Abstract

Accounting is an information system that provides reports for stakeholders about the company's condition and economic activity. The most fundamental role of accounting in business is its ability to provide various answers and information related to all kinds of financial activities and all financial related data / transactions will be recorded. The four important roles of accounting in business that must be known are first as a financial controller, second as a provider of information about finance, third to help stakeholders in making decisions, and fourth as a liaison with third parties. This community service activity was carried out in the environment of SMK Negeri 25 - South Jakarta, with the participants of this community service activity attended by 40 participants from students of SMK Negeri 25. The holding of this community service is expected to increase the understanding of every student and students of SMK Negeri 25 in terms of recording and presenting financial reports more quickly, precisely and accurately, and being able to prepare financial reports as information for decision making. The implementation method for this community service activity is to conduct training on the basics of accounting, as well as its principles and practice on how to record every financial transaction and how to form financial reports that are easy to read for users. The result of this community service is an increase in the knowledge and understanding of the participants regarding the accounting function and how the principles must be adhered to so that they can form a financial report that is easy to read by micro entrepreneurs.
