Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peranan pengetahuan awal, self esteem matematis dan kemampuan berpikir logis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi sekaligus sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan IPA FKIP Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa tahun pertama berjumlah 34 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik simple random. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pengetahuan awal dan kemampuan berpikir logis serta skala self esteem matematis. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan analisis statistic deskriptif untuk mengetahui gambaran ketiga variabel tersebut dan analisis regresi ganda serta anova satu jalur untuk melihat pengaruh variable pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis serta analisis anova satu jalur untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir logis ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data deskriptif didapatkan gambaran bahwa (1) pengetahuan awal mahasiswa 35% termasuk kategori tinggi, 41% kategori sedang dan 24% kategori rendah; (2) self esteem matematis 29% kategori tinggi dan rendah serta 41% kategori sedang; (3) kemampuan berpikir logis 24% kategori tinggi, 65% kategori sedang dan 12% kategori rendah. Sedangkan berdasarkan analisis regresi dan anova satu jalur menunjukkan bahwa (1) terhadap hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis; (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir logis mahasiswa ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis.This study aims to assess the role of prior knowledge, mathematical self-esteem and logical thinking skills. This study is a correlational study with a quantitative approach. The population at the same sample in this study were all students of the Department of Science Education University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa first year amounted to 34 students were taken by simple random. Data collection technique used tests of prior knowledge, tests of logical thinking and mathematical self esteem scale. Analysis of the data in this research is the analysis of descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis and one way ANOVA. Based on the results of descriptive data analysis, it was shown that (1) the prior knowledge of students categorized as high 35%, as midde 41% and as low 24%; (2) 29% mathematical self esteem high and low categories and 41% middle category; (3) the logical thinking high category 24%, middle catehory 65% and lower catgeory 12%. While based on regression analysis and one way ANOVA shows that (1) the significant relationship between prior knowledge and mathematical self esteem to logical thinking skills; (2) there are significant differences logical thinking skills of students in terms of prior knowledge and mathematical self esteem.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between self-concept and mathematics anxiety towards the freshmen learning results. The method used is the correlation method which was aimed to see how strong and how much influence of self-concept and mathematics anxiety with students’ learning results. The population in this study were all students of mathematics education academic year 2013/2014, the study sample was taken by purposive sampling technique as many as 88 students who took the Calculus I course. The instrument used in this research is scale mathematical self-concept and mathematics anxiety scale. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between self-concept and anxiety towards math-ematics learning outcomes of students. Research showed that there was a positive and sig-nificant relationship between self-concept and anxiety mathematical mathematics with stu-dent results.Keywords : Self Concept, Anxiety Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan  instrumen kecakapan matematis siswa dalam konteks kearifan lokal budaya Banten pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar dan mengetahui efek potensial soal kecakapan matematis berbasis kearifan lokal budaya Banten. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau development research tipe development study. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII.B MTs Negeri 1 Kota Serang berjumlah 30 orang semester ganjil TA 2017/2018 yang terlibat dalam menyelesaikan instrumen kecakapan matematis dalam konteks kearifan lokal budaya Banten. Teknik analisis data dalam  penelitian ini adalah dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskipsikan dan menganalisis data validasi ahli dan data kepraktisan instrumen yang didapat berdasarkan temuan selama  small group mengerjakan instrumen. Sedangkan Analisis kuantitatif digunakan digunakan untuk mengetahui kevalidan soal yang meliputi validitas butir soal dan reliabilitas. Penilaian terhadap kualitas jawaban siswa dengan mengacu pada pedoman penskoran kecakapan matematis. Hasil dari analisis  digunakan untuk merevisi soal-soal yang dibuat oleh peneliti. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan soal kecakapan matematis berbasis kearifan lokal budaya Banten yang valid pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar sebanyak 19 butir soal berbentuk uraian, (2) Soal kecakapan matematis berbasis kearifan lokal budaya Banten yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial yang baik terhadap hasil tes kecakapan matematis siswa, ditandai dengan hasil tes kecakapan matematis siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik. Kata kunci : pengembangan instrumen, kecakapan matematis, budaya lokal BantenThis research aims to generating instrument mathematical skills of students in the context of Banten local culture knowledge on materials room flat side and knowing about the potential effects of mathematical prowess Banten culture based on local wisdom. This research type is a development research in development study. Subjects in this study were all students in grade VIII.B MTs Negeri 1 Serang City were 30 first semester 2017/2018 involved in solving mathematical prowess instruments in the context of indigenous culture Banten. Data analysis techniques in this study is the qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis is used to describe and analyze the data expert validation and data obtained practicality instruments based on findings during small group working on the instrument. While the use of quantitative analysis is used to determine the validity of the question which includes the validity and reliability problems. Assessment of the quality of students' answers by referring to the scoring guidelines mathematical prowess. The results of the analysis are used to revise the problems created by the researcher. From this study it can be concluded that (1) This research has resulted in a matter of skill mathematically based on local wisdom culture of Banten valid on material geometrical flat side in 19 items amount in the form of description, (2) Problem prowess mathematically based on local wisdom culture of Banten developed have good potential effect on students 'mathematical proficiency test results, marked by students' mathematical proficiency test results are included in both categories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran animasi PowToon pada mata pelajaran matematika di kelas IV, khususnya materi keliling dan luas bangun datar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4-D (define, design, development, and disseminate). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Karangtumaritis yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian didapatkan, 1) skor rata-rata dari validasi ahli dengan persentase sebesar 88% yang termasuk dalam kategori “sangat layak”; 2) skor rata-rata kepraktisan dengan persentase sebesar 93,33% yang termasuk dalam kategori “sangat praktis”; 3) skor rata-rata dari respon siswa dengan persentase sebesar 94,73% yang termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”; 4) skor rata-rata dari post test sebesar 76,14 yang termasuk dalam kategori baik sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran animasi PowToon dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa kelas IV mengenai mata pelajaran matematika pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar.This research aims to develop PowToon animation learning media on mathematical subjects in grade IV, especially on the material circumference and area of plane. This research was the kind of Research and Development (R&D) using the 4-D model (define, design, development, and disseminate). The subject of this research was the grade IV SDN Karangtumaritis with totalling 22 students. Data collected with the tests, observation, question form, and documentation. Data analysis was done with a descriptive analysis. The research results obtained, 1) the average score of validation experts with percentage of 88% that are included in the category of "highly feasible"; 2) the average score of practicality with a percentage of 93,33% is included in the category of "very practical"; 3) score the average of the percentage of students with response 94,73% are included in the categories "excellent"; 4) the average score of the post test of 76,14 are included in the categories “good” so it can be concluded that the PowToon animation learning media can give insight to grade IV on subjects of mathematics on the material circumference and area of plane.

Abstract

This research aims to develop mathematics student activity sheets on cube and rectangle box volume material, to determine the quality of mathematicsl activity sheets developed and to find out the user's response to mathematics activity sheets, and to understand students' understanding after using a sheet of mathematics activity. The development research method used in this study refers to the research design of the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan which consists of 4 stages of development namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of this study were 30 fifth grade students at Panancangan Elementary School 2. The results of the study were (1) the average level of feasibility of the mathematics activity sheet reached 84.6% which was included in the category of "very feasible", obtain an average percentage of 97% which is included in the category of "very good", (3) the teacher's response to the sheet of mathematics activity gets an average percentage of 83% which falls into the category of "very good" and (4) understanding test students obtain an average value of 86.03 which shows students' understanding in the "very good" category so that it can be concluded that the mathematics activity sheet was successfully developed into a better teaching material because it has been prepared according to the design and is able to provide learning benefits.

Abstract

Performa mahasiswa memiliki peran penting dalam menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas. Kurang optimalnya performa mahasiswa terlihat dari hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial rata-rata sekitar 70 dan masih ada yang mendapatkan nilai kurang dari 70 sekitar 38%, serta kurangnya kemandirian belajar mahasiswa. Oleh karenanya optimalisasi performa mahasiswa perlu dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan optimalisasi performa mahasiswa melalui penggunaan bahan ajar komputasi matematika berbantuan software Mathematica. Kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dijadikan sebagai sasaran performa mahasiswa yang akan dioptimalkan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang yang berjumlah 24 mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial menggunakan bahan ajar Komputasi Matematika Berbantuan Software Mathematica. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah one-group pretest-posttest design. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan bahan ajar untuk kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa melalui uji t. Rata-rata peningkatan persentase kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa secara berturut-turut sebesar 7% dan 24%.Students’ performance has an important role in producing quality graduates. Less optimal students’ performance can be seen from student learning outcomes in Differential Equation courses an average of around 70 and there are still those who score less than 70 about 38%, and lack of students’ self regulated learning. Therefore, optimizing students’ performance needs to be done. The purpose of this study is to obtain the optimization of students’ performance using computational mathematics teaching materials assisted by Mathematica software. Self regulated learning and student learning outcomes are targeted as students’ performance to be optimized. This research was conducted in the Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang, totaling 24 students in the Differential Equation course using Mathematica Software Computational Mathematics teaching material. This research is a quasi-experimental research with the experimental design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results obtained from this study are that there are significant differences between before and after the use of teaching materials for self-regulated learning and student learning outcomes through t-test. The average increase in the percentage of self-regulated learning and student learning outcomes are 7% and 24%, respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan learning management system (LMS) berbasis smartphone  sebagai media pembelajaran matematika. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE yaitu Analisis, Desain, Development, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Adapun langkah-langkah yang dilakukan yaitu Analisis terhadap keadaan sekolah dan menemukan potensi serta masalah yang ada mengenai media pembelajaran, mendesain media pembelajaran sesuai dengan hasil analisis, mengembangkan hasil desain yang telah dibuat, implementasi terhadap media pembelajaran kepada para ahli yaitu ahli media pembelajaaran dan ahli Pendidikan matematika, serta evaluasi media pembelajaran yang telah layak menurut para ahli kepada siswa serta praktisi yaitu guru. Untuk melihat kelayakan dari media pembelajaran dilakukan validasi produk awal media pembelajaran. Pada tahap implementasi dilakukan validasi produk yang telah dibuat, adapun tingkat kualitas media pembelajaran berdasarkan penilaian terhadap media pembelajaran: 1) Ahli Media Pembelajaran diperoleh persentase 84% dengan kategori sangat baik, 2) Ahli Pendidikan Matematika diperoleh persentase 92,72% dengan kategori sangat baik. Efektifitas media pembelajaran  berdasarkan evaluasi media pembelajaran oleh siswa serta praktisi yaitu guru, adapun hasil yang didapatkan adalah 1) Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran diperoleh persentase 87,91% dengan kategori sangat baik, 2) Hasil praktisi guru diperoleh persentase 87,86%.This study aims to develop a smartphone-based learning management system (LMS) as a medium for learning mathematics. The development model used is the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The steps taken are Analysis of the state of the school and finding potential and existing problems regarding learning media, designing learning media in accordance with the results of the analysis, developing the design results that have been made, implementation of learning media to experts namely learning media experts and math education experts, as well as evaluation of instructional media that are appropriate according to experts to students and teachers. To see the feasibility of learning media, the initial product learning media validation is done. At the implementation stage, product validation has been carried out, as for the level of quality of learning media based on the assessment of learning media: 1) Learning media experts obtained a percentage of 84% with very good categories, 2) Mathematics education experts obtained a percentage of 92.72% with very good categories. The effectiveness of learning media is based on the evaluation of instructional media by students and teachers, while the results obtained are 1) Students' responses to learning media obtained a percentage of 87.91% with very good categories, 2) Results of teacher practitioners obtained a percentage of 87.86%

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning video based videoscribe applications on Social Science with the topic of natural phenomena. The research method used is research and development method with stages: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product testing (limited trial). To test the feasibility of this video learning then tested the validation of experts conducted by material experts, media experts, and pedagogical experts. After the validation test by the expert team, then the product test (limited trial) with the subject of the research is the 43 students of class VI A SDN Panancangan 2. The results of the material expert test show that this video learning obtained an average score of 82.85% with the a very feasible category. The result of the media expert test shows that this video learning obtained an average score of 88.34% with a very feasible category. The results of the pedagogical expert test show this video learning obtained an average score of 85.83% with a very feasible category. The product trial results (limited trial) obtained an average grade of 90.52% with a very good category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that learning video based on the application of videoscibe very feasible for use in Social Science on the topic of natural phenomenon in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop supporting teaching materials, namely student worksheets in fourth grade of mathematics subjects, especially about the perimeter and area of square, rectangular and triangle. The type of this research is using Research and Development (RnD) that using the 4D model (Four D Model) (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The subjects of this study were 1 teacher and 25 fourth grade students at SDN Serang 02. Data in this study were collected by tests, questionnaires, and documentations. Data analysis carried out is qualitative and quantitative. The results of the study obtained an average value of expert validation with an average score of 86.5% and included a very feasible category, the average value of teacher responses to worksheets was 86.2% with a very good category and the average response value of students was 86, 1% with a very good category and an average comprehension test score of 81.4 with a very good understanding category. Based on these data it can be concluded that the mathematical worksheet oriented scientific approach can be used in learning because it is considered feasible to be used as supporting teaching material in mathematics learning and is able to facilitate students' understanding of the material "perimeter and area of square, rectangular and triangle"
