<![CDATA[Abstrak Dekorasi adalah seni menghias suatu ruangan, dekorasi dilakukan pada acara-acara tertentu misalnya adalah acara pernikahan, lamaran, dan perayaan ulang tahun. Kegiatan mendekorasi ruangan dilakukan dengan menambahkan bunga hidup sebagai penghias sekaligus pengharum ruangan. Namun, bunga hidup memiliki beberapa kekurangan seperti kesegaran bunga hidup tidak bertahan lama sehingga dekorasi yang telah dipasang hanya bertahan beberapa jam saja. Penggunaan bunga tiruan bukan merupakan solusi yang tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan mendaur ulang plastik kresek kemudian dibentuk menjadi bunga. Plastik kresek dipilih karena mudah didapat dan menjadi salah satu limbah rumah tangga. Tujuan melakukan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui hasil uji coba pembuatan dekorasi daur ulang menggunakan panas setrika tombol I (2) mengetahui hasil uji coba pembuatan dekorasi daur ulang menggunakan panas setrika tombol II (3) mengetahui hasil uji coba pembuatan dekorasi daur ulang menggunakan panas setrika tombol III. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah (1) studi pustaka. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan (1) hasil uji coba 1 menghasilkan tekstur kasar, hal tersebut terjadi karena panas setrika tombol I tidak terlalu panas sehingga plastik masih tampak tebal dan tidak merekat dengan baik (2) hasil uji coba 2 menghasilkan tekstur cukup kasar tidak terlalu halus, hal tersebut terjadi karena panas setrika tombol II cukup panas sehingga plastik cukup terlihat tipis dan merekat dengan baik (3) hasil uji coba 3 menghasilkan tekstur yang sangat halus, hal tersebut terjadi karena panas setrika tombol III sangat panas sehingga plastik terlihat sangat tipis. Kata Kunci: limbah plastik, daur ulang, dekorasi. Abstract Room decoration is an art of decorating room. It be done on special occasion like wedding, engagement, and birthday celebration. Decorating room by adding flowers as decoration also can perfumed a whole room at once, but flowers can?t always fresh so the decoration that already applied is only stay for a few of hours. The using of artificial flower is not the right solution to solve this problem. One of the solutions that can be done is plastic recycling to be a flower artificial, because plastic is easy to get and it is one of house waste. This study aims to know (1) the result of the recycle decoration experiment that using an iron with set I, (2) the result of the recycle decoration experiment that using an iron with set II, and (3) the result of the recycle decoration experiment that using an iron with set III. The data collected by using (1) literature review method. This study shows that (1) the result of the experiment 1 is hard texture, it is because the iron with set I is not hot enough so the plastic still looks thick and not stick well. (2) the result of the experiment 2 is hard enough texture and not too smooth, it is because the iron with set II hot enough so the plastic looks thin and stick well. (3) the result of the experiment 3 is smooth texture, it is because the iron with set III is hot so the plastic looks very thin. Keywords: plastic waste, recycle, decoration.]]>
