<![CDATA[Pekalongan city has a land carrying capacity that varies according to the type of soil. the phenomenon of subsidence also occurs with a decrease time that varies according to the load and type of soil. the carrying capacity of the land is related to land subsidence and the length of time of its subsidence. the study was conducted in pekalongan city by taking soil samples in the pdam environment of pekalongan city. data and sample analysis was carried out in the laboratory to obtain the large carrying capacity of the land, soil subsidence, and the length of time of subsidence. the results showed that the distribution of soil engineering properties parameters can describe the carrying capacity of soil in pekalongan city which can be used as an instrument to determine soil carrying capacity and evaluate space utilization from the aspect of land use suitability and land capability. land loading exceeding the carrying capacity of the soil will trigger a failure of soil stability in the form of deformation / subsidence.]]>
