Abstract

There are about 40% of workers stated that their work is full of pressure at a dangerous level and defines nursing as the profession most at very high risk of experiencing stress. Among them there are 80% of workers feel stress in their work and they need help to overcome these problems. The results of research from Haryanti et al. There is a relationship between workload and work stress of nurses in Semarang District Hospital. This study aims to describe the workload with work stress on caregivers at Panti Werdha Budi Mulia 1 Cipayung, East Jakarta in 2018. This study uses a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. This research was conducted at the Panti Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia I Cipayung, East Jakarta. The time for collecting research data was from June 21 to July 21 2018. The sampling technique chosen was Purposive Sampling with 6 informants. Data were taken by in-depth interviews, document review and observation. Data analysis using triangulation. The results showed from the adaptation process and getting closer to the elderly by talking to them so that they felt comfortable. There is job satisfaction of the informant, feels comfortable working with a comfortable work environment. In addition, because of their work motivation, almost all of the informants feel happy because they are looking for a reward. The tasks given to caregivers are appropriate and everyone enjoys their work because there is enough rest time and work relationships for fellow co-workers to support each other.
