Abstract

Kata kunci: Gastropoda, Indikator Perairan, Kelimpahan, Keanekaragaman, Danau Rawa Pening ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the abundance of gastropods, the concentration of organic material and the suppoting variables of water quality on Rawa Pening. The research was conducted in October 2019 using purposive sampling technique with three stations (inlet, center, outlet). The samples taken  on the bottom substrate and gastropods. The results showed that the concentration of organic material ranged from 1.06% to 2.62% with the highest concentration of organic material at station 2 and the lowest concentration of organic material at station 1. The relationship between organic material and abudance of  gastropods had a strong correlation with (r) 0.658. The types of  gastropods which found in Rawa Pening waters are grouped into 5 species, namely Melanoides sp, Pila ampullaceal, Pila polita, Pila scutata, and Radix rubiginosa. The abundance of individual gastropods ranged from 128571 – 220000 ind/m3. Based on the diversity index obtained, the water conditions in Rawa Pening began to become polluted. Keywords: Gastropods, Water Indicator,  Abundance,  Diversity, Rawa Pening Lake
