Abstract

Kata kunci: Model Hidrodinamika, Musim Barat, Pantai Gosong Abstract Indonesia plans to build the first nuclear power plant (NPP) in Gosong Coast, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. Construction is planned to start in 2025. This study aims to analyze the hydrodynamic conditions in the waters of Gosong Beach in the west monsoon. The hydrodynamic model can be used as a reference for estimating the distribution of various kinds of radionuclide waste that is released into the ocean when a nuclear power plant has an accident. The method used is quantitative method with 2D modeling. This model is simulated using the Hydrodynamics Module on MIKE 21 software with a scenario for 15 days which includes conditions during the highest and lowest tides in January 2025. Based on the results obtained, the waters of Gosong Beach have mixed semidiurnal tidal type. Wind parameters play a greater role in hydrodynamic conditions. The model results show a significant difference between the highest and lowest tide conditions, where the current velocity at the lowest low tide is greater than the current velocity at the highest tide. The pattern of current movement during tidal conditions is dominant to the northeast at a speed of 0.010 m/s – 0.610 m/s, with the current direction coming from the south and then turning to the northeast. The pattern of current movement at low tide is dominant to the northwest with a speed of 0.010 m/s – 1.021 m/s, with the current direction coming from the northeast and then turning to the northwest. Keywords: Hydrodinamic Model, West Monsoon, Gosong Coast
