Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to verify the correlation between Coworker Support and Career Commitment. There are two scales used in this research, i.e. Coworker Support Scale by Lane (2004) and Career Commitment Scale by Carson & Bedeian (1994). The participants of this research are 60 teachers of private high-school in Salatiga, Indonesia. Data analysis uses SPSS 16 Program. Statistic’s method to be used is pearson product moment correlation test. The result of statistic test shows that there is significant correlation between Coworker Support and Career Commitment. Key words: Coworker Support, Career Commitment, teachers at private high-school in Salatiga, Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the relationship between job stres and job satisfaction using TARSQ (Teacher Attribution of Responsibility for Stres Questionnaire)  adapted from McCormick and TJSQ (Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire) adapted from Lester. The participants were the teachers from private Junior High School Surakarta (SMP 3K Surakarta). There were 41 teachers involved in this study. The determinants of Job Stres that have been examined under this study include personal aspect, behavior aspect, cognitive aspect, physiology aspect, and organizational aspect. The aspect of Job satisfaction are challenging work, promotion and salary, working condition, colleagues, and leadership. Pearson Correlation analyses were used to investigate the hypothesized relationship. The result showed r = -0.392 with p = 0,011 < 0.05. There was a negative significant relationship between job stres and job satisfaction. Keywords: job stres, job satisfaction, TARSQ, TJSQ

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan kepuasan kerja karyawan di Hotel Pesonna Tugu Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data metode angket atau skala pengukuran psikologi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini 40 karyawan, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala komunikasi interpersonal yang di kembangkan oleh Jewel dan Siegel (1998), sedangkan skala kepuasan kerja menggunakan skala yang dikembangkan oleh DeVito (1997). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan kepuasan kerja karyawan dengan nilai r = 0,773 (p>0,05).Kata kunci: Komunikasi Interpsersonal, Kepuasan Kerja.AbstractThis study aims to find out to explore the relationship between interpersonal communication and the employee’s work satisfactin of Pesonna Tugu Yogyakarta Hotel. The method used in this research is quantitative data collection techniques or methods of measurement scale psychological questionnaires. Participants in this 40 employees, the data collection is done by using the scale of interpersonal communication uses scale that had developed by Jewel dan Siegel (1998), while scale of work satisfaction uses scale that had developed by DeVito (1997). Data analysis using product moment correlation method. The results showed no significant relationship between interpersonal communication with employee job satisfaction with the value r = 0,773 (p>0.05).Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Work Satisfaction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self – efficacy dengan kemampuan komunikasi pada karyawan di Hotel Pesonna Malioboro Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 64 karyawan, dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 58 orang karyawan. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada teori self – efficacy dari Bandura (1997) dan teori komunikasi dari Millard J. Bienvenu (1987). Reliabilitas skala self – efficacy sebesar 0,604 dan reliabilitas komunikasi sebesar 0,941. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat korelasi positif signifikan antara self – efficacy dengan kemampuan komunikasi (r = 0.629, p < 0.05).Kata Kunci: Self – Efficacy, KomunikasiABSTRACTThis research aims to know about the relationship between self – efficacy and communication skill of Pesonna Malioboro Hotel’s employee. Abstract

One of the effects of violence in courtship is that the victim experiences trauma. The purpose of this literature review is to explain how the REBT psychotherapy approach can be used to recover trauma from victims of dating violence. Through the literature review method, discussions about REBT therapy in the recovery of trauma victims are carried out. Trauma has a negative impact on victims, in this case adolescents because it will affect the decline in thinking, emotional, and behavioral. To overcome trauma, recovery is needed to cure victims of violence in courtship, so that they can live their lives normally again. Factors of thoughts, feelings, and behavior are fundamental to the approach with REBT. These three factors are related to disorders caused by trauma. The conclusion from the discussion shows that Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy can be used to recover trauma from survivors of violence in dating relationships.

Abstract

Research from National Commission on Elimination of Violence against Women found that dating violence was ranked second after domestic violence in terms of number of cases reported in 2018 in Indonesia. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) was one of the consequences that dating violence survivors experienced. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) had been proven effective to treat PTSD in intimate partner violence survivors. However, there was no prior research publication investigating the effectiveness of CBT for dating violence survivors in Indonesia. This research aimed to apply CBT to help treating PTSD symptoms in women with dating violence experiences. CBT was delivered individually for six sessions to four participants. This research used mixed-method design with quantitative and qualitative data collection and data analysis components. PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 was used to measure PTSD symptoms at pre- and post-treatment. The results showed that all participants had reduction in PTSD symptoms at post-treatment. However, two participants still met the criteria for PTSD because their post-treatment scores were still above remission cut-off scores. Future research can focus on helping survivors to gain resiliency, psychological well-being, self-esteem and regaining meaning of life back after having dating violence experiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara hardiness dengan burnout pada perawat di RS Roemani Semarang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala psikologi. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu skala yang diadaptasi oleh penulis berdasarkan skala Maslach Burnout Inventory yang dibuat oleh Maslach (1981) dengan nilai koefisien alpha = 0,865 dan skala yang kedua yaitu skala hardiness yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Maddi (2013) dengan nilai koefisien alpha = 0,869. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 40 perawat di ruang UGD dan ICU pada Rumah Sakit Roemani Semarang dan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Pengujian hipotesis dan korelasi antara hardiness dengan burnout menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Correlation Product Moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara hardiness dengan burnout pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Roemani Semarang (r= -0,545 dan p= 0,000 p< 0,05).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between workplace bullying with self-esteem. The research method that I use is quantitative method. The population of respondents was 148 employees. The research sample was taken from the total population (saturation sample) of 121 employees. The self-esteem scale is using from the Organization based on Self-esteem (OBSE) by Pierce (1989), and the workplace bullying is from the Negative Acts Questionnaire Revised (NAQ-R) by Einarsen (2009). Data analysis using Spearman rho technique with SPSS version 25. The results showed that there iss no correlation between workplace bullying and self-esteem (r = -0,168; P> 0.05). Meanwhile, the t-test results showed that there are significant differences in self-esteem based on gender.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between transactional leadership and work discipline at PT. MG Semarang. The subjects used in this study are employees who are still actively working at PT. MG Semarang. The population in the company is 100 employees and the sample to be used is 50 employees at PT. MG Semarang who had previously been willing to be a participant in this study. This subject was found from employees at PT. MG Semarang by taking data random sampling technique which is done by making a lottery with each name of the employee who came out who will get and fill out the questionnaire that has been provided in this study. The data scale collection method used by the author is by using the scale of transactional leadership by Robbins (2007) and work discipline by Rivai (2005). The data obtained were then performed statistical tests with correlation analysis with Spearman's rho between transactional leadership variables with work discipline. The results of the data obtained after statistical tests in this study are that there is no significant relationship between the variables of transactional leadership with work discipline, with an r value of 0.210; p> 0.05. The absence of a relationship between transactional leadership and work discipline can be interpreted, transactional leadership in PT. MG Semarang does not give a role in work discipline to its employees. Keywords: transactional leadership; work discipline

Abstract

Violence towards women in the personal realm continues to occur in all provinces in Indonesia. The phenomenon of violence in the personal realm is experienced more by women due to fear, guilt, shame, and feeling that they have no support socially or individually. This study aims to determine the forgiveness approach as a form of recovery for women who experience violence in the personal realm. This research is a theoretical study using secondary data. The results of this theoretical study show that victims who experience violence can be recovered through forgiveness approach to express forgiveness for perpetrators. Forgiveness can be done because the victims have motivation not to avoid and respond to acts of violence perpetrated by the perpetrators, and even continues to be motivated to do good things. If forgiveness is done sincerely, it can make easier for the victims to forgive themselves and others, otherwise forgiveness is difficult to do totally if the victims choose to take revenge and avoid the perpetrators.
