Abstract

Sea transportation is a major factor connecting the islands of Indonesia which has strategic and important value in supporting the sustainability of the national economy. Along with the government's policy on the sea highway program and the development of the domestic shipping industry, the growth of the commercial fleet, especially vessels, is currently experiencing rapid progress. In supporting the government program and the demand for reparation and procurement of new ships in domestic production, readiness is required from the shipyard. However, the current condition of the shipyard is only able to meet 83% of the demand for new shipbuilding so that the shipyard still needs to be developed in order to improve its capabilities, so that it can meet the needs and be able to carry out its functions in accordance with the progress of shipping technology. In this study discusses the strategy of developing shipbuilding using qualitative descriptive methods and quantitative SWOT analysis. In this case study shipyard development strategy by increasing the ability of shipyards to meet the demands of ship building by increasing supporting facilities and accompanied by increasing the ability of human resources in the mastery of science and technology. Besides also by conducting cooperation with the domestic shipping industry in the procurement of supporting partsKeywords: Shipyard, Maintenence, SWOT Analysis, Developmen Strategy

Abstract

Product defects are a natural thing in a production process, but it would be better to avoid them. XYZ Industries is a company that produces glassware in the form of the glass bowl. The production failure experienced by this company is still high at 3.1% of the total production while the defect target that the company wants is 2%. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of defects that occur in glass bowl products on the production floor based on the results of searches of literature studies and deep interviews with employees, get the risk of failure of the largest production process in the RPN (Risk Priority Number) value of the FMEA method then analyzed again using the FTA method and determine the proposed improvements needed based on the analysis of defects that occur in glass bowl products, thus minimizing product defects and increasing company profits. In this study using the method of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method to identify failures that occur and provide prevention solutions. Based on the results of data processing, the proposed improvements given to the company as a whole are the company in order to pay more attention to the maintenance of the machine so that the machine can avoid the failure of its function

Abstract

Presently, the rapidly increasing population growth has been shown to create the growing needs of sea transportation services, both for freight and passengers. The augmentation of sea transportation fleets causes the ever-increasing number of all types of ships and the vessel traffic congestion in many connected sailing lanes. The development of sea transportation media significantly affects the potency of sea pollution. Therefore, it requires an analysis of the development feasibility of the Reception Facility in Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya. The first analysis is by doing the evaluation of investment feasibility based on the law, market, technical and financial aspects. After that, the measurement is done by using the methods of Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Average Rate of Return (ARR), Profitability Index (PI) and investment risk analysis. In this research, the gained NPV is about Rp. 431.257.167, PP value about 8 years 9 months 26 days, IRR 22,695%, ARR 30,32%, PI about 1,39, so the infrastructure investment program of Reception Facility in Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya is feasible to be carried out. Abstract

Puslatdiksarmil is a military training and basic education center. To support the trainer in securing the grenadeduring the grenade throwing exercise, the author made "Design of Prototype Unmanned Grenade Tamer withWireless Control. This tool is used to assist the trainers in the implementation of handling unexploded grenades,by placing a detonator on the grenade then blasting. In the robot control application is very necessary ineveryday life and is very helpful in human activities that are dangerous and difficult to do by humans andtherefore we need an application that can control the robot remotely. In this Final Project, a robot has beendesigned that can be controlled remotely by air or wireless media as an application of a grenade tamer robot.Where the design of this robot will use an integrated robot with an actuator to drive the robot, a camera tomonitor the location of objects and its surroundings, and a wireless module that has been connected with the2.4 Ghz Tranciever so the robot can now be monitored remotely to perform operations. Keywords: Unmanned, Wireless, 2.4Ghz Frequency

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 requires that one must be able to work with increasingly sophisticated technological developments. The industrial revolution 4.0 emphasizes digital economic patterns, artificial intelligence, big data, robotic or known as the disruptive innovation phenomenon. The problem discussed in this study is how to determine the strategy for developing STTAL. The purpose of this study was to determine the best strategy for developing STTAL using the SWOT analysis method. The results of the study show that the development of STTAL to produce Human Resources that mastered the technology faced the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Namely: a). Increase the quantity and quality of laboratory facilities that are complete in stages according to the priority scale adjusting the available budget by means of regulation, cooperation, coordination and socialization to relevant stakeholders, b). Publication of lecturer and student research in national and international journals is one way to improve the ability and expertise to produce technological products of marine and maritime technology, c). Establish a curriculum for each Study Program based on IQF and lead to the science and technology fields of maritime and maritime technology, d). Establishing the ideal STTAL Organization will be able to support the operational education and development of new Cyber Study Programs.
