This study identifies the role of women in the management of coastal natural resources in North Aceh, as well as the main challenges they face and their contributions to environmental sustainability. Based on a qualitative approach, interview results indicate that women have significant contributions despite being limited to supportive roles and lacking equal employment opportunities. The main challenges include the lack of government support and fair job opportunities. Greater efforts in empowerment and government support are needed to enhance the role of women in coastal natural resource management, which is essential for maintaining environmental sustainability and supporting the economy of families and communities
