The application of the STEM approach must be supported by the existence of teaching materials that are in accordance with the characteristics and needs of students. One of the teaching materials that can support independent learning is modules. However, there are still modules that have not fully facilitated the application of STEM in physics learning. Modules that have not fully facilitated the application of the STEM approach in learning physics. This study aims to analyze the needs of module based on the STEM approach in learning physics. This research is a descriptive study conducted through observations in Senior High Schools (SMA N 9 Padang) with the research sample being students of class XI. Analysis of module needs based on the STEM approach, including student analysis, analysis of learning activities, analysis of graduate competency standards, and assessment analysis. The instruments in this study were questionnaires and interview sheets. The results showed that the mean score of the students was 71.42, the analysis of learning activities obtained an average value of 92.84, the standard analysis of the competence of graduates obtained an average value of 91.84 and the assessment analysis obtained an average value of 100. Therefore, it is necessary to develop physics teaching materials in the form of modules based on the STEM approach.

Abstract Low understanding of the students in learning physics suspected because physics learning patterns have not been able to optimize students' critical thinking skills. As known, the critical thinking is the key to academic success of a student. Currently, lack of critical thinking skills of students as one of the clear indicators of low quality of education. If this is allowed, then the physics learning outcomes in the future will be very apprehensive. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve critical thinking skills using interactive multimedia teaching materials based on discovery learning aided games. The development of teaching materials are using ADDIE Model. The first step of this model is analysis, i.e. preliminary study of physics learning how to condition that has lasted until today. Based on the analysis of the field findings, will be designed Interactive Multimedia Instructional Materials, and then will be the development of Instructional Materials. In this paper, we will present the results of the initial needs analysis to develop the interactive multimedia teaching materials based on discovery learning aids game for physics learning in the future. Cow dung waste in Pauh sub-district is widely available. Only partly used as a traditional fertilizer. In fact, the utilization of cow dung is one of the alternative sources of renewable energy. Although biogas technology is not something new in Indonesia, the obstacles faced by farmers are their lack of knowledge about processing cow dung into biogas and making of biogas reactors. Community service has been undertaken to provide knowledge through guidance and counseling methods to farmers about biogas, biogas reactor manufacturing and technology, and the advantages of biogas reactors, both in terms of economic and environmental values. Stages of the implementation of the activities; 1). Provide guidance and counseling to farmers about biogas and how to manufacture biogas reactor, 2). Provide guidance and counseling about the safety of biogas reactors, 3). Conduct periodic monitoring of farmer groups that are partners to the continuity and continuity of activities. The result of the activity is the availability of biogas reactor in farmer group in Pauh sub-district. The fermentation process to produce biogas in the reactor is approximately 3 weeks. Biogas reactors are built easy to make and cheap.

During this time, practicum activities in the School have not gone well. In fact, practical activities can support the understanding of the theory or material Physics taught to students. In addition, the lab can also generate student motivation and passion, as well as develop the students' process skills by conducting experiments. Experimental activities are very useful for students if this activity has been planned and designed well by teachers. Currently, technological advances can help improve Physical practice in the School. One of them by using video based laboratory (VBL). VBL is a practical activity in the laboratory in the form of video-based educational software. Technical Guidance for Making Video-Based Laboratory Application Tracker for Physics Teacher in Teachers' Consultation in Subject (MGMP) of High School Physics (SMA) in Padang and Padang Panjang City ", This activity was held for 2 months with the activity stage is preparation, implementation and activity evaluation. Based on the planning, the activities have been successfully done well. Implementation of this activity by the way the teacher is guided using the application Tracker on Physics practicum activities. The output of this activity is the Digital Video Labaratory for teaching material with Tracker application for physics practicum activity, especially Regular Straight Motion (GLB), Straight Changed Motion (GLBB), Momentum and Impulse.

DC high voltage amplifier is one of the important components to support of PVDF thin films polling equipment. Hardware polling is a very important tool in the characterization of PVDF thin films to increase piezoelectric properties. The existence of the problem will be difficult to obtain a high voltage DC sources of lead in the market encouraged us to design and create high-voltage DC source. In research that has been done I've been able to design and create high-voltage amplifier 30 KV DC as a producer of high electric field. To validate the performance of this high voltage DC amplifier has created further testing and measuring the output voltage. Testing is performed to determine the precision, accuracy and stability of the output voltage of the amplifier for more than 60 minutes. From the test results and output measurements performed show that the relative error of 4.5%. Tool output stability is good enough for a span of 30 minutes. This indicates that the design and manufacture of high DC voltage gain have been successful.   Keywords: DC Amplifier, Electric field, High voltage, Polling, PVDF Film

In this paper we report the results of studies relating to the synthesis of Cobalt Ferrite (CoFe2O4) thin films by a sputtering method. The CoFe2O4 thin film has been prepared onto silicon substrate from the sputtering targets, CoFe. Structural propertiesofthinfilms were characterized byx-ray diffraction and the morphology was characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The growth parameter are: base pressure 2,8 x 10-2 Torr, ratio of Argon:Oxygen flow rate are 100:50 sccm, deposition pressure 5.4 x10-1 Torr, growth temperature 100oC.Nanostructures of the thin film that have been analyzed are crystallite size and micro strain. We obtained the crystallite size of CoFe2O4 thin films for layer thickness of 40 and 48 nm, respectively are: 32 nm and 66 nm, while the micro strain is 8.0 x 10-4 and 10.2 x 10-4.

Mathematical Physics I is one of subjects for Physics Education’s department on STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. Mathematical Physics give you the basics of mastering the mathematical methods used in discussing the physical phenomena of nature. This course requires students to work hard in mastering the concept given. Therefore we need a teaching material in the form of modules that are effective in improving student understanding of concepts. Modules that developed serves to improve the mindset of students to think critically, creatively, and innovative (Problem Based Instruction). Students are given the opportunity to develop their creative ideas in solving the problems that can develop critical thinking skills, so that students are able to associate the concept of mathematics with physics concepts. In this research, preliminary analysis in the form of a needs analysis and analysis of concepts or content, and assessment of the necessary literature in the lecture. Analysis of the concept aims to define the content and course materials are needed in developing the module. In the study of literature in the form of an assessment of the existing teaching materials to be developed for the better. Based on the initial investigation (preliminary research) performed on students and colleagues agree to the development of module-based Mathematical Physics 1 Problem Based Instruction as teaching material in the lecture.
