Abstract

The backround of research is still textual learning and limited learning media in Karanganyar Elementary School that affected to students learning outcomes. The aim of the study is to know the influence of CTL by using Monopoly game to the motivation and the science learning outcome. This study uses Quasy Experimental Research with pretest-posttest control group design. Data of the research was conducted by using multiple choice test and Questionnaire. The Data was analyzed by using descriptive analyzing, gain score and t-test. The result showed that : (1) there is the difference between the students’ learning outcomes in the teaching learning process through CTL by using Monopoly media and the students’ learning outcomes in the teaching learning process without Monopoly Media (N-Gain = 0,71); (2) there is the difference between the students’ learning outcomes in the teaching learning process through CTL by using Monopoly media and the students’ learning outcomes in the teaching learning process through CTL without Monopoly Media (tcount = 7,876 > ttable (2,042)), and The students’ learning motivation improvement of experimental class is higher than the control class, before treatment it was 51%, and after treatment it was 86%. (3) the result of Multiple linear regression test in the students’ science learning outcomes Colum was 0,000 and the students’ learning motivation Colum was 0,000. This significant result is lower than The significant 0, 05. It showed that there is effect of CTL Method by using Monopoly game media to the students’ motivation and Science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of PBL model by using the demonstration method on the problem-solving skills to elementary school students. The study applied quasy experimental research method with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was the fourth grade students of Diponegoro cluster in Kudus, Central Java in the academic year 2017/2018. The samples taken for this study were the fourth grade students of SD 1 Kajeksan and SD 2 Demaan with the total number of 30 students for each school. The sampling technique used in this study was Nonprobability Sampling technique. The data collection technique applied in this study was test in the form of essay, as well as non-test technique which consists of observation and documentation. The data were analyzed by using gain score and t-test. The results showed that there is significant influence of PBL model by using demonstration method to student problem solving ability, this is supported by N-Gain result = 0.59 that is categorized as medium category. Then, pretest-posttest results of problem-solving ability by using PBL model with the demonstration method were tvalue = 7.667. Furthermore, there was a difference betwen students' ability in solving the problems by using PBL model within and without demonstration method (tvalue (3,801) > ttable (1,672)). This is supported by the result of observation to the student engagement which was 81.11%. It indicates that the PBL model by using demonstration method affects the problem solving abilities.

Abstract

This writing explained about the social, economic, and political background around the local leaders which happened when there was political power change in harbors of Java north seashores throughout the 15th century. This explanation could make clear about the process of Islamic settle through the politic power shift from Hindu-Budha to Muslim leaders in Java north seashores to be something which was plausible. The above description has ignored the social, economic, and political contexts in the societies, where the king lives and leads. This description also assumed that it was not important about the marriage relationship among Muslim sellers with princesses and between infidel leaders with Muslim leaders’ daughter in other places. A special discussion should be made to make the religious and political change to be more made sense. The way was by looking at the religious change of the area leaders as the last process of Islamic political era. The roles of imam-mollah enabled them to have practical politic activity and have high position in the activity that was as king’s adviser. The role of imam-mollah as king’s adviser was seen as the arousing of big position and role of the Brahmin and social politic system of Hindu-Budha in Indonesia. The roles of imam-mollah in the golden era of Java north seashore compared with the Brahmin also needed special review. At the beginning of Muslim sellers came to Indonesia had relationship between the activities of trade, politic, and religion. The Muslim sellers had mutualism and volunteer trade relationship with the infidel leaders in north seashores. But, day by day, if a trade center got crowded and wealth, and the community and leaders there were Muslims, the surrounded leaders who want to have relationship with Muslim sellers in the trade center seemed to have psychology push to be Muslim.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the study implementation scientific approach to develop the active learning of science in early childhood. This research used a qualitative method to know the result of the research that can be described as factually and profound. For data collection was used interview, observation, and study the documentation by using an interactive data analysis. For the validity data, there is three kinds of triangulation was used a technique of triangulation, source of triangulation, and the theory of triangulation. The result of the research showed that to develop the science academy learning in early childhood should be implemented into five components scientific approach such as observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and networking. Through five scientific approach components the active learning of science that was seen in children were children bound actively during learning process, children bound in solving problem during experimenting, children were brave in questioning to the teacher, children were associating to the others friends related to the result of their experiment, children train themselves to solve their problem in their experimenting; then, they conclude the result based on their experiment. Based on the scientific approach, the active learning of science in early childhood developed well. Through the research, hopefully, it gave benefit to the society, such as enhancing their knowledge, especially in early childhood education. Also, the society was able to develop the potential of academic research, especially the active learning of science in early childhood.
