<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the increasing number of negative behaviors of school-age children. Negative behaviors make parents worried about their children's association. To anticipate this so that school-age children are not easily affected by the moral degradation, the Islamic Boarding School is the institution. In Islamic boarding schools, many apply various methods or activities in an effort to form discipline awareness in students or female students. The location of this research is at the Pondok Pesantren Nurul Haramain Putri NW Narmada. The formulation of the problem in this study are, (1) What is the role of Islamic boarding schools in developing student discipline awareness at the Nurul Haramain Putri NW Narmada Islamic Boarding School? (2) What are the obstacles faced by the Nurul Haramain Putri NW Islamic Boarding School in developing discipline awareness? This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive method with steps including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) The role of the Nurul Haramain Putri NW Narmada Islamic Boarding School in developing the disciplined character of female students is that discipline in general can be said to be running as it should, Tips for inculcating discipline are carried out through increasing motivation, education and training, leadership, enforcement of rules and the application of rewards and punishments. (2) Obstacles faced in the application of character education in Islamic boarding schools include: often female students are tired and in participating in boarding school activities so that not a few students have received punishment, as well as the character and habits of female students who have just entered the first semester at Islamic boarding schools are still difficult. to overcome, this is due to their inability to adjust to the Islamic boarding school environment.]]>
