Abstract

This causal research aims to assess the direct and indirect effect of the leadership style, work environment, and employees’ work motivation on the job satisfaction of the employees’ of the Education Office of the DKI Jakarta Province. The data were collected from a randomly selected sample of 100 employees of the education of the DKI Jakarta Province of Rank (Golongan) III, through a three-month survey from March 2009 with a questionnaire consisting of questions with Liker scale choices. A path technique was employed to analyse the data descriptively and inferentially. The findings show (1) a direct effect of the leadership style on the employees’ work motivation, (2) a direct effect of the environment on the employees’ work motivation, (3) a direct effect of the leadership style on the employees’ job satisfaction, (4) a direct of the work environment on the employees’ job satisfaction, (5) a direct effect of the work environment on the employees’ job satisfaction, (6) an indirect effect of the leadership style on the employees’ job satisfaction, and (7) an indirect effect of the work environment on the employees’ satisfaction. These findings suggest that the leadership style, work environment, and work motivation are determining factors of the employees’ job satisfaction, hence the need to take them into consideration in the development of human resource.Keywords: leadership style, work environment, work motivation on the job satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract: The current study utilized causal technique of survey method and path analysis. The research analyzed the influence of one variable to another, both direct and indirect influence on the endogenous variables. The samples were 65 principals of Education Department in Jagakarsa district South Jakarta. The results suggested that there was direct influence of (1) the leadership on the trust at work, (2) the work cultures on the trust at work, (3) the leadership styles on the organizational commitment, (4) the work cultures on the organizational commitment, and the trust at work on the organizational commitment. The results of the study also suggested that leadership styles had indirect influence on the organizational commitment through the trust at work and the work cultures had indirect influence on the organizational commitment through the trust at work.Keywords: organizational commitment, work cultures, elementary schools.Absrak: penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei teknik kausal, dengan analisis jalur (path analysis). Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh satu variabel terhadap variabel lain, baik pengaruh langsung maupun tak langsung terhadap variabel endogen, dari sampel 65 orang kepala sekolah Dinas Pendidikan Kecamatan Jagakarsa Jakarta Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh langsung (1) kepemimpinan terhadap kepercayaan kerja, (2) budaya kerja terhadap kepercayaan kerja, (3) gaya kepemimpinan terhadap komitmen organisasi, (4) budaya kerja terhadap komitmen organisasi, (5) kepercayaan kerja terhadap komitmen organisasi. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh tidak langsung. Tetapi sebaliknya, gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap komitmen organisasi melalui kepercayaan kerja; dan budaya kerja berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap komitmen organisasi melalui kepercayaan kerja.Kata kunci: komitmen organisasi, budaya kerja, kepala SD.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to identify the influence of cooperative learning model of type numbered heads together (NHT) and self efficacy (SE) towards the understanding of mathematical concepts of State Junior High school students. This research uses experimental methods, namely by giving different treatment types on two groups of student. The analysis used in this study is a two-way ANOVA. Based on data analysis, we can conclude that there are: an influence of the cooperative learning model of type NHT towards student’s mastery of mathematical concepts, an influence of SE towards student’s mastery of mathematical concepts, and  an influence of the interaction between cooperative learning model of type NHT and SE towards student’s understanding of mathematical concepts. We hope that this study can be beneficial for further research to improve students’ mastery of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The performance of education office organizations was influenced by the behavior of its employees. This study aimed to determine the direct and indirect influence of organizational culture, leadership style, personality, and organizational justice towards the job performance of the employee education office in Jakarta. Research samples were 221 employees of the Jakarta Education Office. Data collection using questioner with the Likert scale, The results of the research there was a direct influence of leadership style towards organizational justice; Organizational culture on organizational justice; Personality towards organizational justice; Leadership style on job performance; Organizational culture towards job performance; Personality towards job performance, then organizational justice towards job performance, and personality through organizational justice towards job performance. It was concluded that the level of job performance was influenced by variations in leadership style, organizational culture, personality, and organizational justice.

Abstract

Natural science learning achievement is an essential factor in learning outcomes. This research investigated an experimental study that aimed to improve concept science test result in online learning through Jigsaw cooperative learning model and learning style. The research involved the sample of 80 students from junior high school in South Jakarta, Indonesia divided into two groups: the experimental class and the class control. Raw data were statistically analyzed using the two-way variance technique at the .05 significance level. The findings revealed an effect between cooperative learning on natural science learning achievement, learning interest in natural science learning achievement, and interaction between cooperative learning and learning interest in natural science learning achievement. As a result, cooperative learning type Jigsaw shows a significant impact and had a good test result on natural science learning achievement. Therefore, the research suggests that Jigsaw cooperative learning is well suited to use as a learning model among junior high school students based on effect size test results.

Abstract

The results of the mathematics learning of junior high school students have not been satisfactory. This is due to the low understanding of students' mathematical concepts. The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of cooperative learning model and learning style towards the understanding of the mathematical concepts of Junior High School students. The method is factorial experiments with 2 x 3 and sample of the study is 60 students of 8th grade junior high school. The analysis  results of variance (ANOVA) indicate the following: the use of cooperative learning model of type Student Team Achievement Division influenced the understanding of the mathematical concepts significantly, there is an  significant influence of the learning style towards an understanding of mathematical concepts, and there is also a significant influence of the interaction of cooperative learning model of type Student Team Achievement Division  and learning style towards the understanding of mathematical concepts. So it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model can improve understanding of students' mathematical concepts and learning styles is a individual differences of learning students in absorbing mathematics subject matter. We hope that this study can be beneficial for further research to improve student’s achievements in mathematics.

Abstract

This research was about school supervisors who play a strategic role in the management of human resources in the school environment. The study aims to determine the direct and indirect influences of organizational culture, personality, job satisfaction, and trust on the school supervisor's performance. The research samples were 180 supervisors of the school Education Office Special capital Jakarta. Data collection using questionnaires with a Likert scale, before analyzed the obtained data will be validated and reliably in respondents outside of the research sample. Data were analyzed through path analysis, as data analysis requirements were tests of normality, homogeneity, and linearity. Research results there was a direct influence of organizational culture, and personality on job satisfaction; Organizational culture, and personality on trust; Organizational culture, and personality on performance; Job satisfaction, and trust on performance, then there was an indirect influence of organizational culture through job satisfaction on the performance of school supervisor. The conclusion that the performance of the school supervisor at the Education Office of Jakarta was influenced by variations level of organizational culture, personality, and Trust, but the personality of school supervisors should have a priority attention to improving their performance.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of remuneration, personality, and job satisfaction on performance school principal, both directly and indirectly. Research using path analysis, a sample of randomly selected as many as 65 principal of elementary schools are civil servants in South Jakarta. The path analysis was done with some tests namely: Test of Normality of Error; Homogeneity Test; and significance and linearity test of regression coefficient. The results of the analysis found that there are: 1) direct influence of remuneration towards job satisfaction; 2) direct influence personality towards job satisfaction; 3) direct influence of regional allowances toward performance of principal; 4) direct influence of personality toward performance of principal; 5) direct influence job satisfaction toward performance of principal; 6) indirect influences of remuneration toward performance through job satisfaction; and 7) the indirect influence of personality toward performance of principal through job satisfaction. Therefore the variation improvements of principal performance are influenced by variation of the variable remuneration, personality, and job satisfaction

Abstract

This experiment is to know the understanding of the mathematical concept students are reviewed from a model of cooperative learning and motivational learning. The research Model uses a 2 x 2 factorial design. The research sample is 60 Grade 9 students from first junior high school, South Jakarta academic year 2018--2019. The two-way Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used in this study. The effectiveness of the learning management is determined by the calculation of effect size, while the results of the study are as follows: There is a influence of cooperative learning model interaction and motivation to learn to understand mathematical concepts, Influence of cooperative learning model to understand the concept of mathematics, the influence of motivation to learn to understand the concept of mathematics, and learning model of cooperative learning the type of Student Teams Achievement Devision (STAD) has High effectiveness towards understanding students ' mathematical concepts. With the conclusion that understanding the concept of mathematics in junior high school is influenced by the use of cooperative variation and learning motivation of students. This research is expected to be beneficial for further research to improve the mastery of students ' mathematical concepts.
