Abstract

This paper will answer the question, how is the process of making a Mining Business Permit (IUP) in Kep. Selayar seen from the perspective of good governance? And what are the people's responses to the policy? This research was conducted on Jampea Island, Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi using qualitative methods with data collection methods in the form of observation and interviews. The results of the study show that the government was questioned and decided the participation of the community in the IUP policy process in Selayar, until then it brought ripples from citizens who needed their rights violated.AbstrakTulisan ini akan menjawab pertanyaan, bagaimana proses kebijakan Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) di Kep. Selayar dilihat dari perspektif good governance? Dan bagaimana respon warga atas kebijakan tersebut? Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pulau Jampea, Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar, Sulawesi Selatan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, logika governance telah mengabaikan dan memutus peran serta masyarakat pada proses kebijakan IUP di Kepaluan Selayar, hingga kemudian mendatangkan riak-riak dari warga yang merasa hak-hak mereka dilanggar.
