A new face of urban sufism: Millenial sufism of mahasiswa ahlith thariqah al-mu’tabarah an-nahdliyah. In recent years, the phenomenon of urban sufism has become a religious trend in urban areas to meet the spiritual needs of the community. During this trend, the MATAN organization (Mahasiswa Ahlith Thariqah Al-Mu’tabarah An-Nahdliyyah), based on youth and students, offers a different model of sufism. This study aims to analyze how the model of the sufism movement developed by MATAN during the urban sufism trend, which generally develops in urban areas. By using applied scientific research, this research focuses on the organizational activities of the MATAN Commissariat of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This study concludes that compared to other urban sufism trends, the model of the sufism movement brought by MATAN is more moderate. The millennial sufism movement still adheres to the thariqah mu'tabarah tradition while still encouraging the active role of members in social life and the development of science and technology. As an organization, MATAN can balance the dimensions of self-spiritual development and the dimensions of intellectual development and strengthen the nationalism of its members. These three dimensions are implemented in activities that are amali, akhlaki, and falsafi.
