Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak is increasingly deadly and is expanding beyond China. Batu Bara Regency is one of the districts that has experienced an increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19. The success of the COVID-19 health protocol practice is largely determined by the compliance of the community in carrying out the 3M movement, namely using masks, washing hands with soap, and maintaining physical distance. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to community compliance with the COVID-19 health protocol in Datuk Lima Puluh District, Batu Bara Regency. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all people in Datuk Lima Puluh District, Batu Bara Regency and the total sample was 393 people. Data collection was carried out with primary and secondary data. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results of the chi-square test show that there is a relationship between knowledge and availability of facilities and community compliance with the COVID-19 health protocol in Datuk Lima Puluh District, Batu Bara Regency. The results of multiple logistic regression tests show that respondents who do not have the availability of facilities have 1,904 times the chance of not adhering to the COVID-19 health protocol. Suggestions for the health office and health services are expected to increase health socialization related to the prevention of COVID-19 so that people can comply with health protocols.

Abstract

Hospital as a health centers which can be access with all of people is one of area which declared by smoke free area and director or person in charge of the places which declared by smoke free area has obligation to establish and make implementation of the smoke free area. That is a background of researcher to do a research which can give a knowledge and comprehension about perception of employees and visitors about the implementation smoke free area in General Hospital of Kabanjahe because they are the people who have an impact to implementation of regulation which declared in the hospital area. The research is a descriptive qualitative research. This study uses data collection techniques with in-depth interview for 9 informants.The result showed that both health care workers, management staff, directors strongly support the implementation of the smoking area in the house common areas serdang deli.However, implementation of the smoking area in public hospital serdang deli area is already running with the maximum, either aapeal the from of words ir in written rules in the persistence of the employees and visitors who smoke in several places in the district hospital deli serdang. Others outside the waiting room, in the parking lot and at the general hospital cafetaria serdang deli.

Abstract

Patient waiting time in service at outpatient registration is one of the important factors that will determine the initial image of the hospital. Patient waiting time is also a potential component as a cause of dissatisfaction. Long waiting times at outpatient registration will reduce patient comfort. This study aims to determine the relationship between waiting time for registration with patient satisfaction at the outpatient registration area at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. This type of research is analytic observational with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all Outpatients (TPPRJ). A sample of 62 people was drawn by purposive sampling technique. Methods of collecting data by direct interviews using a questionnaire, data analysis using the Chi-square test. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the waiting time for registration in the fast category is 62.9%. Patient satisfaction in the satisfied category was 59.7%. There is a relationship between waiting time for registration and patient satisfaction at the Outpatient Registration Center. p-value (= 0.022) < (= 0.05). It is recommended for Outpatient Registration Officers at Lubuk Pakam Hospital, must pay attention to the length of waiting time in Outpatient Registration, work faster and more precisely according to SOPs so that patients are always satisfied, happy with the services that have been provided by officers.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified the importance of applying vigilance among health workers in all actions to prevent an increase in health care-associated infections (HAI). The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is one of the important issues in the medical world that is often neglected in its use. This study aims to analyze the determinants of nurse compliance in the use of PPE. Quantitative research with analytical survey design. Respondents in this study were all 62 nurses who used target sampling with Chi-Square test and continued with multiple logistic regression test. The results showed that there was an effect of knowledge (p = 0.002), risk perception (p = 0.009), and workload (p = 0.007) on nurses' compliance in using PPE. Knowledge is 4 times more effective for nurses who are obedient to PPE. It is expected that the hospital will provide knowledge and skills training to nurses by providing education and training on the use of PPE on a regular basis.

Abstract

Non-Smoking Area (KTR) is a policy made by the Ministry of Health to prevent and control the health impacts caused by smoking. Control of health impacts does not only apply to active smokers, but also passive smokers and the surrounding environment exposed to cigarette smoke. The implementation method with the socialization method is an understanding of the condition of smokers in Indonesia and about KTR. In addition, it was conducted with a question and answer session and interviews with health workers and visitors related to cigarettes and KTR. The implementation of this activity is divided into three stages, namely, planning, implementation and evaluation. All health workers and the public understand the dangers of smoking but still carry out smoking activities on the grounds of addiction to cigarettes. KTR socialization provided an understanding that Deli Serdang Regional Hospital had regulations to implement and support KTR issued by the government through the Ministry of Health.

Abstract

The community satisfaction index (IKM) is an indicator that can be used to measure the level of satisfaction of the community or service users through quantitative or qualitative methods by comparing expectations and needs. The value of satisfaction with the services provided will be useful in efforts to improve services and maintain services that are considered good by users. The hospital as a health institution that is directly related to the community will always need services related to the services provided in an effort to improve and service quality. Hospitals have a variety of human resources, both medical and non-medical. Nurses are medical human resources who deal directly with service users. Almost all hospital service users are in contact with nurses in getting the services available. Nurses with optimal roles, duties, functions and responsibilities will be able to provide satisfaction for service users. Services provided as a resource that is directly related to users will have a major impact on hospital institutions. Optimizing and empowering nurses by providing understanding related to training, functions and responsibilities through discussions and simulations are expected to increase the community satisfaction index. In this community service activity (PkM), there were 62 nurses as participants. Empowerment participants were given training materials, discussions and simulations to improve the services provided. PkM is carried out using pre-test and post-test methods in assessing the level of understanding of the participants. The results of the empowerment that have been carried out have shown improvements to empowered participants in terms of improving service quality. There was an increase from 29% to 68% related to the results of empowerment that had been provided through the evaluation carried out.

Abstract

Fruits and vegetables are important components that the body needs to get nutritional content, where fruits and vegetables contain lots of vitamins, fiber, complex vegetable and animal proteins which are very useful for our bodies. The benefits of consuming fruits and vegetables apart from maintaining health conditions also prevent various chronic diseases that can be harmful to humans such as heart disease, cancer, obesity and other diseases. Adolescents are the most vulnerable age group in terms of consumption of vegetables and fruit, this habit will have a negative impact on health in the future. University students are a transitional group from adolescence to early adulthood. This research was conducted to look at the behavior of eating fruits and vegetables in college students. The study used cross sectional with a quantitative approach with a total of 64 peopleThe five senses that transmit knowledge to the brain are the eyes. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education through video and leaflets media on fruit and vegetable consumption of changes. This study is one group pre-test post-test with the type of research pre experiment. Respondents are students of Colleges, the number of respondents as many as 64 respondents. Data were collected by questionnaire pre-test and post-test as well as the Food Frequency Questionnaire, and analyzed by Paired Samples T-test and Independent Sample T-test with alternative by Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney.

Abstract

Sejak 1 Januari 2014, pemerintah Indonesia menerapkan program jaminan kesehatan BPJS untuk memastikan dan mendukung layanan kesehatan. Di Puskesmas Desa Binjai, fasilitas kesehatan (peralatan dan bahan habis pakai) belum lengkap. Misalnya, unit gigi rusak atau tidak berfungsi dengan baik, kompetensi dokter gigi dan perawat gigi belum bekerja sama dengan baik, dan kurangnya pola komunikasi tenaga kesehatan terhadap pasien. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan delapan informan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fasilitas kesehatan di poli gigi dan mulut belum lengkap; dokter gigi dan perawat gigi memiliki SIK dan SIP, tetapi perlu diperpanjang; Puskesmas Desa Binjai tidak memiliki SOP khusus untuk poli gigi dan mulut; dan proses pelayanan gigi dan mulut pasien BPJS belum berjalan sesuai harapan karena tindakan yang belum diambil. Sangat diharapkan bahwa Puskesmas Desa Binjai segera memperbaiki fasilitas kesehatan dan melakukan pendataan petugas SIK dan SIP. Perencanaan program untuk depa harus mempertimbangkan petugas kesehatan poli gigi dan mulut untuk mengikuti kegiatan atau pelatihan agar mereka dapat memperbarui pengetahuan mereka sesuai dengan perkembangan saat ini
