<![CDATA[Abstract Prayer times is one of the most important discussions in Islamic Law, because prayer times are included in the pillars of prayer. The discussion in this research is about the prayer times in the village of Sumberejo, especially there is an early postponement of the Asr prayer time in congregation. This habit has an impact on the understanding of surrounding community, especially the younger generation. The purposeof this research was to determine how the position of Asr time, especially the Asr prayer in congregation in the village of Sumberejo, in terms of Fiqh Mawāqīt Aṣ-Ṣalāt and Falak Science. The method used in this research was field research with qualitative approach. The data collection techniques were using interviews, field studies and also documentation studies. The result of the research shows that the understanding of the community are devided into two understandings, those who already know why the azan is postponed and a sign of the time of prayer. From Fiqh Mawāqīt Aṣ-Ṣalāt, the time for Asr prayer in congregation is included in the category of ikhtiyār time and also included in the Jawāz time. Abstrak Waktu sholat merupakan salah satu pembahasan yang sangat penting dalam syariat Islam, karena waktu sholat termasuk dalam rukun sholat. Pembahasan dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang waktu shalat di Desa Sumberejo khususnya terdapat penundaan awal waktu shalat Ashar berjamaah. Kebiasaan ini berdampak pada pemahaman masyarakat sekitar, khususnya generasi muda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kedudukan waktu Ashar khususnya shalat Ashar berjamaah di Desa Sumberejo ditinjau dari Fiqh Mawāqīt Aṣ-Ṣalāt dan Ilmu Falak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, studi lapangan dan juga studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman masyarakat terbagi menjadi dua pemahaman, yaitu pemahaman yang sudah mengetahui mengapa azan ditunda dan pemahaman tentang tanda-tanda waktu salat. Dari Fiqh Mawāqīt Aṣ-Ṣalāt, waktu shalat Ashar berjamaah termasuk dalam kategori waktu ikhtiyār dan juga termasuk dalam waktu Jawāz.
