Abstract

Guru dituntut untuk selalu belajar dan mampu menjadikan pembelajaran bermakna dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dapat menjadikan motivasi dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik menjadi kurang. Sarana dan prasarana pendukung pembelajaran seperti laboratorium yang tidak maksimal menjadikan kompetensi yang dimiliki peserta didik menjadi rendah, Berdasarkan kondisi nyata di lapangan, tim civitas akademika FKIP Universitas Jambi memberikan alternatif berupa pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dalam bidang ICT sebagai akses sumber belajar praktikum menggunakan aplikasi PhET Simulation. Kegiatan persiapan meliputi tahap analisis masalah di SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi dan mempersiapan materi pelatihan. Kegiatan pelaksanaan meliputi dari penyampaian materi, cara menggunakan aplikasi PhET Simulation, dan diskusi. Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui ketercapaian dan kebermafaatan pelatihan. Berdasarkan pelatihan yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi PhET Simulation. Ketercapaian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan berdasarkan isian angket adalah 4,52 dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' 4C skills by applying a chemistry learning model assisted by chemo entrepreneurship media. 4C skills or 21st century skills include communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The subjects of this study were students of the Jambi University Chemical Education Research Program in the psychology of learner development course class B in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data on 4C skills were collected using a questionnaire before and after the application of a project-based learning model supported by chemo entrepreneurship media. Data related to 4C skills were then tested using paired sample t-test. The significance test results with paired sample t-test showed a value of 0.00. These results are less than 0.05 so that this study shows the application of project-based learning models assisted by chemo enterpreneurship media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of implementing a project-based learning model by utilizing natural materials to improve students' 4C skills. 4C skills include critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity skills. The sample used in this study were students who attended the R-001 class of natural material chemistry lectures in the 2023/2024 academic year of the Jambi University Chemistry Education Study Program. This research is a quasi-experimental type research with a one group pretest-posttest scheme design. Data on 4C skills were obtained using a questionnaire before and after the application of the project-based learning model by utilizing natural chemistry. Data on 4C skills were then subjected to paired samples t test. The results of the paired samples t test significance test showed a value of 0.00. These results are smaller than 0.05, so this study shows that the application of the project-based learning model by utilizing natural materials can improve students' 4C skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah melatih keterampilan menulis karya tulis ilmiah mahasiswa. Kegiatan pelatihan diikuti oleh 26 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi semester 6 yang dilaksanakan di ruang L-102 FKIP. Kegiatan pelatihan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap perencanaan terdiri dari kegiatan menganalisis permasalahan, menentukan metode pelatihan dan mempersiapkan materi pelatihan. Tahap pelaksanaan terdiri dari menyampaikan materi pelatihan, membuat karya tulis ilmiah, presentasi hasil. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman dan ketercapaian dari kegiatan pelatihan. Nilai ketercapaian kegiatan pelatihan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah berdasarkan isian angket mahasiswa sebesar 4,60 dengan kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test (1) the effectiveness of the application of the project-based learning model on improving critical thinking skills (2) the effectiveness of the application of the project-based learning model on improving student creativity skills. The subjects used in this study were students who took the class B media script writing course at the Yogyakarta State University Educational Technology Study Program in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research with a one group pretest-posttest scheme design. Data on students' critical thinking skills and creativity were obtained using a questionnaire before and after the application of the project-based learning model in lecture activities. Data on critical thinking skills and student creativity were then tested using paired samples t test. The results of the paired samples t test found critical thinking ability and creativity each showed a value of 0.00. In this study, it can be concluded that (1) the application of the project-based learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills (2) the application of the project-based learning model is effective in improving students' creativity.

Abstract

Tujuan – Keterampilan mahasiswa dalam penulisan suatu karya ilmiah harus dimaksimalkan sejak awal perkuliahan. Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis suatu karya ilmiah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap fenomena yang terjadi di lingkungan sekitar dan meningkatkan keterampilan menyampaikan suatu gagasan dalam bentuk tulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan pelatihan perlu dilakukan sebagai suatu upaya untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam menghasilkan suatu karya ilmiah berupa artikel dan mempublikasikan suatu hasil penelitian ke dalam jurnal terindeks garuda. Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah meningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mempublikasikan artikel ke dalam jurnal terindeks garuda. Metode – Kegiatan pelatihan peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mempublikasikan artikel ke dalam jurnal terindeks garuda terdiri dari tiga tahap kegiatan yaitu persiapan kegiatan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi yang berjumlah 26 mahasiswa. Adanya peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan pelatihan diperoleh dari sebaran angket yang diisi oleh mahasiswa peserta pelatihan untuk mengetahui tingkat peningkatan dan ketercapaian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan. Hasil – Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mempublikasikan hasil artikel seperti cara mengoperasikan laman garuda, mengetahui jurnal yang terindeks garuda, cara mengunggah artikel ke dalam jurnal jurnal yang terindeks garuda. Berdasarkan hasil isian angket pada kegiatan evaluasi, diperoleh kriteria sangat baik dengan nilai ketercapaian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan sebesar 4,33.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar memegang peranan penting dalam keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam belajar. Penggunaan media yang kurang mampu membangkitkan semangat belajar dapat menjadikan motivasi belajar menjadi rendah dan berdampak pada tingkat keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa. Penerapan aplikasi quizwhizzer merupakan fokus penelitian untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji optimalisasi aplikasi quizwhizzer dalam kegiatan perkuliahan terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Biokimia II kelas R-001. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jambi yang mengikuti perkuliahan Biokimia II kelas R-001 tahun akademik 2023/2024. Teknik pengumpulan data motivasi belajar menggunakan angket. Pengisian angket motivasi belajar dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan aplikasi quizwhizzer dalam perkuliahan. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji paired samples t test. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan aplikasi quizwhizzer dalam kegiatan perkuliahan efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Biokimia II kelas R-001.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the quality of virtual laboratory media utilized for developing applications on acid-base materials. This is a development study that employs the 4 D approach, which consists of the steps of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments used to assess the quality of the virtual laboratory media developed were open and closed questionnaires using a Likert scale. Virtual laboratory media products that have been developed are assessed by media experts, material experts, and field trials on a limited and small scale. The limited and small scale trial samples were Jambi University Chemistry Education Study Program students consisting of 5 students in the limited scale test and 15 students in the small scale trial. The results of this study consist of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data in the form of input and suggestions from media experts, material experts, and field trials who have stated that the virtual laboratory media developed has been declared suitable for use. Quantitative data is converted into a level of quality of virtual laboratory media based on assessments from limited and small-scale field tests. The results of the quantitative assessment on a small scale obtained an average of 87.26%, while on a limited scale obtained an average of 91.84%.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine whether team games tournaments supported by the quizizz application improved student learning independence. Students from the Jambi University Chemistry Education Study Program took courses in chemistry mathematics in classes A and B in the 2023/2024 academic year. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent group design, with class A as the control class and class B as the experimental class. A questionnaire was used to collect data on students' learning independence both before and after the team games event that was made possible by the Quizizz application to make sure the data from both groups were homogeneous and normally distributed, the initial independent data from both sample classes were checked for both normality and homogeneity. The independent-samples t test is then used to compare data on students' learning independence before and after the team games tournament with the use of the Quizizz application. A significant value of 0.005 in the independent-samples t test results indicated that there was an increase in student learning independence following the implementation of the team games tournament supported by the Quizizz application. Based on these findings, the study came to the conclusion that enhancing student learning independence might be achieved through the use of the Quizizz app in conjunction with a team games event.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills and student collaboration through practicum learning with the discovery learning model. The samples used in this study were students of the Jambi University Chemical Education Study Program who took the inorganic chemistry practicum course in the 2022/2023 academic year, class R-002 as the experimental class and class R-004 as the control class. This research is a type of experimental research with a quasi-experimental model. Research data regarding critical thinking skills and student collaboration were collected using a questionnaire. Data on critical thinking skills and collaboration were obtained twice, namely pretest and posttest. The data obtained were then analyzed using the manova test. The results obtained in this study are that there is an increase in critical thinking skills and student collaboration through practicum learning with a significant discovery learning model.
