Abstract

This study aimed to explore the relationship between maternal nutritional status and spacing of pregnancy with the incidence of low birth weight babies in hospitals Syarifa Ambami Rato Ebu, Bangkalan. The study was cross sectional correlation with the independent variables maternal nutritional status and the dependent variable spacing pregnancies and low birth weight. Its population is all women giving birth in hospitals Syarifa Ambami Rato Ebu, Bangkalan the 127 mothers. Sample taken at random gained 96 people, a large sample is taken with probability sampling technique and then proceed with proportional random sampling. Data collection using the documentation status of the patient. Then analyzed by Chi-Square Test with a significant level of ≤ 0.05. ri The results for the variable of maternal nutritional status during pregnancy is not the risk of having a baby with BBL KEK normal with 72.41% and maternal risk of having a baby with BBL KEK low 63.15%. And the results of the statistical test Chi-Square Test showed ρ α (0.05 ≤ 0.001). As for the variable spacing of 2 years of having a baby with normal BBL 75% and maternal pregnancy distance 2 years of having a baby with low BBL 69.44%. And the results of the statistical test Chi-Square Test showed ρ α (0.05 ≤ 0.000).By inference, there is a relationship between maternal nutritional status and pregnancy spacing with low birth weight incidence in infants in hospitals Syarifa Ambami Rato Ebu, Bangkalan. Health care workers should continue to provide counseling to pregnant women routinely about nutrition and good spacing pregnancies. Thus, pregnant women always consider the risk factors that could cause the LBW. Keywords: Nutritional status, distance Pregnancy, LBW

Abstract

Abortion (abortion) is prohibited by law, but in fact there are 2.3 million women have abortions(Kompas, 3 March 2000). Data WHO says, 15% to 50% of maternal deaths caused by unsafeabortion. This research is analytic cross sectional. Samples were taken by simple random samplingof 150 respondents. The independent variable is knowledge tentan sex education, while thedependent variable is the attitude towards abortion. Using data collection questionnaire. To analyzethe relationship by using tables. Research shows that almost all have less knowledge as many as61.33% of respondents, and most have a positive attitude, an attitude that rejects the existence ofsborsi ie 54.67% of the respondents. Based on this study it can be concluded that the knowledgeof adolescents about sex education has nothing to do with adolescent attitudes toward abortion. Inthis case the gesture may also be influenced by personal experience, the influence of other people, culture, mass media, religion, and emotional factors.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infection ( ARI ) is one of the most common causes of death in children indeveloping countries. Acute respiratory tract infections have led to four of the 15 million estimate causesof death in children under 5 years of age. Factors - factors that affect the incidence of ARI among others, lack of nutrients, age 2 months, LBW, not breastfeeding adequate ( non- exclusive) , air pollution, environmental rundown, immunization, and devisiensi vitamin A. The purpose of this study was to analyzedifferences in the incidence of ARI in children aged 1-4 years between exclusively breastfed and nonbreastfedexclusively in poly child RSUHaji Surabaya .Analytic observational study ( cross-sectional ) . The location of research in child poly RSU HajiSurabaya 2 - May 31, 2011. Total population of 110 children with simple random sampling sampling asample size of 86 children . The independent variable is non- exclusive breastfeeding and exclusivebreastfeeding , being the dependent variable was the incidence of ARI . source data from medical recordsthat were tested by chi - square. The results showed almost entirely of children suffering from ARI ( 81.39 % ) received nonexclusivebreastfeeding . From Chi- Square obtained X2hitung ( 4.70 ) X2tabel ( 3.84 ) it can beconcluded that HOis rejected it means there is no difference in the incidence of ARI among children aged1-4 years who were breastfed exclusively with non- exclusive breastfeedingConclusion that there are differences in the incidence of respiratory infection in infants aged 1-4years between exclusively breastfed and non- breastfed exclusively. Infants who are exclusively breastfedtendency to ARI lower when compared to that received non- exclusive breastfeeding was suggested thatthe importance of exclusive breastfeeding .Keywords: ARI, exclusive breastfeeding / non- exclusive breastfeeding

Abstract

The method used is an analytical survey with cross-sectional approach. Independent variable maternal Gestational Diabetes Mellitus  (GDM), while the dependent variable neonatal hypoglycemia. Sampling techniques using non-probability sampling by consecutive sampling. Population as 324, while the 70 samples used maternity and baby. Collecting  primary  data by sampling pheriperal blood using a gluco test on maternal and infants born to these mothers. Test statistic  is Yate’s Corrections.  The results illustrate that the maternal 21 DMG almost all barbies are born experiencing neonatal hypoglycemia which 18 (85.71%). Of 49 women giving brith are not DMG almost all barbies born are not experienced neonatal hypoglycemia are 48 (97.96%). Statistical test results Yate’s Correction with a significance level (α) of 0.05 or 95% confidence level to mention that a significant level (ρ) DMG mothers with neonatal hypoglycemia 0.000 smaller than α = 0.05 (0.0000.05), and the results manual calculations using the same formula with Yate’s Correction Continuity Correction on SPSS  results, is 47.898.   then
