<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of the community and the role of the community in managing landslides. Research variables include the level of knowledge about the material regarding landslides and the role of the community in landslide management. Data collection techniques using tests, questionnaires, observation and interviews. Data analysis using descriptive statistical techniques and product moment correlation. The results showed that the community's knowledge was very high (51%) and high (44%), while the role of the community in disaster management was not maximal because of the results of research that showed that the majority of respondents obtained moderate criteria (59.2%) and low (31.7%). The relationship between the two variables shows results that are not in the same direction or inversely proportional to the correlation coefficient of -0.08. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat dengan peran masyarakat dalam penanggulangan bencana tanah longsor. Variabel penelitian meliputi tingkat pengetahuan terhadap materi mengenai tanah longsor dan peran masyarakat dalam penanggulangan bencana tanah longsor. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes, kuesioner, observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat berada pada kritria sangat tinggi (51%) dan tinggi (44%), sementara itu peran masyarakat dalam penanggulangan bencana belum maksimal karena hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memperoleh skor pada kriteria sedang (59,2%) dan rendah (31,7%).
