Abstract

Abstract: The building should be able to provide a comfortable space for users to avoid outside unfavorable climate, so that the activities in it can run optimally. The comfort aspect is one of the important factors in special worship in it. Al-Ahdhar Mosque is a mosque designed by architect Nataneka. This mosque has large openings so that natural lighting and natural ventilation can enter the building. However, it needs to be investigated whether this large opening is enough to influence the lighting conditions and conditions of the Al-Ahdhar mosque. This research was also conducted to find out the relationship between natural lighting and natural ventilation produced and to find out the opinions of respondents to the thermal comfort of the Al-Ahdhar mosque. The method used in this study is field measurements and observations which are then processed quantitatively. The results showed that natural lighting at Al-Ahdhar mosque was 180 lux on the 1st and 128th floors of lux on the 2nd floor, which meant that natural lighting in this mosque still did not meet the standards of 200 lux. Thermal conditions at Al-Ahdhar mosque, the lowest temperature of 240C is found in areas that have openings of 34%. While 80% openings produce temperatures that tend to be higher at 29.20C to 29.60C. Larger openings do not necessarily produce good natural lighting and air conditioning conditions. But keep in mind the location of openings, orientation of openings, and types of openings. The bigger the openings will also include large solar radiation as well.Keywords: natural lighting; natural ventilation; thermal conditions; mosqueAbstrak: Bangunan sebaiknya dapat memberi ruang beraktivitas yang nyaman kepada pengguna agar terhindar dari iklim luar yang tidak menguntungkan, sehingga aktivitas di dalamnya dapat berjalan dengan optimal. Aspek kenyamanan merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam kekhusukan beribadah di dalamnya. Masjid Al-Ahdhar merupakan masjid yang didesain oleh arsitek Nataneka. Masjid ini memiliki bukaan yang cukup besar sehingga pencahayaan alami dan penghawaan alami dapat masuk ke dalam bangunan. Namun, perlu diteliti apakah bukaan yang besar ini cukup berpengaruh terhadap kondisi pencahayaan dan kondisi penghawaan pada masjid Al-Ahdhar. Penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pencahayaan alami dan penghawaan alami yang dihasilkan serta mengetahui pendapat responden terhadap kenyamanan termal masjid Al-Ahdhar. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengukuran lapangan dan observasi yang kemudian diolah secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencahayaan alami pada masjid Al-Ahdhar adalah sebesar 180 lux pada lantai 1 dan 128 lux pada lantai 2 yang berarti pencahayaan alami pada masjid ini masih belum memenuhi standar yaitu sebesar 200 lux. Kondisi thermal pada masjid Al-Ahdhar, suhu terendah yaitu sebesar 240C didapatkan pada area yang memiliki bukaan 34%. Sedangkan bukaan 80% menghasilkan suhu udara yang cenderung lebih tinggi yaitu sebesar 29,20C sampai 29,60C. Bukaan yang semakin besar belum tentu menghasilkan kondisi pencahayaan alami dan penghawaan alami yang baik. Namun perlu diperhatikan letak bukaan, orientasi bukaan, dan jenis bukaan. Semakin besar bukaan juga akan memasukkan radiasi matahari yang besar pula.Kata Kunci: pencahayaan alami; penghawaan alami; kondisi termal; masjid

Abstract

Blok M Plaza Mall in the middle of Blok M in South Jakarta, surrounded by various modes of transportation, Blok M Terminal, and Blok M MRT Station, make Blok M Plaza mall as a mall characterized by TOD (Transite oriented development) building. Related to a very strategic location, the Blok M Plaza mall became a mall in Jakarta with a busy number of visitors. The crowd at Blok M Plaza mall was interesting to be investigated to find out the effectiveness of emergency evacuation facilities and routes inside the Blok M Plaza mall. This research was conducted on several main mall floors, namely lower ground, upper ground, 1st floor, 2-5th floor, and 6th floor. The method used uses quantitative methods and refers to evaluative methods. Data collection using observations and questionnaires. Data are juxtaposed to get the results of a comparison between observational data  with  questionnaire  data  about  visitors'  perceptions  about  the  path  and emergency evacuation facilities. The results, it was concluded: of the nine aspects used as the object of observation, 53% were effective more than the standard, and 33% were effective according to the reference standard for the effectiveness of the path and emergency evacuation facilities.

Abstract

The abundance of solar light in tropical countries is the advantage of the utilization of solar energy. Increasingly expensive electricity forces buildings to use passive ventilation as building coolers. One of them is the use of the stack effect through the solar chimney. The absence of residential buildings that use the solar chimney as part of a passive ventilation system makes the need for prototypes for residential buildings. The application of solar chimney to homes in Jakarta is something new. Six types of the solar chimney have been tested on a prototype, one-story residential houses in Jakarta. The location was assumed to be in the densely populated area of South Jakarta. Wind velocity ambient data using Rubber locations. Using Ansys 16.0, simulations have been carried out, and solar chimney with double-full roof collector was able to induce a wind velocity of 0.41 m/s on average

Abstract

Skylight sebagai salah satu jenis bukaan atas dapat menjadi salah satu strategi dalam memasukkan cahaya alami ke ruang yang tidak dapat dijangkau oleh sistem pencahayaan samping. Masjid Jami’e Darussalam merupakan salah satu masjid yang menggunakan skylight. Penggunaan skylight menjadi dilema karena cahaya matahari langsung dapat masuk kedalam ruang yang dapat menyebabkan silau pada ruang. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji skylight sebagai salah satu strategi dalam sistem pencahayaan alami pada masjid. Masjid biasanya dirancang dengan pencahayaan rendah, namun pada masjid Jami’e Darussalam terdapat skylight yang dapat menghasilkan pencahayaan yang tinggi. Hal ini perlu dikaitkan dengan kenyamanan visual dari pengguna. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas skylight sebagai bukaan pencahayaan alami dalam menghasilkan kuantitas dan kualitas pencahayaan pada masjid; dan untuk mengetahui kenyamanan visual yang dirasakan oleh responden pada masjid Jami’e Darussalam. Metode yang dipakai adalah metode evaluatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan skylight walaupun menghasilkan tingkat pencahayaan yang tinggi, namun tidak berpotensi menimbulkan silau. Hal tersebut didukung oleh kenyamanan visual yang dirasakan oleh pengguna Masjid Jami’e Darussalam.

Abstract

Daylight conditions in high-rise buildings have phenomenon that the side of the room that is close to the window have a high level of daylight, while the other side receives less daylight. The use of light shelf is still possible to be installed, but light shelf still have a minimum Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI) value of 44%. This happens because the process of reflection on the light shelf occurs more than once. This study tries to design a light guiding shelf with the principle of reducing the amount of reflection so that the light received by the space is not reduced too much. This research will use the Sahid Sudirman Center as a case study building. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The hypothesis in this study is that buildings with light guiding shelf produce better and more uniform lighting quality than buildings with conventional light shelf. The data will be taken using the Dialux software to get data on the intensity of daylight on the building. The results showed that the conventional light shelf only had the best performance on uniformity of daylight at 12.00. While the light guiding shelf has the best performance on all criteria, that sDA350-6650, light uniformity, light contrast and DGP at 08.00 and 16.00. In addition to being able to meet the best daylighting quantity performance, the light guiding shelf is also able to produce good daylighting quality performance. So overall, light guiding shelf has better lighting performance than conventional light shelf, so the hypothesis in this study is accepted.
