<![CDATA[The gay growth in Padang City becomes more concern to society because of homosexual attraction cause sexual infectious diseases such as HIV or AIDS. Further, pressing the gay growth is one of problems that become responsibility of Public Health Office of Padang City. Therefore, counselling to the gay interpersonally thru the communication is necessary. This research use study approach with interviewing nine informan and conclude that in counselling, the counsellor have to able to approach them appropriate their characters in delivering message and communication process can be done continuously. Otherwise, the communication process will stop if the kind of message that delivered not appropriate with the gay needs. Messages from counselors are not always accepted by gays because they will only give feedback on messages that they expect. Padang City Health Office needs to conduct periodic evaluations of its objectives in order to be able to plan and resolve problems while the coaching process is taking place so as to be able to suppress the growth rate of gay behavior that has an impact on sexually transmitted diseases and HIV / AIDS]]>
