Abstract

Clustering is one of the important part in web usage miningfor the purpose of segmenting visitors. This action is very important for web personalization orweb modification. In this paper, we perform clustering of the web visitors using a combination of methods of hierarchical and non-hierarchical clustering toward web log data. Hierarchical clustering method used to determine the number of clusters, and non-hierarchical clustering method is used in forming clusters. The stages of cluster analysis are preceded by pre-processing the data and factor analysis. With this approach, the owner of the web is more effective at finding access patterns of web visitors and can have new knowledge about visitors’ segmentation. From the test applied on ITS’s web log data, 6 clusters of web visitors are resulted. Among the 6 cluster, cluster 3 has the biggest number of members. This information can be useful for web management to pay attention on members’ behavioral patterns of the 3rd cluster’s either to make personalization or modification on the web. The test results show the feasibility and efficiency of application of this method.

Abstract

Penyampaian informasi dan pengumuman di jurusan Teknologi Informasi Politeknik Negeri Padang masih menggunakan cara konvensional. Sehingga perlu dibangun informasi digital sebagai layanan informasi yang dapat menampilkan informasi secara menarik dan  modern. Salah satu aplikasi yang mendukung manajemen konten dan penjadwalan berbasis Web adalah Xibo. Digital Signage Xibo mendukung penuh semua klasifikasi media digital, termasuk text, still images, audio, animasi, video dan dapat menentukan dengan bebas jenis display apa yang akan disampaikan kepada audiens dan dapat menikmati konten yang berkualitas (media-rich content). Setelah dilakukan pengujian, layanan digital signage ini dapat menampilkan informasi jadwal kuliah, informasi dosen, pengumuman untuk mahasiswa, menampilkan video, animasi dan iklan-iklan edukatif lainnya . Kata kunci : Digital Signage, Xibo, Media Informasi Digital.

Abstract

Factor analysis is a multivariate method that is used to analyze correlation among indicator variables so that it can be mapped into some factors. Previous research has defined the importance of the role of a hyperlink from a website, but did not examine the most influential variables from some specified hyperlink variables. It is therefore necessary to obtain a factor analysis of the factors that affect the quality of a website from some specified hyperlink variables. Due to this analysis, top 25 university websites from webometrics of January 2011 edition rank have been selected as the research objects. The hyperlink data was obtained by utilizing two search engines, Google.com and Yahoo.com, then this hyperlink data were analyzed using factor analysis methods. The result should that the role of hyperlink total factor (0,254) and external hyperlinks factor (0,253) greatly affect the quality of a website on the review in terms of hyperlink perspective with analysis factor. This research also resulted in a new rank of university websites that can be used as one parametric for a good website's according to hyperlink analysis. The results of this analysis was tested at the level of correlation with parameters of size and visibility webometrics using Pearson correlation method with a highly significant result of 0.575.

Abstract

Deaf people are people who lose either their partial or complete hearing ability which will make the sense of hearing unusable. The problem encountered when meeting a deaf person is unable to communicate well. To solve this problem, it is necessary to build a virtual word application that is android based to help communicate with the deaf people. This app uses 3D virtual characters as a voice-translating medium into a sign language. The sign language is converted to 3D animation to make it easier to understand and attractive. The sign language system used in this application is the SIBI system (Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia). This application is built by using Unity 3D software with C # and Java programming language, while to create 3D animation is using Blender software. From the test results of this application, obviously it can facilitate the communication with the deaf people. Abstract

In the era of technological advancements, security systems are not only required to provide safe conditions but also provide easy access, monitors and remote control. Room insecurity such as theft or fire cases can occur especially in rooms that are not equipped with security systems and special safeguards. Based on this, it is necessary to develop a security system that can be accessed and monitored remotely and provides early warning of early indications of danger through a smartphone. System development is done through the stages of making software and hardware. The hardware consists of Arduino Mega 2560 to regulate the system, MySQL Server Database, CC3000 Wi-Fi Shield as a communication device between Arduino and the server, Limit Switch to detect forced push on the door, MQ-2 measures the presence of indoor gas leak, sensor DHT-11 to measure room temperature, the camera is VC0706 to capture images in the door area. Android application as a system interface to change key status and monitor the condition of the room. A warning notification of the gas leak danger indication is sent to the user's smartphone by displaying the gas content value. A warning message has a forced push on the door equipped with a feature to display the camera capture results. The final result of this research is that a room security system has been successfully established where door lock access and room monitoring can be done through an android application installed on a smartphone. The system can provide hazard warning messages properly.

Abstract

Patients with arrhythmia symptoms must undergo a healthy lifestyle and routinely conduct consultations and heart rate control with the doctor. The most important thing about this is the integrated health monitoring tool. In this study a portable heart rate monitoring tool is proposed for patients at risk of low-cost IoT-based with SMS alert system utilizing the OpenSID database. . Module ESP8266 Wi-Fi is used to communicate the web server gateway and pulse sensor to detect the heart rate which converted to Bit per Minute (BPM). Heart rate data is saved to the database server using TCP IP communications. Patients and doctors can see heart rate information trough the website in real-time. Alert system will send notification information via short message service (SMS ) to doctors, person in charge and family if heart rate below 60 BPM and above 100 BPM. the time needed for sending SMS is about 7 to 8 seconds. Test results show the whole system is running well. This tool is expected can accompany the risk patients do their activities safely and both doctors and families easier to supervise the patients.

Abstract

The feasibility of a home for family residence is the basis for growing and developing a better family life. The roof, floor, and walls are data on the indicator of the feasibility of the house at the time of the survey. The need for a system that can display RTLH locations in the Web Geographic Information System (WebGIS) accompanied by detailed RTLH data and photos. This study explains how the system tracks the location of RTLH survey data officers using Android GPS, then represents it on WebGIS. The tracking method starts when the clerk fills out the home data input form via the Android application. Location coordinates in the form of latitude and longitude will be detected automatically and become input parameters accompanied by photos and RTLH data details. Offline data will be stored in SQLite then sent to MySQL via database synchronization while online. The purpose of this research is to establish a location tracking system for RTLH survey officers to facilitate the validation process of data suitability between data and facts in the field. This system managed to track the location of RTLH survey officers by being marked by the appearance of markers on the Google Map on the WebGIS application. From a total of 14,949 houses in Kota Solok in December 2018, there were 938 RTLH. From 938 RTLH, the coordinates of the location of latitude and longitude are 100%.

Abstract

A multisensor control system based on the LabVIEW myRIO programming has been created for monitoring indoor air quality. The purpose of this research is to create a system to monitor and control the levels of CO and CO2 in the room so that it remains within the threshold of healthy air and does not endanger users. The research phase began with the manufacture of a multisensor circuit and a relay module for the air purifier system and connected to the input and output ports of the myRIO module as a processor programmed with LabVIEW. The process of testing the multisensor response and the activation response of the air purifier on-off is carried out in open areas and indoors by adding artificial air pollution. Besides, air quality control and monitor is also carried out when the level of CO or CO2 gas exceeds the threshold by increasing the number of users and set the air conditioner activation. From the results and data analysis, it was found that the system could be used as a monitor and control the indoor air quality as expected. The range of CO sensor readings is 7.46 ppm - 27.65 ppm and CO2 296.8 ppm - 1190.5 ppm. Air purifier on-off control response time to change of CO and CO2 are 7 and 6 seconds. The air purifier system is able to clean indoor air with a long activation time depending on the number users and the room air conditioner activation settings.

Abstract

This study aims to identify chicken egg embryos with the concept of image processing. This concept uses input and output in images. Thus the identification process, which was originally carried out using manual observation, was developed by computerization. Digital images are applied in identification by various image preprocessing, image segmentation, and edge detection methods. Based on these three methods, image processing has three processes: image grayscaling (convert to a grayscale image), image adjustment, and image enhancement. Image adjustment aims to clarify the image based on color correction. Meanwhile, image enhancement improves image quality, using histogram equalization (HE) and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization methods (CLAHE). Specifically for the image enhancement method, the CLAHE-HE combination is used for the improvement process. At the end of the process, the method used is edge detection. In this method, there is a comparison of various edge detection operators such as Roberts, Prewitt, Sobel, and canny. The results of edge detection using these four methods have the SSIM value respectively 0.9403; 0.9392; 0.9394; 0.9402. These results indicate that the SSIM values ​​of the four operators have the same or nearly the same value. Thus, the edge detection method can provide good edge detection results and be implemented because the SSIM value is close to 1.00 (more than 0.93). Image segmentation detected object (egg and embryo), and the continued process by edge detection showed clearly edge of egg and embryo.

Abstract

The need for a high resolution to the thermal image is urgent and essential. The high resolution of the thermal image can give accurate information on the heat distribution map of the objects. The accurate heat distribution maps can give accurate temperature information. This accurate temperature measurement is used for measuring many objects such as electric motors, engines, the human body, and so on—this information is used to detect the anomalies of the object to find the damaged parts. The anomalies are considered damaged parts found in solar panels, agricultural fields, buildings, bridges, etc. As the super-resolution of thermal images is very important, generating them is compulsory. The camera for obtaining super-resolution thermal images is rare, not available in the common market. Furthermore, this kind of device is costly too. Therefore not all the users, such as farmers or technicians, can have them. In order to handle the problem, the proposed method has the purpose of generating super-resolution thermal images economically and is more accessible through the deep learning method. The dataset is taken from the solar panel. The results show that the proposed method can handle the low-resolution problem of thermal images.
