<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan penegakan hukum terhadap pelaku Tindak Pidan Pencurian Kendaraan Bermotor di Wilayah Hukum Sektor Biringkanaya dan mengetahui penyebab terjadinya tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor di Wilayah Hukum Sektor Biringkanaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Normatif yang memadukan antara bahan dari buku-buku dan Peraturan Perundang-undangan. Selain itu juga, dalam penelitian ini dilakukan wawancara langsung ke Penyidik Kepolisian Sektor Biringkanaya untuk melengkapi data penulisan ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penegakan hukum Polres Biringkanaya terhadap Pencurian kendaraan bermotor di kota Makassar khususnya di Kecamatan Biringkanaya merupakan implementasi pencegahan dan penindakan. Tindakan preventif dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya tindak pidan. Sedangkan eksekusi penumpasan adalah pelaksanaan tindakan berupa penangkapan untuk mengadili pelaku tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor, dan faktor yang mendorong terjadinya pencurian kendaraan bermotor di kota Makassar khususnya di Kecamatan Biringkanaya adalah faktor ekonomi, sosial budaya dan lingkungan. Faktor-faktor ini berinteraksi dan saling mempengaruhi This study aims to determine the implementation of law enforcement against the perpetrators of the Crime of Motor Vehicle Theft in the Legal Area of the Biringkanaya Sector and to find out the causes of the Crime of Motor Vehicle theft in the Legal Area of the Biringkanaya Sector. The results of the study found that the implementation of law enforcement carried out by the Biringkanaya Police in tackling the occurrence of motor vehicle theft crimes in Makassar City, especially Biringkanaya District, was a preventive and repressive implementation. Preventive actions are carried out to prevent the occurrence of crimes.
