Perfectionism, Shame, Social Support and Fear of Failure in High School Students

Abstract

Fear of Failure is a problem that is being experienced by students. Educators and researchers pay great attention to the phenomenon of Fear of Failure among students. This study aimed to determine the relationship between Perfectionism, Shame, Social Support to Fear of Failure in high school students. This research is a type of quantitative correlational research. In this study, data collection tools are using the Perfectionism scale, the Shame scale, the Social Support scale, and the Fear of Failure scale. Subjects taken in this study amounted to 80 of the total population of 414 students. Techniques in taking the subject are using population research and quota sampling. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with multiple analysis techniques. The results showed that the value of F count = 15.743 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, these results indicate that there is a relationship between Perfectionism, Shame, Social Support, and Fear of Failure in high school students
