The research aimed to determine the effect of adding curcuma extract (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) to commercial feed on the growth and survival rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) seeds. Sample organism used in the study was 200 tilapia seeds with an average weight of 1.55 grams, obtained from BBI Tulo, Dolo District, Sigi Regency. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with five replications. Treatment A: without addition curcuma extract; Treatment B: addition curcuma extract 4 g/kg of feed; Treatment C: addition curcuma extract 8 g/kg of feed; Treatment D: addition curcuma extract 12 g/kg of feed. The prepared curcuma extract is then put into a spray bottle according to the predetermined dose. The biomass and weight of the sample organisms were pondered at the beginning and the end of maintenance period. Measurement of water quality includes temperature, pH, dissolve oxygen and ammonia. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (p <0.05) on the absolute weight of tilapia seeds. The highest percentage of absolute weight and survival rate in tilapia seeds was obtained in treatment D of 1.423 g and 94%, respectively.
