Abstract

Abstract. Secondary data from the Center for Educational Assessment Departement of Education Shows the percentage of mastery of the material at the school level in High School/Madrasah Aliyah in Situbondo calculate the volume of material objects play in the area between the two curves when playing surround the  axis show the percentage of mastery of less then 60%. Based on the analysis of the data obtained it can be concluded that the lack of masteri is caused by several factor that is the method of teaching, teacher relations with studens, learning media, the state of the building, the method of learning student and teachers circumtances Key Words: identification, factors, low material

Abstract

Abstract. The purposes of ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, Satisfaction) learning model are improving motivation, achievement and result of student learning. Guided discovery method has characteristics to improve the student’s abstract minds. The research aims to know process and result of development of mathematics learning materials based on ARIAS learning model with guided discovery method at sub topic of circle at grade eight of Junior High School. Learning materials development model refers to 4D Thiagarajan models. The products of this research are lesson plan, student book, worksheet, and evaluation test. Based on validation process and tryout the learning materials can be concluded that the learning materials had been appropriate with validate, practice, and effective criteria. Abstract

Abstrac.: This research aims to determine the percentage of geometry questions for each van Hiele levels in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade, and to determine the percentage of geometry questions for each descriptors in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade based on van Hiele levels. Sources of data in the study include documents geometry questions in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade, written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih; and also Atik Wintarti et.al. To analyze the data used descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The result of the data analysis shows that are 1176 questions in the mathematics textbooks SMP written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih; and also written by Atik Wintarti et.al. From the results, the percentage of geometry questions for each van Hiele levels in the mathematics textbook written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih for Visualization, Analysis, Ordering, and Deduction are respectively 9%, 81.31%, 8.47%, and 0%. Then, in the SMP mathematics textbook written by Atik Wintarti et.al, there are 14,88% in the visualization level; 75,42% in the analysis level; 8,36% in the ordering level; and 0% in the deduction level. However, each SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade are equally dominated by Analysis level. Then, the geometry questions in the mathematics textbook written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih is dominated by descriptor 4.b and descriptor 9. But, in the SMP mathematics textbook written by Atik Wintarti et.al is dominated by descriptor 2. Key Words : textbook, geometry questions, van Hiele geometric thinking levels

Abstract

Abstract. Cooperative learning model make a match type with a task accompanied recitation method is one of the techniques in learning models that provide opportunities for students to work together with others in which the application using the card as a medium to organize student interaction patterns supported by administration duties along with responsibility in the classroom to strengthen learning materials. This research aims to determine the application of these learning to improve the activities and student learning outcomes in the subject learning grade X of broadcasting linear program at SMKN 1 Jember. This research is a classroom action research using a qualitative approach. The results showed increased activity and student learning outcomes. Student activity increased from the first cycle with the percentage 69.8% to 89.42% in the second cycle. While the learning outcomes of students also increased from the first cycle with the percentage 78.57% to 85.71% in the second cycle. Abstract

Abstract.Metacognitionis thestudents understanding of their weaknessesandstrengthsin learningandself-regulating during they are study, such asplanning, use andevaluationprocess. The research purposes are knowing process and result of development of instruments assessment junior high school students’ metacognition in solving mathematical story problems on the topic of pythagoras theorem in class viii. Instruments assessmentdevelopment model refers to Plomp model. Based on validation process and tryout the instruments assessment can be concluded that the learning sets had been appropriate with validate, reliable and practicecriteria. The result of the researchshows that the instruments satisfy the criteria of validity coefficient reaches 0,92, the reliability coefficient 0,8 andthe practicality percentage reaches 100 %. Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to know process and result of developing of mathematics learning aids based on creativity with realistic mathematics education approach for similarity sub topic at ninth grade junior high school. The research development modle refers to 4D Thiagarajan models. The subject of research is students of IX-A class SMPN 11 Jember in even semester academic year 2013-2014. The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, observation sheet of teacher and students activities, and observation sheet of character.The product of this research are lesson plan, studenthandbook, and worksheet.The validity of those product consecutively are 4; 4,5; 4,05. The average percentage of teacher activity is 82% and 90%, student activity is 82% and 80%.The result shows that the learning instruments qualifies validity, practical, but not effective criteria. The reason is not effective because creative character of the students only 41% and 31%. Keywords:Realistic Mathematics Education,Creative Character, Learning

Abstract

Abstract.The research aimed to know the level ofunderstanding ofjunior high school mathematicsteachers for assessment, the developmentassessment and the implementation ofassessment injunior high school mathematicsteachers in Tempeh Subdistrict. The research subject is six junior high school from eight junior high school in Tempeh Subdistrict. The data collection methods used in this research is questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. Based on research it shows thatthe level ofunderstanding ofjunior high school mathematicsteachers about assessment in Tempeh Subdistrict as much as 60,17%, 75,00% mathematicsteachershad developedassessment, and 53,91% mathematicsteachershadconducted assessmentin accordance with BSNP. Abstract

Abstract. In general, mathematics learning at schools is a teacher centered, so the students become less active in teaching-learning process. It also causes the low score of the student learning achievement. Therefore, it needs a development of learning by applying a problem posing approach in program linier topic to improve the student learning achievement of class XII A in SMA Darus Sholah 2013/2014 academic year. The research methods are documentation, observation, test and interview. The data which is analysed are teacher’s activities, students’ activities and students’ test result. Final result of this research is the increasing of students’ activities and learning in class XII A SMA Darus Sholah the improvements of students’ activities are indicated by the average score of 71,05% for the first cycle, 85,96% for the second cycle of the action research. While the students’ learning increased significantly from 52,63% in tne first cycle to 89,47% in the second cycle of action research. It can be concluded that the Problem Posing approach is effective to improve the student learning achievement of class XII A in SMA Darus Sholah 2013/2014 academic year.
