The study aims to examine the relationship between body image, self-esteem, and selfie activities on Instagram in adolescents. The study identifies the association of adolescent’s assessment or evaluation of experiences on physical appearance with their overall evaluation of themselves reviewed from selfie activities on social media including taking, saving, editing, and uploading selfie results. Participants of this study were 16-20 years old of 115 adolescents. Research instruments used are Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS), Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale and Selfie-frequency. The result indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between body image and self-esteem. Appearance orientation, being a dimension of body image, is also positively associated with selfie activities. Meanwhile, there is no relationship between selfie activities and self-esteem.
