research aimed was to determine a combination of rice washing water as well as the type of planting media of red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor) using the Floating Raft method, in order to increase the yield of red spinach plants. The research was conducted in a screen house in Kepuh Al-Jariah Village, Karangpawitan District, Regency Karawang, West Java Province, from August to September 2020. The method used was an experimental method with used Randomized Block Design (RDB) single factor, consisting of 10 treatments and 3 replications, andyielding 30 experimental units. The treatments were: A (AB mix and Rockwool); B (AB mix and Cocopeat); C (25% Rice washing water + Rockwool); D (50% Rice washing water + Rockwool); E (75% Rice washing water + Rockwool); F (100% Rice washing water + Rockwool); G (25% rice washing water + Cocopeat); H (50% Rice washing water + Cocopeat); I (75% Rice washing water + Cocopeat); J (100% Rice washing water + Cocopeat).

Abstract

Until recently, generator available in the market, generally gasoline or LPG. Conversion of gasoline to fuel bio-ethanol requires some adjustments.The research conducted was  a further development of research Nurjan Didik Purwanto in 2011. The research was focused on adjustment of airand fuel ratio after the fuel in the generator set was replaced with bioethanol. Bioethanol has a higher octane rating than gasoline, but it has a lower calorific value than petrol. With this condition, it is necessary to attempt to increase the ratio of air and fuel to be more "fat " to regulate the entry of air through the carburetor. Settings ratio of fuel and air is done by adjusting the carburetor choke openings. This setting restores the stability of the engine, the same as using premium gasoline.This study primarily aims to expand the use of renewable energy, especially for the implementation of electric power for households.The results of this research  has been successfully realized by using a Timer Switch AC, 12 Volt DC timer switch, solenoid valve (solenoid valve), and actuators. Aperture choke1/3 on the use of bio-ethanol fuel produces almost simillar to  the engine speed compare to it when  using gasoline. Fuel consumption of bioethanol is 40% more than the use of  gasoline. Keywords: choke, gasoline, bio ethanol

Abstract

Indonesia still through water scarcity, ironicaly Indonesia included in 10 countries with rich sources of fresh water.  In urban areas generally people can get fresh water source from water pump with making an artesian well or deep well. Artesian well water pump is very expensiveif it’s used only in one house.  To make efficient, using one pump for two or more houses can be overcome by making “operational control device pumps water”.  Utilizing the interlock system used on two houses and one well, so if one house pump turned on, another house can’t be turned on an off except after reservoir tank fulled of water, another house can be turned on the water pump. Reservoir tank is used automatically by using a ball floater switches.  When the water in the reservoir tank is full, the pump doesn’t work so that water is not wasted in vain. This tool design cane save half the cost compared to each house makes its own borehole and pump water, because the system is supplied electrical energy to the water pump from each house. Keywords: water pump, artesian well, interlock, reservoir tank automatic
