Abstract

This study aims to see how behavior changes of research subjects who modified behavior through modeling techniques in guiding pre-school children in using age-appropriate gadgets. The use of gadgets at preschool age has become an increasingly pressing issue in modern society, with their negative impact on mental health and social interaction. Modeling techniques are used as a foundation for designing interventions that can reshape undesirable behavior. This research method uses a qualitative research approach, where research with a qualitative approach can understand social phenomena or human behavior as a whole. This type of research uses action research. Actioan research is a way to gain knowledge and do something to change society through action research. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out with descriptive qualitative analysis. This method involves a description of the current situation, such as the background of the case, the characteristics of the child who experienced the use of gadgets not according to his age, and how modeling techniques are applied in behavior modification. This analysis will help understand the context of the case and specific details. Furthermore, the implementation of modeling techniques will be carried out, utilizing a personal and adaptive approach. This research is expected to contribute to our understanding of how modelling techniques can be applied effectively in guiding preschoolers to use gadgets according to their age. The practical implications of this research include the development of intervention strategies that can be adopted by relevant parties, such as parents, to help individuals manage their gadget use more positively and in a balanced manner.
