This classroom action research with the title of the learning effort improvement through modification basketball game students of junior high school 40 Palembang, aims to prove how much effort learning improvement through modification basketball game on students of junior high school 40 Palembang. The method used is descriptive cumulative. In this study, students were in thorough are students of class VII C, amounting to 40. The results show that the learning outcomes of students increased from 34.81% at the beginning of the test data be 43.44% at the end of the first cycle and increased to 54, 12% at the end of the second cycle. Increased levels of student participation are shown by the increased activity of students in cycle 2 of 64.31% in cycle 1, be 77.00% at the end of cycle 2. Based on the results of this study, we concluded the basic techniques of basketball games can be improved through learning efforts basketball games improvement by modifying basketball games on students of junior high school 40 Palembang.
