Abstract

In this research, a 3 dB hybrid coupler has been developed for altimeter radio  with operating frequency at 4,3 GHz using exponential tapered transmission line on its series arms, hence impedance characteristics become non-linear. Exponential taper has been selected due to shorter taper length compare with Triangular taper and Klopfenstein taper, for a lowest reflection coefficient.Keywords: 3 dB hybrid coupler, exponential tapered transmission lineDalam penelitian ini, telah dikembangkan suatu pengkopel hibrid 3 dB untuk radio altimeter yang bekerja pada frekuensi 4,3 GHz dengan menggunakan penyesuaian impedansi lengan seri dengan distribusi taper eksponensial, sehingga karakteristik impedansi yang diperoleh menjadi nonlinear. Pemilihan exponential taper  disebabkan karena memiliki panjang taper yang lebih pendek dibandingkan dengan triangular taper dan Klopfenstein taper untuk koefisien pantulan yang terendah.  Kata kunci: pengkopel hibrid 3 dB, exponential tapered transmission line
